Once these people become radicalized in our communities before they went to Syria the had to blend in it teaches them to lie constantly. Don’t believe a word of it she’s a professional liar.
It is important to differentiate between self-pity and remorse. Self-pity is a feeling of sorrow or pity for oneself, often due to personal hardships or difficult circumstances. Remorse, on the other hand, is a deep regret or guilt for one's actions or behavior. In this case, the individual in question may be expressing self-pity for her current situation, but that does not necessarily imply that she feels genuine remorse for her actions. It is possible that she is more focused on her own suffering and hardship rather than reflecting on the harm she may have caused. Furthermore, the individual's background of radicalization and deception suggests that she may be skilled at manipulating others through lies and deceit. It is important to approach her statements with caution and skepticism, as there is a possibility that she is using her self-pity as a facade to mask her true intentions. Ultimately, it is crucial to critically evaluate the sincerity and motives of individuals who have a history of manipulation and radicalization, and to prioritize the safety and well-being of the community.

@@zimcanit6647 respected brother/sister, one must understand context and explanation before cherry picking verses of the Holy Quran. This chapter was revealed from God Almighty for the expedition of Tabuk due to the imminent threat of Byzantine forces who were plotting to invade Medina and kill the Muslims. It is by no means a permission for any Joe Bloggs to pick up arms against non Muslims, and many other Quranic verses and peace, loving and tolerant actions of our Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him attest to that. Islam is a merciful religion but by no means pacifistic. On a spiritual understanding our Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned the greatest jihad is the battle against ones own lower self/ego/bad desires/nafs. This spiritual understanding is to battle with ones owns bad qualities to reach a state of spiritual purification. God Almighty says in the Quran that some verses have clear literal meaning and some metaphorical, in fact all of have both aspects, so we should avoid taking things at face value. This is the main problem with groups like Isis is that they don’t understand this and bypass the tradition of illumined scholars and Saints of Islamic history, making up their understanding and rulings from whatever Satan puts in their heads. Hope this helps
Yeah at that age many of us would be told if they want to go missing the law will do nothing about it. In fact I ran away many times before I was 16 in Canada and it was when I was 16 and I ran away of my own free will that my parents no longer had to support me and the cops stopped looking for me.
She is NOT an American but a Yemeni woman born in US. When she was born, her father was a Yemeni diplomat making her ineligible for American citizenship by birth. RIP in Syria the Islamic Paradise.
The state department has adamantly denied she was born in the US. They said they kept asking for an official birth certificate and no one ever brought it mailed them one.
Therefore, she was not eligible for US citizenship through birthright and did not qualify for naturalization. As a result, she does not have any legal status as a US citizen.
These women must state clearly and denounce the cruelties and exploitation of Isis without claiming victimhood, because no one will ever trust their history.
Wrong female. Your thinking of Begum. Both wastes of space. And both unwanted in the country of birth due to terrorism. This one wants to come to US to do prison time. Delusional nut job, tax payers aren't paying for your incarceration. Stay right where your at. Your daddy is Yemen. Your home!
Her story has changed since she arrived. Originally she went to uphold ISIS and was happy. She admitted the tweets were from her. She needs to forget America and pledge to make amends to the people of Syria by facing the truth and devoting her entire life to rebuilding the country she helped destroy. She is not a victim.
The victims of ISIS faced horrific violence and oppression at the hands of the terrorist group. Many of them were forcibly displaced from their homes and communities, leaving behind everything they knew and loved. Despite their wishes to return home and be reunited with their families, their lives were tragically cut short by the senseless brutality of ISIS. These individuals deserved the opportunity to rebuild their lives and reclaim their rightful place in their communities. Their untimely deaths serve as a stark reminder of the brutal consequences of extremism and the importance of standing against such atrocities. May their memories be honored and may we continue to strive for a future free from the horrors inflicted by groups like ISIS.
She says she wants to go home to her family. It's interesting that the video fails to mention that Hoda's sister Arwa Muthana along with her husband James Bradley were arrested in 2021 trying to board a cargo ship to go fight for ISIS. They both pled guilty on September 9 2022 and are currently awaiting sentencing.
And her sister wasn't even hiding her intentions. I found this in an article about the sister: “After (Arwa) Muthana was arrested, she waived her Miranda rights and stated during an interview that she was willing to fight and kill Americans if it was for Allah".
Does it occur to her that those who were killed by ISIS also wanted to go home but they were never given the chance? She went there with the intention of giving help to ISIS and she did. Several years ago she did not say that her phone was taken away from her and those messages were not hers, now she's wiser and said those messages were not hers. I have read those messages and they are very consistent with her way of writing, anyone has doubt can search the internet and read them.
She should never be allowed back in the USA or given her citizenship back. 1. Her father was a diplomat at the time she was born in New Jersey. 2. Having been a member of ISIS makes her a viable threat. 3. She still joined them. No one forced her to do anything. 4. Her allegiance was to IsIs Not the USA. 5. She is in no way remorseful. 6. Actions have consequences. 7. She comes from a family of terrorists.

