This channel is actually how I learned about finding Korean skin care on Olive Young. I have eczema, yet I’ve found affordable, effective products that don’t flare up my face! Nice to see some recommendations as summer approaches
Hello! I was wondering if you'd be willing to share the products that helped you. My mom has eczema and although she has her prescription treatments I wanted to gift her some products for mothers day that aren't so medical
I use the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner, COSRX The 6 Peptide Skin Booster serum, goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum Care Serum, PHYSIOGEL DMT Facial Lotion, and Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun sunscreen. The only one with any fragance is the vitamin c serum, and it is very faint and fades in a few minutes.
I have been using Korean skincare for 5 years now (thanks to your recommendations!!) and I’m extremely pleased, my skin has never been better and I’m aging beautifully!!
I fell in love with Korean skin care when I lived there. I couldn't believe the quality for the price...the amazing ingredients in sweet packaging. I love it all!❤
Your videos genuinely save my skin. I was always so dry and my skin was constantly irritated. Went the korean route about 3 years ago and i glow...so thank u for yiur videos and education.
Something that happens here in Canada is that if someone in your workplace has a sensitivity/disorder so that fragrances & essential oils give them migraines, the workplace will ban everyone from using products that use them. So its great for us that more and more places are making fragrance free options
I love Belif. Their True Cream-Moisturizing Bomb is the only thing that helps with my super dry skin. I've been using it for years. I recently tried another moisturizer, and it did help with my dry skin, but it broke me out so badly! I thankfully don't really get breakouts, so it was the new moisturizer. I went back to my Belif, and haven't looked back since. So I'm glad to see you like their new PHA exfoliator. I saw it recently and was wondering if it was good. I'm in the market for a good, but gentle exfoliator. And that sounds to be a good choice! Thanks for the great reviews!
Love me some Korean skincare! I used to be all about Purito (rosacea here too!) but I’ve gone off them. A while back their unscented serum smelled like fish and many people had the same. Never responded to dm’s, emails and then deleted all of our comments on Instagram. Just own up to the mistake instead of covering up! One serum I’ve been loving is the new cosrx peptide booster- so good!!
I started using Korean and Japanese skincare maybe 8 years ago because Western stuff so commonly caused allergic reactions. It's been SUCH a better experience. Thanks for recommendations on some products I haven't tried yet!
Did they cause allergic reactions or irritation? There's a difference and I'd guess it's the latter, the soothing ingredients like Centella in Eastern skincare is probably why you would've gotten on well with it a lot more. If it was allergic reactions then it could be because western formulations tend to be more expansive and highly concentrated therefore the risk of an allergic reaction increases and the severity also increases. I like both western and eastern skincare, I think we should take a page out of Korea's and Japan's books and incorporate more of their style into our products to bridge the two gaps and create potent yet soothing formulations.
@@Betweoxwitegan I have an autoimmune disorder and have a lot of legitimate (although generally mild) allergies. I'm allergic to a lot of the "natural and good for you" skincare ingredients (like beeswax, shea butter, and tea tree oil) that are very common in Western skincare. At this point it's just far safer for me to stick with Korean and Japanese products on my face; I generally tolerate gentle and/or hypoallergenic American and French products on the rest of my body all right.
@@PurelyCoincidental Fair enough, a lot of people don't tolerate tea tree oil or Shea butter they're probably the most common allergenic ingredients but I thought beeswax was meant to be for very sensitive skin, suppose what works for some doesn't for everyone.
I started using Korean skincare products about a month ago and my skin has never been this happy, hydrated, and dewy! My acne has almost completely cleared away after years of using the wrong products that weren't helping.

My aunt has sensitive and dry skin, so I've been buying her snail mucin products. The brand Peach Slices and Mizon have amazing snail mucin toners and moisturizers. Her skin looks amazing without the products causing any allergies.
I follow a nice group of beauty and skincare influencers here on YT but you are one of the only ones who highlight K-beauty products. Especially, the new and less mainstream brands. I depend on you! It’s really interesting to see what’s out there. Thanks for the video ❤

Yay!! You've answered my question on if TirTir is good. I got their compact and I love it! Made me want to try everything of their skin care products but was nervous. Thank you! 😊 ❤

You know, you have so much experience with a wide range of products, I would really love to see a series of videos like "routine for dry skin at low vs high price point" For me it's hard to find products from different brands that layer well, but you've tried so many things. And then it's hard to know which things to buy and how to keep it all affordable. If you could do a video like this one, but curate a specific 7 product routine with the most affordable options, I'd eat that shit up
Because of Korean products, I'm able to afford great skincare at affordable prices, and they are as good as those expensive Western products. My skin has never been so plump, moist yet clean, and people been saying how clean my face looks.
