Come on Guys, spread the word about this GREAT LADY,working so hard to help us all make lovely tasty food in our Air Fryers 🥰🗣🗣
Aww thank you Trish☺️🥰
I agree, Kerry is an inspiration for all of us.
What a great comparison video of the oven and air fryer cooked bread. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to make the video and also a BIG thumbs 👍 up.
Thank you Kym👋😀💕that's really lovely of you to say so
Fantastic Kerry, so pleased for you. One way to tell if it's cooked, tap the bottom and if it sounds hollow it's cooked. Thanks for sharing.
Ah great tip thank you Sheila👌💕💕
White Sandwich Loaf x 2
430g Strong Bread Flour
1 Packet Dried Yeast (7g)
1 tsp/6g Himalayan Salt
1 tsp/6g Granulated Sugar
20ml Olive Oil
275g Warm Water (40c)
Method:
Measure out ingredients. Pop the yeast, sugar and oil into a jug of warm water, stir and leave until you see bubbles. Meanwhile pop the flour into a bowl and thoroughly mix in the salt, make a well. Once yeast/water is ready, pour into the well. Mix with handle of a wooden spoon until loosely combined. Pop onto work surface. Knead for 10 mins, add more flour if sticky. Put into oiled bowl and leave to rise for 30 min to an hour or until doubled in size. Once its risen, pop back onto work surface and pummel air out of dough. Shape into a large sausage
cut in half, reform into sausage shape and pop into greased 1lb containers. Pop into Drawers, press Match, press Airfry 170c/338f for 20mins. If bottom not quite done, pop back into drawers upside down for 3/5 mins. Leave to cool before
slicing. Enjoy!
Thanks kerry will try this recipe they looked fab x
@@joanedwards1120 that's fab Joan💕💕
Thank you for sharing, what about the difference in power draw, is it much cheaper to use the air fryer for the task?
@@coreycoffell6219Bit scientific for most of us to work out but I'm pretty sure there are comparisons already out there.
Wonderful video I just wanted to say. The difference in the sizes of loaves could be different weights in the dough when you separated into 2. Weighing the dough and splitting according to weight would be a more accurate outcome. :)
JUST WATCHED THIS AND IT WAS VERY INTERESTING, ITS GOOD TO KNOW THAT THE RESULTS WERE THE SAME, AND I WAS SURPRISED THAT IT WAS COOKED ON AIR FRY AND NOT THE BAKED SETTING BUT THE RESULTS WERE FANTASTIC THANKYOU FOR THE DEMO
Loved this video. I’ve never been quite brave enough to make bread. I love Mr Kirkwood. He’s a real master.
Thank you ASJ💕💕 his vlogs are great, lovely voice he has
Great ASJ, Always love his Channel too. I am from the Northeast,so always feels like, l am back home. No nonsense approach, just like kerry🥰👏
Hi Kerry, so glad I found your channel, I’ve been contemplating about the Ninja, now after watching & salivating over those lovely loaves, I’m sold. Thanks for doing all the hard work for us, look forward to watching more.
Followed your instructions to make our first two loaf's of bread , came out perfect , you couldn't have made it more clearly to a novice like me , many thanks 👍
Oh that's fab, I'm stoked it came out well, thank you for sharing that😃👍💕
Can I use ordinary cooking salt
The best bread channel which I have been following for 3 years is “bake with jack” I use John for his beautiful pork and scotch pies.. a simple ciabatta recipe for air fryer is from “simple recipes kitchen “ made about 30 loaves to this recipe and never failed. Jack recommends 8 minutes kneading. Happy bread making 😊
Thank you Pru for those suggestions, I will definitely check them out😃👍💕
I second your comment. Jack saved my sanity during the so called covid crisis! He is an inspirational teacher and I haven't bought a loaf since. 8 min knead no extra flour.
I love the gadget you used to get the bread out of the airfryer lol
Really interesting video. The bread looked delicious. I've used a bread maker for years but I've been tempted to try the Ninja. Will give it a go x
Thank you Jane!😃👍💕
Thank you. At last a UK recipe. I will be giving this a go in my ninja speedi.
No problem 😃👍👍
I knew you would do it well done you I like the way John makes things simple and easy to follow. I always use his spiced fruit loaf when family come over but I have only made it in the oven this has got me thinking could it be done in the airfryer. Thanks for sharing take care.
Thank you Susan, ooo I need to add that fruit loaf to my to do list - its growing! His is a very nice channel💕you too!!
