I love how sincere that "I am not sorry." Was.
I'm 32, have never even played 1 second of a Final Fantasy game before, had no interest in any of them, tried the Final Fantasy 7 demo because "why not", wow I was blown away, it was brilliant, just pre-ordered it now. I genuinely never thought I would ever be looking forward for a Final Fantasy game coming out.
Same, but I'm not 32. I started playing more final fantasy games
Yeah in the same boat 27 and never played one well besides the online ff game 🤮
You guys are in for a long ride and beautiful story ...I played it as a kid and was confused af until I played it again as an adult lol it’s absolutely captivating y’all will love it
THIS is why I'd like it if reviewers and THE DEVELOPERS THEMSELVES would STOP TALKING ABOUT THE GAME AS IF EVERYONE'S PLAYED IT ALREADY & ALREADY KNOWS EVERYTHING THAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. Because realistically, NOT EVERYONE HAS and NOT EVERYONE DOES.
So many spoilers are littered about for gamers new to the FF VII story. And for new players, including younger gamers who WEREN'T EVEN BORN WHEN THE GAME WAS RELEASED, the mystery in key elements of the story/plot is more often than not nonchalantly & casually RUINED by someone saying "I can't wait to see how SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER happens" or a reviewer or dev just slipping it into their video.
Thankfully, I've played the original, but still empathetic for the noobs. Some people are just trying to figure out what the game's about in order to make a buying decision.
Randt Bobandy Welcome to greatness
The demo is so good you can practically smell the mako
@Colin Deal The combat is most likely pretty basic atm due to the fact its a demo, and so early on in the game
You can smell that? Get help.
@@titusgray4598 The humour is on point in the remake, especially from what I've seen later on. Made me laugh that scene
@@recklesflam1ngo968 It really is. I feel like this is how those characters WERE, it just was the technology to represent them that was limited.
The boy , looks like a girl .
I could listen to rob be in love with Final Fantasy forever. Gaia bless this channel.
21:05 NEVER apologise for talking about Final Fantasy 7. I could listen to you talk about Final Fantasy until the sun comes up!
Or goes down.
@@Ytnzy250 BOTH! All day and all night :D
true 😍♥️
Watching this at 534a.m for the third time
Wish we got this demo lol. IM STILL HAPPY THAT WE GOT A DEMO!! I agree about the facial expressions, like when Cloud tells Barret something in the elevator, and you can tell how Barret feels by looking at his facial expression. Same with Wedge...
You really hear that?Of course I do!.Get help.

Gladiolus: Sounds like you're having fun
I don’t think I’d mind if next week’s Friday feature is all about ff7 remake again, this game can’t come fast enough
Going on 5hrs of “playing the demo”....haven’t even made it to the reactor just been using the music as the soundtrack to my daily chores lol
I love how fast you can beat the guard scorpion once you understand the battle system. I went from taking 20 minutes to beat him down 5 minutes after a few playthroughs lol.
Yep it's just about learning and adapting
My first playthough I was nearly out of potions when it was over.
@@OwtDaftUK yea I was surprised how challenging it was. caught me totally off guard.
@@Ch0ntrol Staggering. Read the descriptions of the attacks, focus on staggering, and you'll barely need to use a single potion before the fight is up.
@@OwtDaftUK yeah, I used up all my potions; almost died at like 10 different points
1: they are touching nostalgia in every right way.
2: they are giving you an excelent game.
This is the most excited I've been for a game ever.
Everything I see about FF7R just makes me want a remake of FF8 all the more...
Same. Same. So very much "Same".
And no, I wasn't talking about the Triple Triad Rule. :P Although.... Triple Triad 2020 style..... With an updated "Shuffle or Boogie".... Come one Square Enix, what more reason do you need to Remake FF8?
Rose Green or 6
FF6 and FF8 are my favorites, so I would love those to be remade. So long as the same attention to detail that was on this demo continues.
Well if they keep it turn based cool, if not it's a waste of time
The turn based battle system is what made the game. What you want is a whole new game. You want the junction system gone too? Loo
From what I’ve seen in trailers and from two demo playthroughs this game is peak perfection to me. Characters are spot-on, battle system is deep and feels familiar yet new. Music kicks in perfectly in important parts building the mood like you were watching a top movie. Midgar was my least favorite area in the original game but I’m really happy they broke the game to parts and expanded Midgar. Lays a good foundation for future games.
Rob's love for the game is truely contagious. Looking forward to it more than ever!!
Seems perfect for a Final Fantasy 7 ‘What’s all the fuss about?’ Remake! Let’s see what Dave thinks about the remake after his first FF7 experience.
The demo made me feel so at ease with how the combat is going to be handled. They really improved it from final fantasy XV
I worry about not being able to level like you used to. Seems to me there's only a set amount of battles
@@IamAcerbus na i think when the game opens up a bit I recon enemys will re spawn when you return to a previously cleared area! I hope so anyway
@@IamAcerbus They will definitely have respawning enemies. That makes sense anyways. There may be areas where you can grind and backtrack.
