I make buns in my Ninja with 500g of bread flour, a heaped tablespoon of milk powder, 50g of margarine, a bit of salt a level tablespoon of bread improver, 400ml of water with a tablespoon of sugar and 7g of yeast. I turn the buns over for the last 5 minutes with the temperature set at 170 degrees cooking them for 19 minutes.
You'd never know these were baked in an air fryer - they look as though you'd bought them from a bakery. Well done!
Every time I make bread recently, I've been impressed with the AFs results
of corse. 'air fryers' are simply electric ovens. nothing fries there. things are baked
Spectacular!

Wow is the right word
So tasty looking Kerry,I haven't really used the bake function that much in my air fryer,my granddaughter loves filo pastry and nutella so I've made samosas, spring rolls and filo parcels with the nutella filling for her using bake but always felt a bit apprehensive when it comes to bread and scones but you are making me want to have a go as it looks so easy with nothing to worry about, another great video
Looks fantastic Kerry, thanks for doing them in the Ninja. ❤
It's a pleasure Debs!😃👍💕

Aw thank you Julie😀💕
Hi Kerry thanks for trying this in the Ninja. I am going to try it in mine now😊
No problem at all Patricia 😃👍💕💕
Evening Kerry, i need to try this method of bread making. I did make a white cob style loaf in the speedi last weekend even tried the trick of putting the speedi on to slow cook for a couple of mins and then putting thw dough in there to prove. The whole bread took around 30/ 40 minutes from start to finish, i didn't wait for it to cool as the smell was just ama,ing and i even woke H with the smell going to his room 🤣🤣. Those really do look amazing Kerry, they are rustic looking which is what i love about homebaked bread. Job well done Kerry, Have a lovely weekend xxxxx Jac 💚♥️
Hi Kerry, I tried this bread after you baked it recently. I chickened out (at the last minute) when it came to putting dough in the fridge overnight and proofed it as normal, it still came out gorgeous, now my favourite tasting bread. I’ll pluck up the courage to refrigerate the dough one day 😄 Take care, Gill ❤️ I’m going to try rolls with this dough soon too 👍🏻
Hi Kerry, it looks absolutely delicious, i could just eat a slice with some butter on. 100 per cent better than a bought one. I bought a small sieve, it's slightly bigger than a tea strainer. I was watching one of John Kirkwoods videos and he was using to sprinkle pastry onto the worktop, i thought it was a good idea
That looks amazing Kerry wish I could bake, but I don't have any room in my small flat to store anything
Over backed bread is our favourite
hi Kerry, thanks for doing the Ninja version. i will give this a try next year when i finally get my new kitchen with more worktop space. as it is my ninja is in the sitting room :D
mind it's handy for my breakfast rolls .
maybe you could try the bread with 'spelt' flour, even though it is still weat it has all the good stuff still in it and is somewhat darker than plain white but not as overpowering as brown bread in taste
Knowing you kerry, you did really well to leave them to get cold. A pro Baker now❤AMAZING!!🥰👏
Oooo very amateur Trish but you are lovely to say so🥰🥰🥰
I use it every morning
That bread looks really good, I really should be courageous and have a go.
You can so it (especially if I can!) 😃👍💕
Hi Kerry. Great job! I use two thirds strong white flour...and one third granary bread that has seeds n malted grains...no knead..cooked in my Corsori...yum!!
Oh yum Mel, I need to have a go using granary flour, do like a granary loaf!!
Kerry Hollywood strikes again 😂 Another delicious bread 🍞 installment. It's so good you experiment in both air fryers. Yet again big wedge of mature cheddar and your happy.
I do my bread in the oven, 160 degree celsius for 30 minutes , fan asisted, I sray it with water makes it nice and crispy, the out of the tin another 5 minutes. If you tap the bottom of the bread you can hear if it´s finish :) I put alsorts of seeds in mine, sunflower, sesame, pumpkin, anything you like
Great job Kerry 👍 I'm going to give it a go after watching you x
That's fab Anita😃👍💕I'm connecting dots here so may get it wrong, you ordered via my etsy shop a while back? If I'm right, replacement order is on it's way!!! (Via my new Teemill shop)😃👍💕
Aww bless you Kerry thankyou so much 😊 ❤
I have tried this and ot's brilliant. Would you consider trying it using spelt flour please? Many thanks for 2 interesting and informative channels.❤
I would Fiona👍 will add to my 'to do' list and thank you so much as well🥰🥰

What is that music that you put onto your vlogs Kerry? It’s so relaxing and I could listen to it all day. Nice looking bread, still waiting for my rhubarb and lentil curry though. 🤣

