*damn, your contents are undeniably so cool and unique. we are so lucky to have you in the fragrance community.*
agreed
I found this quite cool! I remember i did some research into making my own perfumes a few years back but it didn't lead to any action, just research 🤣
Same here. Maybe we should try it!
This was a great concept. Would love to see more.
My recommendation as a perfumer is to explore using more aromachemicals. Perfumes made only with essential oils unfortunately usually smell very amateurish. Some other recommendations:
1. Utilize a variety of musks
2. Lily of the valley raw materials are absolutely imperative in getting a finished and refined feel
3. High impact materials need to be added in trace quantities, things like superambers or aldehydes or damascones, etc.
4. You need more materials haha… you always need more materials 🤑
5. Patience. It took me over a year to make my first big breakthrough and make a fragrance that smelled professional. You have to keep smelling, reading, collecting new materials, and most importantly experimenting
Good luck and looking forward to seeing your progress
Lily of the valley in every perfume you make?
3rd is imp but 4 is very important
Think I’ll just buy Naxos. And cover the feminine dry down after a couple of hours with Joop La parfum. It adds some masculinity back. Do You know how many years and money to figure that out. 😂. I’m throwing up the white flag now. I’ll just pay to wear it.
@@rokinrandy it’s much cheaper to just buy the perfumes rather than attempt to recreate them haha. Perfumery is a great hobby but for example I’ve spent thousands of dollars over the last few years just in supplies, and have probably put in close to a thousand hours of studying and experimenting
@@kurush61hi how are you? Thank you for your advice I really appreciate it. I'm.acrually interested in making perfumes myself and want to get into it and the fact that you have your insights and advice after spending 1000 hours studying means alot and I am grateful for you sharing such insights.
It's 3 years since your comment and I'm wondering if you're still into perfumery and making your own fragrances?
Man I'd love to see more of these kind of videos. I've always been interested in this part of perfumery but there aren't many, if any, youtubers atm who offer content like this
You really need to continue this series, it’s absolutely amazing
Arguably the most interesting videos on perfumery on RUclips.
Great video, look forward to seeing more of these sort of things on your channel!
Absolutely love this video. As someone who is interested in getting into this I appreciate the knowledge you're giving out here.
And I really enjoy the humor, especially at 4:30!! 👍😁
What an incredible Idea! I'd love to see more of this cloning. Keep up with this awesome content pal!
Pleaaaase do a part two, these videos are the best. Thanks for the awesome content =)
Omar this is awesome - really cool to watch and learn from your journey in this space.
This is so dope thank you for part one. Def wanna try this ou
You need to bring this one back its great. Very much enjoyed it.
How didn't I discover this joy of a channel until now? Incredible informative content, dynamic editing, tasteful aesthetics... very, very cool. Regards from Barcelona.
I love Aaron, bur only after this video I started to understand, what are all these materials he was talking about, please continue!
This is such an interesting series. You should upload more on these lines. Lovely video. Thumbs up 👍🏼
This was very original in the realm of RUclipsrs doing reviews. There is usually always that exact second when a reviewer does videos for others to doing reviews for money or gift incentives. I see it all the time and it's pretty to tell. I found a lot of good reviewers who I think are legit as doing the reviews for a passion for the art of perfumery. Jeremy is a prefect example of using subscribers for cash. He's not shy about admitting it. Anyways this channel is one I like.
Love these videos man keep them up!
Even if you didn’t reach your objective. You have made a video that I’ve been looking for so long very educational for me
This is so cool and very entertaining to watch! Hope we can watch more of these uncommon content ideas
Yess I think we need more different types of perfume videos nowadays!
I really enjoyed this
Wants part 2 ASAP
That was fun to watch, good job omar.
Enjoyed this a lot more than the standard 'top 10' videos..!
Such inspiring and fun stuff.. sad that you didn't continue bedroom perfumery series. Love all of your videos.
Lots of fun. Learned a lot. Would like to see more.
