    Just found this channel by chance. Moving down to Melbourne in August and I’ve been looking to learn how to fish the area. Thanks!

      Good deal it’s a really great place to live. There are a lot of great places to fish here and a large variety of species. I would say your best bait to start with is live shrimp or a decent paddle tail. I would definitely recommend getting a boat even a Jon boat will get you out and exploring and that’s the key to catching fish around here. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it and maybe I’ll run into you down here I’m always out and about.

    Great video man, thanks. I'm in Palm Bay and looking for more ways to get out fishing, really haven't done much since I was a kid. And I enjoyed the brief tour of your homestead at the start of the video.

    Glad I found this I just moved up to Palm Bay from broward and was worried the fishing wouldn’t be as good but I’m hoping to get out up here and catch some good fish 😂

      Definitely get out and explore. The more you move around and fish different spots the more you will find the fish.

      C54 canal by the dam. Or a john boat thru turkey creek will do you justice with live shrimp any day of the week. I moved here 20 years ago.
      And im sure you know you can park just about anywhere along Indian river its all the same water

    Dope video man. You absolutely whooped me. I fished for about 4 hours today and spent atleast 1.5 - 2 hours throwing paddletails, spoons, VuDu shrimp... NOTHING. I had 2 other rods going with fresh cut finger mullet and got some massive sail cats and 1 baby bull shark, but no trouts snappers reds snook nothing. Ima try the keep walking strat instead of sticking to a general area. Hope this works tomorrow but also dont know the state of the water really. How is it currently? March 16th 2024

      It’s definitely a hit or miss kinda fishing at the causeway. If the baits are in there the other fish are going to be as well. I definitely need to go back and hit the causeway again soon maybe later this week I’ll go check it out. Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it.

    That s how you do it. In Fort Pierce, I ll start hitting jetty, the starting at the park and work the whole jetty. The bait moves so fish move so I move.

      Yea definitely will keep you catching more fish. I see so many people just parked along the road in a lawn chair. You really need to get around and move to cover more area. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it.

    Coming to west Melbourne from NY the 19th and would love to find a good spot for bass fishing

    • @centralfloridafisherman9931
      @centralfloridafisherman9931  Год назад

      There are alot of good spots to catch bass most of the canals and small ponds all hold bass. My recommendation would be the Tillman canal and the c54 canal down by the stick marsh.

      Blue Cypress and lake Garcia are good spots

      I was out yesterday and the wind was blowing hard out of the east. Best bet is to fish on the east side finding something that’s going to block the wind. Water is cooler now so the fish are feeding and active. Live bait like shrimp with be your best bait. Paddle tail lures will be best lures to throw Berkeley Gulp in my opinion. Wind looks like it’s going to blow the rest of the week. 192 causeway and Eau Gallie causeway under the bridges to stay out of the wind best option. I’ll do more fishing today and let you know.

    How do you keep treble hooked lures in your pockets?

    • @centralfloridafisherman9931
      @centralfloridafisherman9931  Год назад +1

      I keep them in little glass jars I bought. The jars are used for keeping spices like pepper corns and bay leaves. I believe I bought them at Walmart.

    • @MikeyB9282
      @MikeyB9282 Год назад +1

      You can put the lures in the gulp bag

    • @centralfloridafisherman9931
      @centralfloridafisherman9931  Год назад +1

      Yea I just worry about treble hooks poking a hole in the bag because gulp have a stinky liquid in them
