@ good deal I’ve just been hunting so much lately. I have a hog video I’m working on now and just got a 10’ gator so I have to edit that video as well. I am definitely ready to get my boat back in that salt water.

@@40s9s3 Yea I definitely agree on that. Usually if I’m fishing the points it’s spots that I’ve seen groups of snook on a regular basis hanging out a little deeper.

I call around the night before I go and I find them most of the time at Riggs or man overboard or bucktails. It is hit or miss though. Definitely helps me plan better by knowing the night before and getting there first thing when they open.

@centralfloridafisherman9931 ok. I usually fly by seat of pants and figure maybe should grab bait incase lures not working. Sometimes get lucky but usually is a fail when looking for croakers

The big redfish in deeper water. I find the trout active during the winter on the sand flats and in any canal off the main river the water temp will be higher and the fish will hang in those canals. We will have bluefish and Spanish mackerel show up in the cooler months as well. They will be traveling in schools.

You must not be from Florida. We have not size limits and we can keep male and female crabs. Good call out if I was from a different state.

@@centralfloridafisherman9931 your right ! I'm from Texas !! To keep a female crab with a triangle tail is illegal in the Comercial industry...

@@dpierson489 I get those comments a lot from different states. Every thing from shooting a raccoon with a 308 not being legal to crabs to my hog feeders baiting hogs. It’s ok every state has it own laws for its own reasons and I obey every law here in Florida. Lord knows I’m putting my whole life on the internet so it better be by the book. It was surprising when I saw the water quality. And it’s always a fun trip with the wife and the dogs. That’s my happy place.

Yea it was definitely slot but my lady made the call to let it swim away.

The water is being dumped from the st John’s river all the fresh water being drained out of the center of the state. It’s called tannic I was worried I wasn’t going to catch anything with the amount of fresh water in the river.

We all definitely dodged a big one with this storm. The tornados that came out of this storm were definitely scary. I’m ready to get started on my little 12’ boat. If I could get to with rob that would be an absolute dream of a fishing trip. Maybe one day if I do I’ll definitely remember this conversation. Now we just wait for the water to clean up and we can get back to fishing. Thanks for commenting hopefully we meet up someday in the future and do some fishing.

@@JohnWilliams-vt8ep yea we got very lucky on this one that rain they got up north would have put Melbourne and Palm Bay under water. The tornadoes are what I worry about most. You can prep for the hurricane but those tornadoes will destroy everything. We lost power around 1 AM but the power company’s are really doing an amazing job getting everything put back together. Glad you’re safe hopefully this is the last one for the year.

We’re all doing great. Now we’re bracing for hurricane Milton. Lots of boarding up and preparing for a pretty nasty storm. I should be getting the Harleys ready for biketoberfest. I will be filming the hurricane so watch for that video.

I think the best baits to use are live shrimp cut mullet chunks live mullet and my favorite are greenies. Those baits right there will catch everything in the river.

Yes during small game you can use a dog to hunt rabbits and quail. No dogs for hogs or deer.

Yea we run all over out there. I’m ready to get back into some cooler weather fishing. I have 2 gator tags for hell n blazes I gotta get filled after this storm gets gone.

@@dantheairboatman1234 it doesn’t rattle at all. It ride real quiet. I had to release it I didn’t have a cooler and hopefully you head down there and catch it or it will be even bigger next time I see it.

Yea it definitely happens. Especially when you don’t want it to. That’s my second one this year and it’s not even fall yet.

I bought it at tractor supply they are to keep squirrels from climbing a pole to get into a bird feeder. They also sell the feeder funnel at bass pro shops. Both work well but the squirrel one is smaller and fits better in a small garage can. You definitely need one it makes a huge difference on how often you have to fill the feeder.

@@richardsanborn540 That’s at Wickham Park. I usually shoot in my backyard but this bow was like 2’ high so I needed to get it dialed in so I didn’t lose any arrows. They’re getting to expensive to replace.

You’re probably 100% correct. I bet that’s always the case I wonder how many giant fish we all just pass up thinking we’re going to a better spot.

I’m actually getting ready to go hit up some canals and see what I can catch and then maybe hit a couple ponds for some bass and try not to get caught. I saw about 5 of those big lizards at frigates yesterday. It’s only a matter of time before they are all over here.

@@Coyote724 No I’ve never used them I do all my hunting on my own. Definitely be a way to get that hog in the freezer though. I will look them up.

I just did some research on them and it sounds like a great time. $250.00 that’s not bad at all for the amount of meat your going to get and the amount of fun you’ll have. Sounds like a cool group of people run it.

@@ToniAtwood thank you! You definitely have to get out there and start scouting. I’m fortunate enough to have some private land to hunt on but I love the chase of those hogs on public land. I will spend alot of time out on public land just slow walking listening and looking for well traveled hog trails. I will creep back those hog trails sometimes for a mile until I find lots of hog poop. Once you find that poop area the hogs are usually bedded within 40 yards of their bathroom. They don’t poop where they sleep. That’s one tip I can give you for hunting public land. The area they are going to be in is going to be very thick and you’ll probably have to have mud boots to get into the dry spot there sleeping at.

It looks very promising this year. I have been hunting this particular area for a few years. It’s close in the woods within 1/2 mile so I won’t have a heat stroke walking in. The place I really would like to scout is 4.6 miles in from this spot but I’m going to have to wait until colder rifle season to get in there. Fingers crossed this spot will produce this archery season.

Thank you. I use whatever shrimp they have available at the bait shop some are white some have more of a red tint. I try to hook it as close the the horn in the front of the head as possible depending on hook size. I typically run 1/0 to 2/0 Owner hooks for live shrimp. That dark spot in the shrimp is the brain so you want to go in front or behind it so you don’t kill the shrimp. Sometimes I hook the shrimp in the tail and it will swim away from you and go under mangrove’s and low docks. If I’m going to do a slow retrieve I’ll hook in the head to give a much more realistic swimming action. Another thing is to break the shrimps horn off so it doesn’t block the fishes mouth from the hook. Thanks for watching and replying I hope this helps you out.
