    I was able to slide the float over the hook. Instead of cutting the float I was able to slide the float and it stays pretty tight. If you don’t have to cut it and it may stay on the hook with minimal float loss.
    Great video.

It’s kind of a mix between the traditional dropper rig and the mortician rig. What I like about the mortician rig is there is a single line for the fish to see not 2 lines. It’s worked great! Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats ruclips.net/user/postUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.

    That's an awesome idea, I will have to try this out if my experiment doesn't work next weekend. I have a better question. How do you like using the bait runner or Live Liner reels in the surf? I have switched over to nothing but bait runners/ live liners, including several Spin fisher, Fierce IV and I also have the Shamano and the Diawa version. Ironically, every time I am surf fishing and when I caught something, I didn't have the Live liner turned on, it was in normal drag...lol. I have yet to have a hit to see if the reel really takes off when a drum hits. But I was just curious if you like the Spinfisher reels where the drag for the Live Liner is factory set. Im not so sure how I like it, I kinda like being able to set it myself like you can on the Fierce III/IV. I really wish Penn would make the Slammer in a Live Liner reel. Even if it was $500.00 id buy it.

    • @SlotCityFishing
      @SlotCityFishing  23 дня назад +1

      @@StephenDuffitt that’s all I use is SSV live liners and probably will use them forever. Gear collecting isn’t fishing. Even old cheap stuff you can catch the same fish just as effectively. When I’m chunk baiting for big drum is really the only time u use the live liners tho.

    Second can you do the video please making that rig as you offered to do. So are you keeping the regular sliding float on and then attaching the second one on the hook or taking the sliding float off and just putting the float on the hook? That part was confusing to me. If you can would like to see a picture of the float you are putting on the hook and where you got them.
