Great reaction! Love this one by VoicePlay; it's a great arrangement. Layne was amazing; Eli, J.None and Omar's harmonies were on point; Geoff was being Geoff, as per usual.
Voiceplay‘s just awesome and so amazingly harmonised 👏😎 Btw you have to react to their Ariel-Medley! Geoff‘s just awesome in this one. I never thought I would fangirl over a male Ursula 😂🤣 I think I know them from the inside out now and you get always to be positively surprised! It’s so sad that Earl left, but I’m happy that they’re doing great 😌
Man, helluva rhythm section there! Geoff is a great bassist and Layne is a great drummer, especially since it's all their voices! But they know their roles very well! Hella tight!
@@camctrail You ever drive on the highway and everything is shaking to a beat you don't recognize? Your car, your body and everyone else's is feeling the same. All of a sudden a rusty 92 civic rolls by with the windows rolled up and yet they are violently shaking? That but coming out of a person.
you should give a listen to their cover of the Unchained Melody ft. John Pinto Jr. and their most recent cover, which is of "Bang!" ft. Deejay Young :)
Great observations Ken, as always. I grew up in the heyday of groups like Kansas, Chicago (my all-time favorite band), Earth, Wind & Fire, Styx, and so on, and this is my favorite Kansas song. Voiceplay, to no one's surprise, nailed it.
There's a guy called Xureck (that's also his RUclips channel name) who's a professional beatboxer, and he's reacted to many of Pentatonix's videos. He usually breaks down what Kevin's doing, and recreates it himself in real-time, so you can see how it's done. I used to struggle to believe what the likes of Kevin, Adam from Home Free and Lane from Voiceplay could do just with their mouths, but Xureck shows that it IS possible - although it takes immense skill and a hell of a lot of stamina!
As I fan of Kansas who is also a native Kansan. I appreciate your reaction to Coldplay's cover. Well Done! It takes my back to my days in High School and my 1970 Camaro. My favorite Kansas song is Dust in the Wind. I would appreciate your reaction to that song if it ever present itself. Take care. Stay safe.
Knowing you like Geoff, He has done another how to Sing low on his channel, but definitely check their Little Mermaid. Again, all you need to know is Geoff and Layne.
Nice reaction. Love it! Ken if you want to be blown away by a bass singer performance (I know, who can compete with Geoff and Tim right?) you should do a reaction to Tomi P.'s cover of Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Talk about shock and awe. It is amazing.
Honestly, his No Time to Die cover to me was more harmonically enjoyable than Hellfire. The background harmonies overlapped the lyrics a bit too much for my liking
Earl has left the group since then & I for one am glad . He always stuck out in every song they did . He always made sure his voice would be heard over all the others & he would drown the others out. No one person should do that. They have added Cesar to the group & he is awesome. Eli has basically taken over as the high tenor & blends his voice in much better than Earl did. Please check out some of their latest work. 1. The Dragonborn Comes/ Skyrim. 2. Halo, the theme song from the Halo video video game . 3. Dream On cover by Aerosmith 4 Enemy cover song from Imagine Dragons Please fit these song in by Voice Play. You haven't done any Voice Play in a long time & you are missing out on so many great songs from them.
Be on the look out for Voiceplay's cover of Eleanor Rigby!! Arrangement by Eli(guy with the glasses) it's their best one yet IMO 🤓 hopefully it'll be publicly released this Friday but don't quote me on that 😆
Oh man I feel that choir blending comment deep down lol. It has taken me a long time to discover a unique ness to my voice after years of being trained to blend in a choir setting.
It’s time for Spiritbox Rule of Nines (Studio one take). I’ve been following your channel since the beginning so I’m calling in a favor on this one. Either that or Jinjer Teacher Teacher (album version).
You need to check out and do a reaction to Just Sing by Voiceplay! You get Geoff and Tim Foust in one video playing off each other and alot of their previous members/collaborators AND all profits are being donated to musicians negatively impacted by covid!
Love this song... took me way more years than it should have to realise that SPN used this song because the boys were from Kansas. Lol Also wondering if you have ever reacted to Lordi before?
Dear Ken, please do a song by one of the greatest Swedish prog metal bands: Pain of Salvation. Daniel Gildenlow, de main composer is a genius when it comes to lyrics a composing innovative music. And he has a great band to back him up. Do "A Trace of Blood" I promise you will not regret it. Theres a lyric video made by a fan out there that is great. P.D. bring tissues for the reaction.
I love you Ken. I have been listening to you sing & I love your voice. Always so smooth. I love Voice Play. Geoff is my favorite. I love these guys better without Earl the high tenor. He is so loud that he drowns everyone else out. I think he makes it a point to be the loudest so he stands out more. That's not how it's supposed to be. I am so glad Geoff does a lot of solo work now.
You mentioned you like the sea shanties - have you seen VoicePlay's answer to the shanty?? Home Free gave us Pirates. VoicePlay said "we see your pirates and raise you Vikings!" Check out "My Mother Told Me" - it's wonderful ❤
Great reaction. Anyway, can i request your reaction to superb band from japan? The band is call "Lovebites" They all The Queens metal band right now in the earth. They are really really World class musicians. Phenomenal. And they have a lot fans too. The song is "Glory to the world" Hope you check out, and can enjoy it too. Big thanks🙏
I subscribed And I'm a beatboxer! If you want to have a chat with me where maybe I can shed some light on some of your questions or just take you down a sweet little rabbit-hole that is the modern Beatbox community - let me know
I really like your Channel Sir. I'd like to make a suggestion. A young French artist called Abi made an amazing cover of Lovely by Billie Eilish. You may want to to hear it.
Please consider reacting to Spit it Out Slipknot - Live at Download 2009 : ruclips.net/video/vtJN4XkaG2I/видео.html It's more about the feeling it gives you bot visually and auditory than about singing thechiques.
Just missing my Impala.

