    Wow great pomps!!! Question what is a naked rig (seems a single dropper)

      Thanks! What I mean by "naked" is no floats or beads, just a hook. Tight lines 🤘

    Great video! I was at Vilano near St. Augustine last weekend and the ghost shrimp holes were everywhere but I didn't have my pump. Love seeing all the pompano being caught.

      My favorite quote right there. I used to overthink conditions on when I should go and one of my buddies told me you can't catch em from the couch and now I just go when I can.

    Great video, i see you getting on some of those summer time Pomps 😮🎣🐟🐟, i was out there this past weekend, during that full moon 🌕 putting a friend that flew ✈️ in from Atlanta on his very first pompano, that Late Evening 🌉 bite was on fire, i had pump some ghost 👻🦐 Earlier , about 2 Dozen, but like u i had to fight off the Ladys and switch to shrimp trying to save some, I lost one pomp, couldn't get past catching 2 , but ended the night with my friend catching a 15" to the fork and a 13" and 2 massive blues , 1 baby Black tip🦈, the Key for me was similar to what your doing, am always taking notes and learning things from u , tieing my own rigs , using # 4 owner hooks # 1 switching it up , lite set up., naked rigs , float no float, i also tie a lot of my Rigs using eagle claw # 1 circle c hooks also, oh buy the way my friend wasn't keeping fish , they were my dinner 😋🐟🐟🐟 the next day, he left ✈️ with pictures of a great experience,, Thanks again Justin, waiting on the next one,, Stay Safe God Bless 👍,,

      This video was Saturday from the weekend so it might have been the same time you were out with your buddy. Definitely a great bite! Those ghosties are money during the summer for sure. Just wish the ladies didn't like em 🤣 Awesome that you got your friend on some summertime Pompano. I got out Sunday and the grass started to show. We caught fish but nothing special. Sadly the June Grass has shown back up in full force since the weekend. Appreciate ya Joseph and good luck out there.

    Hi. What are you using to wrap the bait onto the hook shank? Never seen that before, but it makes sense to me. Thanks!

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  12 дней назад

      It is called Bait Thread. You can buy it at some tackle shops or online.
      I get mine here:

    I'm taking the family out to Destin at the end of the month for vacation from South Texas, I want to do some fishing while were out there. What are good areas to go that I'm not gonna be that guy thats fishing where families are out swimming. How is morning fishing I figure get out before it gets crowded... Any advice is appreciated... Great vids by the way looks like a blast...

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  7 дней назад +1

      Mornings are great. Good bite and mess people. Not really familiar with Destin but I think Henderson is a spot that you can get away from people. Princess Beach is too but you'll need a Eglin Range Pass (free online) to fish there. Pompano rigs or single droppers with and without floats will catch about everything from the beach. During the summer I like using a rig with just the hook (no bead or float). Sandfleas, Shrimp, or Fishbites for bait. If you can get ghost shrimp or Blue Crab those will work great too. Cast your baits at different distances until you find a good bite then focus there. Hope you have agreat vacation and good luck!

    Question i bought this 3 piece fishing rod and the pieces dont go in all the way, like it gets really tight but the different color tape that almost feels like sand paper doesnt disappear into the rod. Is this normal?

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  11 дней назад

      Should be fine. I have a couple rods that don't look like they go all the way in as well but they've never come apart while using them. Tight lines 🤘

    Being a total newbie what are go shrimp? Bought at tackle shops?

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  День назад

      You have to collect the Ghost Shrimp yourself. I get them from the Sound or Bay using a shrimp pump.

    Hey Justin. Do you find you get more distance with 4oz over 3oz, or is it just me?

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  14 дней назад +1

      All depends on the rod really. With my rods 4oz throws further than 3oz. 5oz is the sweet spot for the Ninja Dagger 12s but I just stick with 4oz.

    Why do you got so many freaking poles out at the same time I don’t I just like one pole so I go in concert at one, but your concert is three or four poles and if you got one fish on one pole and then all of a sudden you got a fishing pole and another fishing pole fishing on all four of them what are youfish I don’t know that’s just me though

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  6 дней назад +1

      Cover more water and fish different distances. It's great fun! I do enjoy fishing just one rod too but when targeting Pompano I use 3 or 4. Tight lines 🤘
