As someone who is just starting to learn the basics and key points of perfume making (for future goals of making my own perfumes), your videos have helped me so much 🥹 From the demonstrations to explanations and product recommendations, I’m glad I came across your content. 🌹
Cory, this was fun to watch. I love perfumes. It could become an addictive hobby creating different scents! There are so many fragrances out there. Hey, your always forgetting the men! They wear fragrance too. A good one I find all men love (I make it in soap) Is from Crafters Choice, It's the dupe for Old Spice....it isn't exact, but smells wonderful. I have to make a batch just for my husband and sons, it's all they will use. I also sell a ton of it at market and in the store.
Thank you Cory for another great video. I have learned so much from you and love the way you teach and explain the subjects. God bless you, your family and your business.
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany nice video. Please I've been trying to open your patreon campaign via the link on your description box...is not opening... please what other way can I access it... thank you.
Hi i really wanted to know how to make perfume in my place lm from Philippines in my town no body one make perfume so l wish i can do that. I start follow your tutorials. I hope i can afford to make it the materials.
Is this the same concept as the video made with perfumers alcohol from makesy? Calculate total grams for container then calculate percentage for fragrance oil, fixative, then base to equal the total grams? Or is it fragrance oil based on how much perfume base in grams? Also you you now find the perfumes alcohol better than perfume base that has other ingredients mixed already?
I'd like to copy a certain perfume because I couldn't find it in the shelves anymore and only online but it costs like gold! Its very expensive. I was thinking if I can just copy the same fragrance using the same ingredients? Please help. I really love this perfume that smells very tropical rain forest and it's Deseo by Jlo. Can you pls help me? Thank you so much!
Thank you for this video. Can you please share the usage rates for the aromafix, please? It doesn't say on their site nor on the bottle. I didn't see an SDS sheet either. This is my first time using it, and I want to be sure not to overuse it. Thank you in advance.
Probably not. If you are already using carrier oils they are thicker and heavier or as thick and heavy molecules as the fixatives. The fixatives come into play with alcohol based fragrances and really help with top note heavy or simple 2-3 essential oil blends. If you have a complex formula with lots of base notes thick synthetic musks etc the less impact a fixative will have.
Hi Mary, thank you! The catalina base is the body spray base which I still use and love. The base used in this formula is a perfumer's alcohol base made specifically for perfume. It can take a much bigger fragrance load than a body spray base.

I’m just wondering, is there an all natural way to make perfume oil scent last on the skin. The whole reason I’ve turned to essential oils to make my own fragrance is to steer clear of synthetics and chemicals. Sorry if it’s a silly question, I’m just trying to understand.

A perfume base can also be perfumer's alcohol, it is just the solvent used to dissolve and hold the fragrance. Each base you buy for perfume can contain different types of skin safe, denatured alcohols and other ingredients that make leave a nice skin feel.
I learned a lot. Gonna watch more ‘how to’ videos you make.

You sell these retail on your website? Do you have to have a federal permit for that? And flammable stickers for shipping? How does that all work?

I made without fixative it smells nice but it flashes off way too quick also projection is not so good is this just because of not using fixative?
Please is it the same perfume we use for Soap 😊
Thank you for the video.
But please you have to tell us your measurements.
Please where can I get the fragrance oils to buy?
Can the fixative be added with carrier oils for body oil for longer smell?
This is my question as well

How will you label these slender containers?
Where does one find a chart for usage rates for essential oils and etc?
did you use preservative, thanks
Ty for this video , I will check out these products and Patreon..I thought you always used the base from Catalina..do you not use that anymore?

Made it stranger. So if you use 20 drops or 1ml just double the drops or ml’s. Or use less carrier oil or alcohol

I thought what needed to be used was perfumers alcohol. Edit:. Never mind!
I thought that too! I don't know if there's a difference between the two