D'you think Baby would approve of this version?
And a "Road so far......" graphic
@@nightthornkvala94132 oh hell yeah
I got total body goosebumps when Mr. Bass hit that low note.
OH MY GRAVY GOODNESS!
Sam and Dean Winchester approved
😂 thank you for beating me to that reference, I'm convinced it's the best show
I love Geoff and VoicePlay, this is one of my favorites from them.

Ikr, I see Geoff do male Ursula and suddenly I want a version of the movie with him AS Ursula lol
Fun fact: The guest artist's brother EJ Cardona is a long-time member of another acappella group, Voctave.
Love Voctave! ❤
Now that you've said that, my brain's like, "of course!"
And he's doing a collab with VP in their next song!
You should do Little Mermaid Medley by VoicePlay. Warning: Geoff and Layne, that's all you need to know
Man, helluva rhythm section there! Geoff is a great bassist and Layne is a great drummer, especially since it's all their voices! But they know their roles very well! Hella tight!
Great reaction as always Ken. Coincidentally, I just discovered the Voiceplay video this morning, and here you are reviewing it.
Imagine having a hidden subwoofer and a hidden mic and start conversations in the 1st octave.
I mean, he does tell stories in the 1st octave on his YT

While speaking latin or gaelic to terrify everyone
These guys have worked hard -- very hard. They've come a long way in the last couple/3 yrs. They've truly come into their own. Good Stuff!!!
My favourite acappella group
I seen voiceplay live years ago. Probably in 2016, i went straight home and subscribed to them on every single social media page they have.
That is an amazing bass voice.

Beautiful rendition of the song, didn't miss instruments at all, they're amazing.
One of my favourites by Voiceplay!
But that doesn’t mean that’s all they have to offer 👀

You've got to review Voiceplay's new cover, Mother Told Me. They just keep blowing my mind.
Came here to suggest the same 😉
So please Ken, keep it in mind. It's amazing
So glad you reacted to this! Can you react to Tomi P's cover of Hellfire (from the Hunchback of Notre dam), his range is crazy.
That'd be awesome if he could react to that.
I love this cover. The Neoni cover that was in the finale makes me cry but this is a great, non-crying cover.
Great video as always!
I feel so seen lol, thanks for taking the suggestion, I love your videos
Great vid! Please do VP's little mermaid medley. Not only is the vocal arrangement fantastic, there are loads of fun visual Easter eggs to spot.

Yes! Tomi covers 6 octaves in that video and it's awesome.

Rockapella was my first Acapella Love. Butan i love Voice play.

Ohhh what a treat! Rammstein AND Voiceplay tonight!!
