I was watching some documentary around the foster system in UK. I was surprised that muslim families are given responsibility of non muslim kids who vulnerable and can be easily radicalised. Always remember that you are nothing to them if you are not a muslim.

I really think that they need to treat these women as victims of a cult. The way they were groomed online, most of the women had risk factors even if they grew up in the West. The whole experience really reminds me of so many cult stories that I have heard. I am not saying that those involved of criminal activity should not be prosecuted or repay society in some way, but I think that given the youth of so many of them and their stories, they are as much victims of ISIS as anyone. Think of how many times many of them were forced to marry again and again. They were baby machines. Alot of people calling it out saying how is it grooming. Tareena has shown bravery and initative in escaping the Isis net with her British passport and penetrating the UK border at Heathrow. The difference between Tareena and Shamima is that Tareena had a British passport but Shamima had lost her sister's passport and felt that she could not crash the barrier/border at Heathrow! Shamima never attempted to return physically to Britain but had she attempted to return and physically succeeded the Courts would have looked at her case in a different light! Tareena went to Court and got a 6 year sentence of which she served 3 years! But Tareena didn't get a life sentence in the form of a banishment order, from the British Courts like Shamima,for life, which is hopelessly unfair and unjust!
I'm surprised they sent her to prison. She was only there for 8 weeks. She clearly realized almost immediately that she had made a mistake. So many of these girls were promised a wonderful husband who would take care of them and envisioned themselves in this happy family. Tareena has shown bravery and initative in escaping the Isis net with her British passport and penetrating the UK border at Heathrow. The difference between Tareena and Shamima is that Tareena had a British passport but Shamima had lost her sister's passport and felt that she could not crash the barrier/border at Heathrow! Shamima never attempted to return physically to Britain but had she attempted to return and physically succeeded the Courts would have looked at her case in a different light! Tareena went to Court and got a 6 year sentence of which she served 3 years! But Tareena didn't get a life sentence in the form of a banishment order, from the British Courts like Shamima,for life, which is hopelessly unfair and unjust!

I'm surprised they sent her to prison. She was only there for 8 weeks. She clearly realized almost immediately that she had made a mistake. So many of these girls were promised a wonderful husband who would take care of them and envisioned themselves in this happy family. They didn't leave because they wanted to join a terrorist group they joined because of the promise of a happy life.

The reason they all went to Syria via Turkey because Syria has the longest border with Turkey and Turkey kept the border open for Syrian refugees to enter Turkey. Travelling to Turkey also provide an excuse for westerners as a holiday destination. Other bordering nations like Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon are either too dangerous and difficult to enter or the border was totally closed off. More so the Syrian border with Lebanon and Jordan largely controlled by Assad forces on the Syrian sides. The Turkish border on the other hand were mostly controlled by Syrian opposition groups or Kurdish militia.