If your oven light is working, you can put the bread dough into the oven to rise and cover it with oiled clingfilm. The light gives the perfect temperature, no heat needed....And there are some good no knead recipes online. I put the ingredients into my mixer using a dough hook. I've just bought a Ninja air fryer and baked today, but used my regular oven because I particularly wanted rolls. When I bake loaves, I think if I take the drainer trays out and shape the bread and and lay it in the drawer it should work...A little bit of oil will stop it sticking.
My oven light doesn't work sadly and actually the seal is going too, it falls off. I'm really glad I dont use it now albeit for this little experiment. Definitely going to try some no knead recipes, that sounds like my kind of dough lol, I'm not the most patient when it comes to kneading 😄
I proof mine on reheat which is 49 c for an hour and works.
@@dawn9780 reheat!! That's a good idea thank you Diane👍👍
I was thinking of doing the same only line the drawer with parchment paper. Hope it works.
I made two loafs in the Ninja, but instead of using a tin to bake them in, I used two of the silicone trays that fit to the tray and it came out perfectly. Really like your channel and your methods!
That's a fab idea Mick thank you!😀👍👍
Well done Kerry for not giving up! They turned out really lovely. I purchased a Ninja food processor today (Xmas present money from my son and I've only just got round to buying it). Look forward to seeing what you cook next time.
Oh that's lovely Kathryn, I love a delayed xmas present😄 you'll have fun with your new ninja food processor 👍💕thank you as well!
My name is Kathryn Gannon what's yours?
That was a brilliant vlog Kerry. I am impressed with your determination to get it right. I made a brown loaf and a white one but I did use the dehydrate to prove the dough. The brown one was a bit hard but the white one was spot on. Didn't want to prove it in the kitchen as my heating is not on much because of the energy crisis so thought the dehydrate would be better than waiting for a few hours lol.
Thank you Beth💕💕I had a bee in my bonnet lol. Oh I'm amazed dehydrate worked for you (glad too!) I had read someone had done it successfully so maybe mine didn't for yeast reasons more than anything. 100% re heating, we are really lucky to have a wood burning stove (rare in rentals) so I proved the bread nearby👍
Australia here - Wow! That’s amazing. Thanks so much for sharing this, I love to see the air fryer recipes and baking bread in it??? Thank you, I have learned something new. You now have another subscriber❤️
Hello darling lady..you are a breath of fresh air..it's like having a chat with a lovely friend watching your vlogs..and how kind to cook Sunday dinner for your neighbour..💐💐x
Oh thank you Jan💕💕my granny in glasgow was well looked after by a lovely neighbour, so I'm paying back the universe🥰💕💕

As a new owner of a Ninja Airfryer identical to yours, I found this video and your recipe extremely helpful. I made our first loaf today and it was so yummy!! Thank you!
Oh that's amazing and thank you 💕💕
I'll try when I get home (away at the moment). It looks awesome 👌
I agree, there should be more people like this lady in the world who cares about other people my son committed suicide. He asked his neighbour for help when he was very low and they ignored him. My son was only 30 years old. Please keep up the good work and just give us a smile to someone, you never know what they are going through just a smile could help Christie Jones in the United Kingdom
Oh Christie I'm so so sorry for your loss💕💕💕
Hello christie we also lost a family member to suicide it’s absolutely devastating so sad that your son asked for help and was ignored that should never happen my heart aches along with yours
That bread looks brilliant kerry well done 🌟
Thank you Joan💕💕
I have very bad arthritis and can no longer knead....I bought a second hand mixer, put 450t strong bread flour....put pack of dry yeast one side, put teaspoon of salt and same as sugar on the other side...mix 1 minute...add roughly 240 mls now hand warm water, with 2 tbls of olive oil mix on 1 setting for 6 minutes, roll into ball cover with cling film 1 hour.. Remove from bowl lunch out and roll into ball and put on a tray ..after 30 mins remove cling film....pre heat oven at 200 deg..cook for 30 mins....perfect bread every time. Thank you so much for all your wonderful videos, going to try in the air fryer. P.s never cut while very warm as it makes it go doughy....
I bake a lot of bread, try pouring some hot water from kettle into the tray below the crisper, this will create a larger fluffier loaf, also glaze with egg or butter for really deep colour.
from Australia Kerry, I'm a new subscribed fan for a couple of weeks now, I bought a Duel Ninja Air Fryer for the caravan & searching for recipe ideas & I'm enjoying what I see here, so happy to see I will be able to make bread, we will be travelling starting next week for as long as possible, oh & that Lemon Drizzle Cake is on the list as well, so I wish to thank you for your precise time & effort providing us with simple budge recipes. Oh & I call my lift gadget " The Crane Claw" lol I have 2 & for many many years & wouldn't be without it. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!