Do more of these. I would love to see you try to clone a classic fragrance.
Thanks bro, Dreamer is a classic 😎
@@SchoolofScent You should try to make an aqua di gio
Great info video and I enjoyed it and I'm a big fan of Versace the dreamer I give it a 9 out of 10 and have a blessed day
This was a very interesting video, I quite enjoyed it
I gotta say that was fun, informal and interesting. Very entertaining
Xerjoff uden overdose is the higher end version of the dreamer... I like this content, and your passion for the craft/hobby
Omar, I love you Bro. Phenomenal video. I am getting jealous when I see your lab stuff at home hahah. I created some sort of start point or prototype for a rose fragrance. I used Iso E Super ambroxan ozonic accord and light airy rose accord. It I very airy in general and lasts for 2 hours xD. I want to improve it adding some professional perfume base, sandalore or ambers. Create more vids like this. Cheers!
Nice video! would adding the alcohol help with blending in the notes more?
then it will be a nicer comparison maybe
Production value is amazing
Keep doing these fragrance creation videos! It's interesting. Maybe you creating your own signature scent.
Amazing content as always 🙌🏻 also...what watch are you wearing?
Refreshing to see someone not have to win in their video. Well done honestly
I would love to see you create your perfume!
I've tried doing the same thing with a YSL cologne where I bought 90% of the ingredients listed on the box and put them all together. I could really go for one of those decant holders because I'm always afraid I'm going to knock it over when I'm crafting the cologne.
BTW my creation was a failure so I went on to just try simple things like replicating molecule 1 and am happy with my creations now.
Very nice video! I also startet my parfum experiments 5 weeks ago ... it is highly addictive!
Finally, the long awaited Bedroom Perfumery upload
Would enjoy seeing more of this content. :)
Allure Edition Blanche would be a awesome clone!!!!
Yes please do !!
This is one of the fragrances I will try first to recreate when I start
I want to see more of these videos. Great content, cheers.
Nice in hope you stick with it for the channel. I too am going to start amateur perfume making. Once I move to my new place. I’ve watched a lot of videos , a lot in basenotes and blogs and have various supply contacts.
Also keep in mind, from what I’ve read, naturals can be more unpredictable than synthetics when mixed. Plus the concentrate will smell different than the EDP (or whatever) of the final product
Which channels do you recommend for Perfumery videos?
That was cool! I gotta try that!
I loved this video omar pls do make more if them
Cool video. Something to consider when using the pipettes is to use it at an angle and not vertical, something I saw in the masterclass of perfumersworld mentioned by the great Stephen Dowthwaite.
What’s the advantage?
@@SchoolofScent to control the drops more and not let gravity do its work (if I remember correctly)
Vids like this are very interesting so plz do more like this
Good video concept, be good to see more...
Great work 👏 👍
This is such a great video!! Would love to see emote in the series :)
I don’t know why I haven’t got your sight before glad I did find it wish this type of video was worth the effort Maybe see if you can get hits with “copycat” or “clone” it the title great video
that was really fun!
For a first try you did great it seems
Thank you!
This is insanely cool
Great video. Very unique
I would advise you to dilute the coumarin in some perfumers alcohol at 3% and use it this way, it is easier like this.
Hope theres more episodes n how to make perfue
Hey! i was wondering where you got your vile holder, can't find any like yours
Is there a simpler way to do this maybe? Or do you have a suggestion for a creating luxury scents for a reed diffuser at home? If you are not an expert like yourself I mean?
Great video... ( wow perfumery as a hobby.. 👏
Schoolofscent,
I have seen that the tobacco absolute and rose absolute is quite expensive and I don’t have the money for it.
Would you recommend any alternative to it?
Would really appreciate an answer I am just starting this hobby,
Thank you very much,
Fragrance youtuber actually doing something cool omg
Great stuff
Can you not make a fragrance wolith just base and mids?
