Beautiful! The clouds, the crystal clear water and even the choice of music as the ducks cavorted about was captivating. Loved it!

The river above the upper lake is not to be missed the next time you head that way. The meandering green water running thru meadows is like no other.
Best views of any trailhead in the Winds.
Nice video, love the third song used.

Enjoyed your video. The Green River Lakes in Wyoming is one of my favorite places on earth. My father worked at the GP-Bar Ranch as a teenager and took us there many times. I have continued to visit the area throughout my life. I love the place.

This is a great video now have of this area. Coincidentally we were staying at Fremont Lake Campground around the same time you were near the Green River Lakes. We have seen about half of your videos now. I like how you incorporate history w your travels. I did have one question on you. You had mentioned the road to Green River Lake had a number of potholes in it. Do you think it is too rough for the travel trailer we are pulling (28ft). Would really like to go to theGreen River Campground but was not sure about pulling a trailer there. Thanks

Mark, funny about you camping Fremont Lake, not too far from where we were. Maybe we passed each other in Pinedale.
You asked about the rough road to the Green River Lakes, yes they were rough but you should be able to take a trailer there. Here is a video that convinced us to visit and he pulls a trailer. ruclips.net/video/zAumhI89nZM/видео.html
We did air down when leaving and that helped tremendously.
Hopefully you enjoy that location as much as we did. Let us know how it goes.

Good to know. We are planning on a Oregon history tour this year out west so we have Green River lakes on our agenda. Back in 2021 we did the Lewis and Clark trail from ND to Idaho, which was great. Appreciate the Oregon Trail history which will help us this year.
We will ask the NFS in Pinedale about the road before we get there to check on current road conditions. We have seen several episodes of Grand Adventure but did not see this one so thanks for the link. BTW you are a great drone pilot too. I used to fly RC airplanes so know somewhat how hard this is. Thnaks for replying.

We have enjoyed several places Grand Adventures has show in his videos. He does a nice job.
I hope you have a wonderful trip this summer. Enjoy the Green River Lakes area.
Thanks for you kind compliments and again thanks for watching and commenting.

Can you tell me how far the hike is to the viewpoint of Squaretop mountain along the river?

    • @HaventSeenItYet
      @HaventSeenItYet  10 месяцев назад

AllTrails says it’s a 7.7 mile loop trail. The view of Square Top overlooking the lake with the Merganser Ducks was at the midpoint of the hike.

We only did the Green River Lakes loop trail on this day. Check out the All Trails app, that would give you all the trails in the area and you could chose the trail that fits your skill level. Have fun hiking.
      Thanks for watching!

Sorry but I have to downvote this video, and that's something I rarely do when someone has gone to such efforts to produce it. Understating the brutally destructive capability of the Green River Lakes Road is doing everyone a terrible disservice. It's one of my favorite places to camp because it's close to home.
It is also being loved to death.
If you visit please be courteous, respectful and show appreciation the people who had the foresight to protect it for future generations.