Hi Lorraine👋😀💕thanks so much for subbing, watching and commenting - that helps my little channel a lot! Hope you have great travels, love the crane claw name lol - they're such handy gadgets aren't they
Thanks so much for the awesome test video. I am going to give it a go in my Sunbeam Multi Zone Air Fryer Oven. ❤️

Hi pleased to find this video just bought a Af400 I no know how to make bread in my Ninja thanks to you loved your vidio Thanks x
That's lovely, thanks so much for watching 😃💕💕
They both look lovely I must try doing bread in the air fryer although iv got a bread maker I hardly ever use
Thank you Chris💕💕
Omg that looks delish I’ve got the new ninja flexi basket and it’s got a prove button on it gonna make my own bread
Thank you for this! I've been following John Kirkwood for a while and he does brilliant bread videos but while my oven has been on the blink I haven't been able to make bread - your video has given me the confidence to have a go in my Ninja :D
I am so glad I found your channel! I have just baked a loaf in my Salter dual drawer AF - it looks great, but too hot to sample. I used my regular multi-grain flour, but followed your method. The only difference was that I had to use parchment paper, so the resulting loaf is uneven in shape, but perfectly ok.
Thank you again! Keep on AF cooking! 🌷
That's so lovely thank you 😀💕💕
Just made some bread using your timings and it came out perfect. I cooked mine for the full 30 mins, flipping for the last 5 mins.
I did one in a tin and the other free form.
Thanks for sharing.
That's fab😀👍💕thank you
Thanks for the recipe can’t wait to try it 😊
My pleasure 😊💕
Lidl sell yeast it used to be 10* 7g for 52p now it's 56p for 6 packets of 7g and their strong bread flour is £1.19 for 1.5Kg. going baking my own bread as soon as I've used the two loaves I have in the freezer but I will be making bread rolls rather than a loaf. I will use the air fryer to prove and cook the rolls even if I have to do it in two or three batches.
I really love your vlogs and I've told everyone to subscribe to you. Endless great ideas for our air fryers. Now talking to John Kirkwood another huge favourite of mine. Doesn't get any better.
Aw thank you Trixie😀💕I'm trying a few john Kirkwood recipes this week, fab channel
Hi Kerry, they both looked lovely, i think the air fryer one was slightly larger than the oven one. So not only are you saving electric on the time you are also saving it on the wattage between the oven and air fryer
Kia ora - thanks so much for showing us all the difference between the two and .. you have a nice voice and honestly, I love that you take a decent bite of each!! arohanui from NZ xxx
Hi from Nova Scotia. 😊This was a brilliant demonstration! The savings from the electricity alone would quickly pay for the air fryer. Thank you very much! 👌
Oh thank you, hello to you in nova scotia👋😃 I've a fair few relatives who emigrated from Scotland to your part of the world, specifically in the 20th century when many flocked over 🏴🇨🇦💕
Hi ... I subscribed to your, (brilliant !), channel today, (18th Aug '23), and while browsing, I saw your 'Oven v Air Fryer' bread recipe.
Tried the Air fryer part and made 2 × small loaves, and they're stunning ! Crispy crust, Soft texture inside, tastes absolutely moreish with just butter alone ! This was my very first attempt at using the 'AF' for baking bread ... I'm sold !
I also followed your instructions about cutting the cooking time down to 20 minutes, worked a treat ... spot on !
Cheers and Thank you ...
Oh thanks a mil, that's so nice of you to say so. So happy your bread turned out well😃👍💕
That's a real woman. Good old bread making with no nonsense. Can't wait to try this one. I have twin draw Fryer. Looks amazing.

hello, are you from the east end, your voice rings a bell with me, i can be wrong, i lived in crispin street, spitalfields, back in 1956, when my mum cooked bread, she wrapped it up in a tea cloth, to stop the crust getting too hard

I'm so pleased I found you, this is just what I was needing to help me 😀
Aww that's lovely Liz, thank you for watching!😀💕
Kerry, fantastic. I'll definitely be trying my bread in the Airfryer. To stop the dough from sticking whilst kneading, you could try putting a bit of oil on your hands. Yes John Kirkwood's channel is really good.
Ah good tip re oil and kneading, thanks Rosemary👌💕his channel was great, not using an Airfryer but it's not hard to tweak times & temps👍👍
Thanks for a well presented video I think I'll try it now
Thank you 😀💕
Love your videos, keep them coming 😊 have you ever thought about doing a live Q & A session?