Thank you👋😀yes I do👍👍
WoW! That looks amazing. Nothing better than home made bread. I have made your dinner rolls, must check out your Cosori vlog for recipe etc. Which Cosori model do you have please? Thank you 😃x
Hi Be, it's a Cosori Dual Blaze, love it - it's best feature is its has two heating elements top and bottom. Hope you had a lovely Christmas 🎅💕
Thank yoi so much Kerry. I hope you had a fabulous Christmas too xx @@budgetcookinguk
Hi Kerry will u b doing a Christmas cake this year xx
Yes!! Will be starting that soon 😃👍🎅💕💕
Hi Kerry, I really enjoy these bread videos. I have the Ninja AF500UK Megazone and I've used the Prove settings to allow the bread to rise, it does an amazing job. I'd like to have a try at using the Dehydrate function to make bread as there's been lots of recipes on Facebook and people have been having great results. Could you possibly try some more methods of baking bread? Have a great weekend! Xx
Hi Claire, I always use the dehydrate button for proving, it's excellent and saves time also.
I use the dehydrate function set at 40 degrees to prove my bread the least time set on my ninja is 1 hour for dehydrate but I stop it after 45 to 50 minutes.
I will definitely have a go Claire😃👍💕
Use my spike thermometer when baking more reliable than a tooth pick or skewer and aim for 9 degrees plus😊
I keep forgetting to try the thermometer Pru🤦♀️😄👍
Just started watching ….keen to try BUT worried the g/p paper would catch & burn 😮 does opening to check not make it sink? Will see later
I've not found it sinks if taking a quick peek (not like a cake, a bit more robust) with the paper I made sure it didn't go higher than the height of the basket, as long as it's not touching the element, it'll be fine👍👍
Hi Kerry, can yoiu let me have the details of the bread tin you've used please, as I just brought one & it said it fits this Ninja but it doesn't!. Loving your videos thank you. Zara x
Oh no that's annoying Zara, I'd argue for a refund! Thank you as well! 😃💕
These are Tala ones and they definitely fit the Ninja 400 & 451s.
www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B015R41M78/ref=nosim?tag=budgetcooking-21 (Zara this is an affiliate link, you don't pay any extra. So if you do decide to buy, amazon pay me a few pennies😃👍👍)
Could you freeze it … as l would like to do a batch and then give them to family and friends
Definitely yes😀👍 I freeze bread all the time
Sorry for being late on parade but the rugby 🏉 was on last night and it was a toss up with you or the rugby 🏉 I'm sorry to say the rugby 🏉 won 😊😊😊😊😊 mmmmmmm that bread looked scrummylicious and I wonder if you can make BREAD PUDDING out of said bread 😊😊😊😊 can't stop gotta go and watch a funny woman with an allotment on another channel 😊😊😊 as always absolutely brilliant video looking forward to the next one 😊😊😊😊.
Where did you buy your plate lifter?
I got it from aliexpress, significantly cheaper than Amazon inc cheap postage, just have to wait 3/4 weeks for delivery. Fast becoming my most used Airfryer accessory
www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004669520187.html
They also sell the bowl clip and anti heat glove thing, they're rubbish don't buy them👍
Brilliant Kerry how would you keep it fresh
Thank you Brenda😃💕💕I always wrap my homemade bread in a saved bread bag (I always save bread bags to use to wrap food etc) keeps fresh for a few days, any left after that is perfect for toasting (rarely lasts longer than a few days thou!😄)
@budgetcookinguk love crusty home made bread but doing slimming world so it is a naughty pleasure I have not made my own bread in years because of all the fuff of proving. I so want to try your recipe but I will eat the lot especially with real butter!but have a stone or two more to loose I guess though being good all the time is boring 😅
I would love to make this bread but i don't have any air fryer i still use the oven. How would you do this in the oven please.
No problem at all, I've been thinking about adding oven instructions as well as AF ones so here is some oven instructions (I'll add that it's best to check 5/10mins before just in case as it all depends on size etc
200C/180C fan/gas 6 for 30-35 mins
Giving Warburtons a run for their money there!
😄👍💕💕💕
Hi Kerry where did you buy the seeds from the bread looks delicious
So the flaxseed/linseed packet was from Lidl, lidl don't sell sesame seeds unfortunately - I got a pack from my local budgens store £1.79 for 200grams😃👍
Thank you Kerry made mine without sesame seeds wow it turned out gorgeous ❤❤❤
Holland and Barrett sell all sorts of seeds in large and small packets.
Hi Kerry, hope you're doing well.
Can we please ask what your painting is on your kitchen wall behind you? Me and mum have been wondering for ages, lol. Lots of love to you, from Jackie & mum Beryl xx
It’s called the great wave off Kanagawa by a Japanese artist called Hokusai, created in late 1831.
