For those viewers who prefer alcohol-free perfumes, today’s video is a guide on how to produce a very long-lasting perfume that is alcohol-free
There are a few reasons why some people may prefer Alcohol-Free perfumes.
The first could be sensitivity to alcohol and skin irritation concerns. More so, there are those with super sensitive skin who just cannot tolerate the drying nature of alcohol. Another reason might just be a desire for a more subtle fragrance which tends to have a longer-lasting scent due to the absence of alcohol evaporating quickly.
Furthermore, alcohol-free perfumes are often perceived as a healthier and more eco-friendly choice.
In this video, the solvent used to dissolve our perfume oil is the Isopropyl Myristate (IPM).
Here is what you should know about Isopropyl Myristate in Perfume dilution:
It is a common ingredient used in perfumes and cosmetics, mainly as a solvent, helping to dissolve and blend different fragrance components. Also, it can contribute to the overall feel and texture of a perfume formulation on the skin.
When compared to some other solvents used in perfumery, IPM is also known for being less irritating to the skin, making it suitable for individuals with sensitivities.
IPM makes the perfume fragrance last a little longer than using alcohol.
The correct ratio of Isopropyl Myristate (IPM) to Perfume concentrate in a perfume blend varies and depends on various factors like the desired intensity of the fragrance, the specific characteristics of the perfume oil, and finally, the intended application of the final product.
Generally, a typical ratio might range from 1:1 to 1:3 (IPM to Perfume Oil) for a balanced and well-diluted fragrance blend.

I am planning to make a perfume without alcohol
Is it okay to make it with the following ratio?
IPM 80%
FRAGRANCE OIL 20%
How long will the shelf life be?
This is like 4:1 ratio. Why not 2:1. Because what you have is a little more dilution and I am afraid the fragrance when sprayed might not last long. Except you used a very concentrated perfume oil.

This should depend on the strength of your perfume oil. You may still consider 1:1 ratio if it is not a strong perfume

Oil perfume is still Perfume oil or Perfume concentrate; degree of concentration might just differ for different product

Hey brother, i actually tried making perfume with ipm and fragrance oil, everything went well but i was not able to achieve lasting of the perfume, the scent got very light after a few minutes, is it because of the quality of my perfume oil or is there anything else i can add with the mix, i was hoping to sell a non alcoholic perfume, do let me know
You can do ratio 2:1. IPM to perfume oil. Is the perfume a concentrated oil perfume? Or you bought already diluted perfume?

Good. But you didn't add PG. That's Proplyn Glycol. That's not the spelling anyways.