@xiex True. She wasn't kidnapped. She went and found contacts and bought tickets to go there. At any point she could've turned around, but she went for it all the way till the crash
Sure she can be forgiven, she was young back then and was compliant. Isis wasn't well known early 2014, not to the general public anyway. It sounds like most users here don't want to put themselves in her shoes, understandable emotional reaction but not that rational. I'm fascinated that people think they can do better, when history has proven again and again anyone is capable of anything, especially when you find yourself among a group that normalizes division and violence. About losing her citizenship, that's a separate issue.
@Altairific ISIS didn't hide who they were. They openly showcased they were going to eradicate and kill anyone to achieve their goal of Islamic State. She just wanted adventure and be a "rebel" and "bad girl" by joining a terrorist organziation "fighting against Imperialism'. All She got was being a "c*m bucket" for ISIS fighters who later got killed.
She was never a US citizen to begin with. Neither of her parents were American citizens, and her dad was a diplomat, abrogating US birthright citizenship.
As a woman I am saying, she joined ISIS as an adult (20 yrs) right, so now she can regret all she wants, but I won't trust her. Who will give guarantee that she is not a threat to the home country. I mean if you send your common sense and brain on vacation and be stupid enough to come across anything of ISIS and voluntarily join it, I don't have sympathy for you. I am just plain disappointed that how can you be this ignorant to be even get lured into this menace. For minors (under 18), its still understandable but as an adult nope. I don't believe her.
These kind of people cannot be trusted. She was 20 and knew what she was doing. Let her loose with a majority Muslim crowd and you will see her true colours.
Let her back in and before you know it, she'll be running for Congress or some political appointment and would probably win. Birds of a feather vote together.
She made a conscious adult decision despite many warnings. She does not convey any true remorse .Has she thought of the thousands of innocent women and children who were brutally murdered by ISIS?
She was happy when ISIS was winning, and it was only after when they were defeated that she has become humane. She looks happy where she is now, so let her meet Jack Letts so she can have her 5th husband and be happy where she is.