Very interesting and well done . Thank you for the information and demonstration.
Mmm Lovley Kerry Thank you for your time x
Thank you Janet 💕
I currently dont have access to an oven so have been baking bread in an airfryer. Its a 5.5L job I bought in Thailand. I make a loaf using 250gm flour, 80gm milk, 80gm water, 5gm yeast, 1tbl oil, a bit of salt and sugar. I cook for 290minutes at 180°F. After about 5 mins, I tent with foil otherwise the top gets too dark. Sometimes at the end I flip the loaf and toast the underside. Makes a ice soft loaf.
John Kirkwoods channel is excellent. As is Richard Bertinet's who demonstrates and explains bread making brilliantly give it a warch
Hi Kerry ! Well done ! You are a brilliant and brave lady.
Bread looks so delicious, crusty. Love your videos.
Thank you so much for your demo !
Aw thank you!!💕💕
Just made this bread; it's fab!! Thanks for sharing 😀
Amazing , both bread looks great. Thank you for sharing
Bake with Jack channel recommends using the same brand of flour every time for consistent results. The properties of flour can vary from brand to brand, type to type. Jack taught me during the pandemic, I had never made my own before but wanted to learn. Great teacher with great tips. He’s also very cute! He emphasises NO FLOUR on the bench for kneading, ZERO flour. Wait three minutes for the dough to absorb the liquid and then start kneading. Extra flour can make for tough bread. The amount of time your dough takes to rise, depends on the temperature of your house, cooler temps require more time, but in warmer months, it can double quite quickly. Dough scraper with one curved side and one flat side so you can scrape your bowl as well as your bench. Never cut the bread until it’s completely cooled down, because cutting it warm lets the steam/moisture escape and we want to keep that moisture for as long as possible. 😜👍🍞
Great video Kerry many thanks for taking the trouble to make 🤝
Aw thank you Kenneth😀👍👍
Thanks Kerry, bread looks great. I saw Johns video so I’m going to give it a go. I joined the group you put the link to, it’s great sharing with others.
Oh that's lovely Debs🥰
I loved watching you make the bread.

Good yeast and good bread flour is the key for sure!
Thanks for this video. You've answered a lot of questions I had.
Amazing Kerry. Thank you for this vlog. I absolutely love home made bread. So going to try this ❤️👌🏻
Hi Kerry, Just stumbled across your channel. That bread looked amazing! Don't mind a bit of butter either. I will check out some of your other videos, now I have found you. Take care. x
👋😀hi Toni, thank you v much for watching💕💕
Watching from Massachusetts in the US, great video. Thanks! The only tip I have is put the flour on your board/counter, not on the bread, and knead the bread into it. You'll find it works easier. Going to have to try this. It's been so hot here that I don't want to light the oven. Thanks again!
Ovens in a heatwave I completely understand, when we had weeks of heatwave in june it was hard to cook full stop, even with airfryers. Hope you are keeping cool and thank you for the tip!!💕💕💕
Wow they turned out well, they both looked good thanks for sharing xx
Thank you Jaqueline 😃💕
Another Baker you could have a look at is "Bake with Jack". Start looking at his videos about 4 years ago just after he was on The Great British Bake Off. That's when he started Sourdough Bread.
You can tell when the loaf is cooked by taking it out of the tin by turning it upside down and tapping it on the bottom. It's cooked if it sounds hollow.
Newby to your channel Kerry love how refreshingly down to earth you are, so thank you for your videos they have inspired me to make more in my air fryer, and I look forward to many more. also good luck with your allotment can't wait to see what you do with it.😊
Thank you very much Ingrid☺️💕should have an allotment update coming soon🌱💕
Great job
Look nice
I love my air fryer, but let's face it, there really shouldn't be much difference in the end product since an air 'fryer' is basically just a miniature fan oven - it doesn't actually fry anything since by definition, frying involves cooking IN oil. By the way, both of those loaves look great - subscribed!
I'll have the crusty end bit please.
Both look great but can i ask why you air fry in the air fryer instead of using bake function ? as you would in the oven
My 1st time over here & I decided to watch, as I was curious on how the results would come out!
When you said that you were a bit rusty with using the oven, that totally resonated with me lol! 😅 Regardless of what season I'm in, I'm NOT a fan of all the heat that comes about with using my oven! My air fryer, which looks like an oversized toaster oven, does the same job, much quicker & puts out less heat!
I had a feeling the air fryer would've been much quicker as well, & is perfect for making smaller batches! Great experiment! 🥰
Aww thank you🥰 that's a lovely comment thank you
@@budgetcookinguk You're welcome!
