The Syrian war was the biggest humanitarian crisis in history. My parents have worked with refugees in war torn countries with international NGOs. I volunteered in a camp with them when I was a med student. The conditions are dire. I feel for the children because they didn't choose to live this kind of life. As much as we wished to help the victims we couldn't change their situations but provided medical help and were able to find kind souls who were willing to help those who are trying to settle in their new countries. What happened to Syria is horrible. I have college friends who couldn't go back when the war broke out and their families scattered all over for fear of being killed by ISIS. The wealthy Syrians were able to flee but the poor were left to deal with the aftermath. The stories I've heard from refugees gives me no hope that the world will ever be peaceful. I feel no empathy for the ISIS wives. They left their countries willingly knowing what the movement is all about. They married into ISIS and to act like victims show that they learned nothing nor feel remorse for those who died. They should be punished with their husbands. Although, I don't advocate separating children from their parents, but this case is different. If these children were left there, I feel they will be shaped as future ISIS fighters to perhaps finish what their parents started. Their families back home should be given custody to help the kids have normal lives.

I ran off to the woods not far from where I live and got lost, I didn't have a phone and had to hop over a fence to ask a farmer for help (this is probably after 30 minutes of stumbling). p.s. I ran off to the woods not far from where I live and got lost, I didn't have a phone and had to hop over a fence to ask a farmer for help (this is probably after 30 minutes of stumbling). p.s.