As top notes disappear quickly anyway
Could you do a Swy intensly one? Would be very cool 🙏🏻
Love your sense of humor .. good luck next time
You dont have to follow the exact same notes to clone a fragrance ! different notes may form the same scent you are trying to mimic . Sometimes you can add more or eleminate notes as you want .
Where can I buy this kind of set. I also want to do this
Amazing video thankyou habibi
"That was made by a master perfumer"😂😭
I’ve been doing this art for so long (few months) 😔
Hi do you not dilute to any percentage your oil materials?
Could u plz compare it to the original one (if u can get ur hands on it) 🤔
Absolutely loved this! What an insightful video. We have just shared a few ebooks on perfume history and craft of perfume making for those who would be interested! 💜
It's wonderful
Bro, can you try to clone D&G By pour homme the one in the zebra bottle
Hey huge fan from America !I love cologne and love to smell good ! I’ve been subscribed for about 2-4 years. I’ve been thinking about making my own scents do you think I can order essential oils from amazon to make my scents ?
I wouldn’t recommend it, you’ll want a quality and consistent supplier that specialises in Perfumery, perfumer’s Apprentice would seem a better choice.
Tobacco. Pipe tobacco. Vanilla. Caramel. I guess we are at the mercy of who makes the oil.
Very cool!!!
I so much want to do the same, but buying aromachemicals in Italy is damn complicated.
This was great
Interesting video. What is your opinion on Fahrenheit. Does it really have many different notes,or is it just a single petrol note. I've smelled it on a test strip 2-3 times but i only get a petrol note :)
There’s no such thing as a ‘petrol note’, Perfumery generally uses scents that are based in nature, with synthetic molecules attempting to re-create scents from nature for the most part, to give a scent a ‘petrol note’ you’re going to use an accord of different notes to create that effect. However, a large part of it is going to come from the Violet Leaf.
How about you take it out on the streets and get a rating from strangers on your creation vs dreamer?
you could reuse the pippet if you use it with the same material
I think u should know this: what does 78% vol mean on a fragrance? Its not alchohol bcs it says that on my edt and they ussualy dont go over 15% perfume oils also o mostly see 78% on almost every fragrance?
Wow... That is cool! Great for a hobby...
How much would it cost roughly to get started?
Part 2 is watched by 1.2k people within almodt 2 hours..lok at this channel.growth..lets goo..vamos..love from india🇮🇳
What’s the name of the song at the beginning?
How can I do my perfumes more potent?
I think your try is very hard, because Dreamer and other such perfumes have a lot of neutral elements like dihydroMircenol, helional and other... But i think you know it))) anyway, thanks for video, it's very interesting for beginners and who love perfume theme))) sorry for bad English 😊
You need to age your perfume for a few weeks and test again. It will become much better integrated and smooth.
that cut at 3:22 is comedy gold
Great video. One question : how do you clean those glass pipettes?
You don’t. You throw them after each use. 😳
@@SchoolofScent and you cannot even reuse it for the same compound?
You throw them away if they are plastic but glass pipettes can be cleaned out.
Soak them in alcohol for a few days.
Try davidoff coolwater next time, I’m very interested in the process!
I would argue that there is not one natural material in Cool Water. So it will be very difficult to make with mostly naturals. Cool Water is mainly made up of things like
Ambroxan and Cetalox
Dihydro Myrcenol
Calone
Melonal
Pineapple Materials like
Dynascone
Allyl Amyl Glycolate
Hedione
Linalool
Musks like cashmeran and Ambrettolide
Bornyl Acetate
And maybe a hint of menthol
And various other AC's. If you're lucky, there may still be some bergamot EO or lavender in it. But to be honest, I don't think so..
Where can I buy an abundance of these different fragrances oils in the United States?
Try perfumers Apprentice
Get yourself a small funnel for guiding powders into the glass container. Much easier.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Part 2 🙏
Theres a few perfumer channels bk scents for example. Maybe you should do a collaboration?