You taught me how to bake bread :). Great job and a lot better than going to Tesco's or Sainsbury's.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Aww thank you, love your youtube name😄👍
Great comparison! What were those tongs you used to lift the loaf tin out of the ninja?
I'm so glad they turned out great Kerry. Shared that one ;) Keep up the great work. :) :)
Thank you Anth! That's lovely of you👍💕💕
Hi Kerry, just discovered your channel and it has inspired me to try out baking with my air fryer!
I wanted to ask whether you have links to the tools used to remove the loaf tins from the air fryer?
Cheers!
You have to take into account how hard the water is,how dry the flour is when it comes to working the dough?it can throw out the measurements, but however it turns out it still feels good when it's ready👍from BIGMICK IN HULL
Thank you Big Mick in Hull😃👍💕our water is quite hard here but as you say it still is good when its ready👌
well done they look delicious x
Thank you Lois😃💕
I’ve just watched this, you have a job as well!!? Oh my goodness, I don’t know how you do it!! I take my hat off to you!! Those loaves look delicious! When you’re making bread, try using a Danish dough hook, they come highly recommended for mixing bread dough!
Aww thank you Jenni☺️I was full time but I found a part time job which is a lot easier, it's in a school too so I get the holidays off as well!! Well gotta thank you for the danish dough hook tip (never heard of it before) so I checked it out and I've only gone and bought one!! I cannot wait to try it out😀👍💕💕💕
@@budgetcookinguk 😮 ohhhh wow Kerry, you were quick off the mark! I’m trying to remember where I saw the comments about it, definitely on RUclips, I barely watch anything else these days! Every comment I read gave it an amazing review 😊
Add one teaspoon full of crushed lightly roasted Linseed and sesame seed in the flour .... You'll love the taste ... full of zinc daily requirements
reducing the cooking time by 1/3 is a huge time saving ! It would be nice to know the difference in electric usage ? as per electric cooker Vs Airfryer ? but i would guess it would be over a 30 % saving from the airfryer ??? I never considered bread in an airfryer though Great idea
Well done Kerry - the bread looks lovely. It's inspired me to have a go using my air fryer.
My Lidl sells strong bread flour and yeast in the baking section - well it's abit hit and miss but they do stock it fairly often x
Thank you Julie😃💕I need to check mine again for yeast, never seen it when I've looked before🥴
July 24. Hi There, I’ve just bought the Ninja dual and have found your blog on bread making. I see you kept the crisper tray in and used the air fryer setting not the Bake setting. Have you found this the better option for bread? I admit I tried using the Bake option without the crisper tray and it wasn’t cooked through. Loving the site thanks.
hello from the Caribbean, i am also wondering the pros and cons of each method.
have you ever tried " Odlums " Coarse Wholemeal Flour to make soda bread, you can buy it in the uk, and have it delivered.yum yum, watch it been made on youtube, what's the name of the music in the back ground, thanks.
Well, it's quicker if you're making one loaf. If you're making 4 loaves with a full bag of flour, maybe not.
Why not use the bake function?
bread looks great ...have you any bread maker recipies, the ones i have are so so meehhhh
Thank you Karl, I tried some fancy pants bread known as fougasse bread (french flat bread) simple and delicious! Link below. Am planning to try more different bread recipes😀👍 ruclips.net/video/x9oyKCXYCKA/видео.html
How deep is the basket of your air fryer? What pan size did you use? Thanks...new viewer here. I do watch John Kirkwood.
Temperature tip?? Enjoyed your show!!
Get a jug, with a little more capacity than a litre!!
Boil the kettle of water!! Then pour in 400ml of boiling water and top up to the litre mark! That will give you the correct temperature every time!! Being doing it for years!! Good Luck!!
👍
I just bought myself a Ninja Multi DualZone , so I will hopefully be successful in this mission 😂🇦🇺
Yay🎉🎉🎉may you have lots of cooking fun with it😃👍💕
hi, new here, this bread looks good, I make bread from Johns you tube channel, maybe your flour wont fly all over if you spray water on your dough and then the flour
Really enjoyed this but thought youd use the bake option on the ninja too, like for like
Someone probably mentioned this, but you save a ton of energy using the air fryer. Probably 80% to 90% less.
😃👍👍 thank you, found an interesting article about this www.theecoexperts.co.uk/home-hub/air-fryers-energy-efficient#:~:text=Air%20fryers%20don%27t%20use,therefore%20cost%20more%20to%20run.