(If not for ISIS's defeat then she'd be most happy to still be with them??) The fact that journalists are entertaining this is very scary and dangerous! The world's lost it!
Except that other young people might be prevented from joining such groups if they see this interview with her. For that reason alone the interview has value.
People make mistakes. Like one time I drank too much at a party and threw up all over my friend's mattress. Deciding to join one of the most notorious terrorist groups on the planet with plenty of video evidence of their atrocities all over the internet, then buying plane tickets, packing your bags, getting a ride to the airport, going through checkin & security, getting on the plane and actually joining the group is not a mistake. She's either an astronomical idiot or a calculating opportunist. Either way, not to be trusted. "I'm a victim" sure, honey... good riddance
. It's important to take responsibility for our actions and learn from our mistakes, but joining a terrorist group is not something that can be easily forgiven or excused. It's a deliberate and dangerous choice that puts countless lives at risk. It's important to be cautious and skeptical of people who claim to be victims when their actions show otherwise. Ultimately, it's important to prioritize the safety and well-being of ourselves and those around us.
Join a barbaric murderous group and pretend to be innocent! America should mediatize her case, refuse entry so that she become an example for all potential Islamic traitors in the US
It is hard to hear that she was "trafficked". Hoda was 20 years old when she went. She was a grown woman who made the decision to be an isis bride. She is where she wanted to be, now she has to live with the choices that she made.
right...she also planned months in advance and told no one in her family. ISIS videos were all over the internet so she knew exactly what she was getting herself into. She can stay al hol forever.
Im a muslim and i can tell you give her life in prison without any chance of appeal. The fact that shes allowed to breathe and walk freely is a privilege the victims will never get to have again.
She's in some sort of refugee camp but has new boots, clean clothes, and make-up. She is not suffering (though her child probably is). She was not trafficked; she went of her own accord. She absolutely DID agree with Isis ideology and sympathise with its attacks . . . until they lost, of course. The psychopath is always adept at lying and never feels real remorse. This hellcat can rot in Syria.
So typical. She tears up about her citizenship and never about the crimes committed by ISIS or her dead husbands, supposedly forced marriages, dead children etc etc.. Typical selfishness like Shamima Begum’s.
I can guarantee every single Muslim who believe in Islamic ideology are confused and lost. I was one of them after learning Qur'an and Hadith for 11 years and left for good. The best decision I ever made.
I’d rather see the displaced and victimized Yazidi women and girls be given the chance of coming to the USA who would probably not spit on the opportunities of our country rather than this one be given a second chance.
i can't make sense of this grooming process these people are talking about. I was never allowed on the internet as a teen. Everyone knows that ISIS is a terrorist group isn't that enough to question going there. Unfortunately she is not only Muslim but Arab descent.
Unfortunately, you made your choice. This is a hard lesson as a young adult to learn. You cannot expect to just leave America, join forces against America, and then come back to America at the end of the day. Doesn't work that way. Make the most of where you are or leave to another country that will allow you to enter. Good luck and most importantly, find community so you don't feel so alone.
I see absolutely no acknowledgment of any responsibility on her part. She was a grown woman, born into a great nation and turned her back on all of it. She created the world she now lives in and doesn't like the consequences of those choices.
at 20 years old you know the difference between good and bad. You should ALSO know that there are consequences with your decisions so don't tell me you were a victim when you knew what you were doing!
@eternallyprofound3582 Send her back and all these other ISIS goons, the Syrian people have enough of the Syrians joining ISIS and Nusra let alone the foreigners.
What is omitted in this piece, and is crucially important, is that her parents are Yemeni citizens, and were in the United States on diplomatic passports when she was born. Under U.S. law, children born in the United States whose parents are diplomats are not eligible for U.S. citizenship. So she was not stripped of her U.S. citizenship, the reality is that under U.S. law, she was never a citizen. Any U.S. passport issued to her was done so by mistake, and the courts have upheld U.S. law on the matter. The only place she can go is to Yemen, where she does have citizenship via her parents. However Yemen has vowed to execute any of its citizens who have affiliated with ISIS. It is a tough situation to be in, but at the same time, it is hard to have much sympathy for her.
The reason why people "don't like hearing" that you claim to be "as well, a victim of ISIS" is that the difference between the true victims of ISIS and you is that you had a choice. They were victimized solely because of who they were. So stop calling yourself a victim, doing so MEANS you are NOT taking responsibility for your actions.
Furthermore, claiming to be a victim of ISIS when you had a choice in the matter undermines the experiences of those who truly suffered at the hands of this terrorist organization. It is disrespectful to those who lost their lives or loved ones to ISIS attacks. It is important to acknowledge your role in your experience and take responsibility for your actions rather than trying to align yourself with those who were truly victimized by ISIS.
They all want to come home now that ISIS is defeated. Britain had a Pakistani woman called Shamima Begum who wanted to “come home” but the government revoked her British citizenship and she’s not allowed back in the country. Her father has returned to Pakistani but his government don’t want her either.
I honestly don't think she really understand the gravity of her decision. As a mother myself, my heart breaks for her mom, we cannot control the actions of our grown children. I do believe in second chances and forgiveness but how can you explain joining a terrorist organization that kills so many innocent people with such cruelty for no reason?! How can you relate to that and want to be part of it?! Go build your life somewhere else, the US is not the only country in the world. Now you have to live with the consequences of your actions!
She is dealing with the consequences of her decision. I want to defend her but honestly defending her is really hard since ISIS was known to be a terrorist group far before the Syrian civil war itself.

Those who were killed by ISIS also did want to go back to their homes with their families but that option never given to them
The victims of ISIS faced horrific violence and oppression at the hands of the terrorist group.
Family reunion???
If her family wants to reunite with her, they need to reunite in Syria or Yemen.
She should never be allowed back in the USA or given her citizenship back.
1. Her father was a diplomat at the time she was born in New Jersey.
2. Having been a member of ISIS makes her a viable

There are some things which really can't be forgiven, joining the most brutal, worst and most vile terrorist group on the planet is one of them tbh.
Perfectly said!
Joining ISIS can't be a mistake. She had to agree with their beliefs. End of.
She is not stuck. She is the one who chose to go there. What if she is a treat to others.

(If not for ISIS's defeat then she'd be most happy to still be with them??) The fact that journalists are entertaining this is very scary and dangerous! The world's lost it!
Except that other young people might be prevented from joining such groups if they see this interview with her.
For that reason alone the interview has value.
So she claims oppression at home and immediately joins an even more oppressive group so she can oppress other people. Right!!!

Genuine question, how was ISIS against America if they didn't kill Americans and killed Muslims in Syria and Iraq?
Most of our current federal government under Biden fits that description.
Why is the media giving her air time. Stop giving her a platform. No one is interested in her 'rehabilitation'. This matter has been dealt with.
I see absolutely no acknowledgment of any responsibility on her part. She was a grown woman, born into a great nation and turned her back on all of it. She created the world she now lives in and doesn't like the consequences of those choices.

Yes she cannot be taken back after she decided to go there. Its a one way journey
If you try to undermine the safety of a country ,you should be ready to face the eventual consequences.
They all want to come home now that ISIS is defeated. Britain had a Pakistani woman called Shamima Begum who wanted to “come home” but the government revoked her British citizenship and she’s not allowed back in the country.
