    "Start small if you want to create your signature scent to make sure that you really like your blend:
    Create a 20 ml perfume with this mix:
    Mix 4 ml of high quality essential oils:
    • 12 drops of topnotes (e.g. 6 drops of sweet orange & 6 drops of grapefruit)
    • 24 drops of middlenotes (e.g. 18 drops of bergamot & 6 drops of geranium)
    • 44 drops of base notes (e.g. 14 drops of YlangYlang & 30 drops of Vanilla)
    Let the blend marinade for about 1 week.
    Then:
    Dilute with 16ml (sweet) almond oils as carrier oil
    +1g of vitamin E- oil (as an antioxidant)
    Leave the mix for about a month to get the best out of your perfume. :)"
    Credit goes to Elise. ❤ Thank you for sharing!!

    Just a guy randomly being suggested this video for some reason. RUclips scoring a good suggestion again. I've been buying a lot of fragrances recently after deciding I'd like to smell better than neutral and ditching the tacky mens deodorant almost a decade ago I think it's a good call. It's nice to smell nice to yourself to others is just a benefit. Also BTW really well produced video, music is nice but subtle not loud, nice during audio and after in edit, editing, presenting, information. Comes across very professional. I honestly expected the channel to be larger in terms of viewership considering the quality of content, if that is what you're trying to do then you'll get there soon enough. Respect.

    We call these type of oil perfumes "pilgrim oil" because the pilgrims brought them to gift visiting people after visiting Meccah and Medina. I later learned they actually bought these roller perfumes after they returned 😅
    There were a lot of different smells and some of them a bit funkier or heavy. I have one orange blossom at the moment which smells divine. You apply them to inside of the wrists, rub them together and also rub to your neck area if you prefer so.
    Also as a side note, if you have herbs or flowers with strong scents, you can make infusions by putting them inside the carrier oil and after a while (about a month) you strain it for use. May help you with formulations. Although beware that some planta doesnt transfer the smell to infusion.

      @david-Davidson 3 года назад +22

      Jasmine can be bought as Jasmine Sambac Absolute, it's one of the most expensive items on the market, you could mix this with Vanilla Absolute (Madagascar) which is also an incredibly expensive extraction. I can assure you B&BW does not use those items. Jasmine: (Benzyl acetate,(Sweet, fruity, floral) Hedione (citrus, jasmine), tetrahydro linalool, (Citrus) geranyl acetate (rose), indolone (moth balls, cow manure), dihydro eugenol (clove oil), Ebanol(sandalwood)) + Vanillin (vanilla).
      This wont be a perfume however, those two notes will be flat without musks, and supporting woody notes.

    This is interesting! I think that I’ll use a minimal to moderate amount of top-note oils and larger amounts of base-notes since I would like to have more long-lasting fragrances as perfumes, bath oils, soaps, and air refreshers. Also, I’ll pretty much use more sweet-smelling scents since I lean toward those scents, but I don’t mind woody and slightly spicy ones.

    Question. Isn't perfume supposed to contain some kind of alcohol? Wouldn't it stain clothes if it doesn't contain alcohol?
    Also, thanks for explaining everything in detail 🌼

    • @babajaiy8246
      @babajaiy8246 2 года назад +10

      Yes, typical perfumes use non denatured high proof alcohol...not carrier oil. Carrier oils are good for diluting essential oils that when one wants to apply it to the skin like a lotion for therapeutic purposes - and yes, unless the body absorbs most of it and/or it is not rubbed in enough one can get their clothes stained from a carrier oil. Although in small amounts it's not likely to be a problem. Also, if one is using a larger amount (more carrier oil less essential oil) like a therapeutic massage oil, if one leaves it on for a period of time to give time for the body to absorb - One can bath/shower with warm water only after which can remove excess oil and even the towels after to be used for drying won't get stained. Yet there will still be a slight smell good of the skin after - although not nearly as much as a perfume, but no staining of clothes.

      Try using jojoba or fractionated coconut oil. Both effectively dilute the essential oils without staining clothing.

      You can rollerblading essential oil perfumes on the skin.
      Don't put them on your clothes, if you're worried about staining.

    Hello. Great content! :)
    I see you put the essential oils together for 1 week, then you add the carrier oil and vitamin E, and leave it for another month. What is the benefit of not mixing and leaving all the ingredients together at the same time?
    Also, i see you use brown/amber glass. All oil-based perfumes I've ever bought came in clear glass.
    Is the brown/Amber glass just for the marinating stage, or after that too?