IamAcerbus I went backwards in the reactor and ran into enemies I defeated before, I’m sure they respawn after either a period of time, or leaving the room/area
I wonder how they will do part 2, will your stats/items transfer over? Or do you start over? Cause otherwise people will just max out everyone on part one before part 2 comes out
Tie this madman down before he changes the channel name to ff7 remake! I am obsessing over it too...so thank you for being a fan 😊
So many people excited for knights of the round or bahamut zero but can we all just take a minute to imagine how incredible Vincent's chaos form is gonna be 😍
Gonna be great but wont see any of that in this part
I hope they change some of that. You couldn't control him once he used his lb.
I was hyped but cautious before the demo...after the demo? Bruh. I'm ready.
Imma go play it again.
Sir, I could listen to you talk about FF7 all day. I’ve wanted this remake for about half my life. I was keeping my hype level in check so well since it was announced. Now that I’ve played the demo I can’t handle it!
I've never played final fantasy then i saw the demo and instantly decided to play original final fantasy 7 , and im loving it
Just finished the chase sequence escaping from midgar
Omg I've reached the gold saucer this game is amazing
Welcome to the FF7 family Rohan. Glad you enjoy it so far. But believe me: the best is yet to come. 🙂
I'm so excited
I wish I could play it for the first time again.
@@rohanjose4967 oh man wait till you get to Cosmo canyon. :)
I played the demo on Wednesday, spent the afternoon downloading it while getting Sora up to level 99 in KH2.5 ReMix and cheerfully kicking Sephiroth's butt, started the demo and cried like a baby at the intro. Aerith is so pretty! Cloud's French voice actor is the same as in Advent Children (thank dubbing gods)! The music is just whoa.
No, seriously, words escape me. I will make sure my brother downloads it on Sunday, and by video game gods, he will play it! And he will be torn over the same problems as me, ie: start to save up to buy the game, and get a physical copy because there's no way in hell our PS4s will have enough memory space to download it, and finally... Find time :p
I will get this game as a Christmas present to myself or so help me!
I love how the music gets more dynamic when in battle. Nier: Automata did this perfect with having up to 7 versions of one song. I’m happy that VII Remake took this idea.
I've been waiting on this video. Thank you, Rob. I've wanted your take more than anyone else in games media currently.
I love listening to a robcast in the background as I'm playing FFVII.
I just love how rob talks about this game you can feel his excitement and happiness throughout the whole video.
Just the tune at the start screen I had a tear in my eye all this emotion come from nowhere I have waited so long for this game
I always wondered why Jessie said the explosion was bigger than expected. Now we know why!
Literally asoon as I finished the Demo you guys uploaded this amazing timing and a amazing remake that I'm firmly on the hype train for
Oh it's time!! It's Rob time!! Time to enjoy another Friday. 👍🏽👍🏽
I think it's great that this game is getting remade. This game was before my time but now the remake introduced me to the series and made me play the original, which I had no interest in.
I feel very much the same way
Kai what?! The original was incredible!!
@@xorcst it was cool, wasn't fan of the gameplay and the grinding. But overall it was good
Now we only need a Remake of FFVIII and IX and we'll be set
Death by Konami Noooo!😂🚫FFVlll and VI are perfect the way they are. They were made like that for a reason, no need to do a remake. If you were to young to play the originals, or just missed them some how, you can even play them on your ps4 now.
Brilliant content as always, Rob. Hurry up April 10!
5:15 Actually screamed from excitement of hearing Tifa speak.
13:27 Had to pause for a second there to really take that in. This game seems so amazing. Wildest fantasy's are coming true here.
20:34 Just look at Ifrit freakin uppercut that pig. Hell yeah.
Huge Final Fantasy 7 fan been waiting along time for this remake and the wait was worth it. Played the demo and what a beautiful game the visuals are breathtaking and the controls are great, This is probably the best remake and one of the best games Ever Made.
When I bought a playstation I got tomb raider 2, resident evil and final fantasy 7.
Oh my god I'm so excited. Rob, you only made me more hyped. I love hearing you talk about 7, original or remake.
Man, you really hit the nail on the head with your last point here- FFVII feels so abstract, we would be imagining what was actually happening while we watched static battle screens, or navigated cloud around the model railroad-sized version of the real world, and the remake (so far) captures the sense of what we thought was actually going on so well.
Finally a whole new generation of people will get to experience what we got to so many years ago.
Welcome, you are going to love it here.
@Ghost_Troupe As a first time experience it will definitely be better. But for those of us who have played the original, we will get to enjoy not only nostalgia, but the wonder of seeing a world we only imagined come to life. They may get to learn what materia is, but when we hold it, we see it's true potential right from the get go. It's going to be a good time for for everyone friend.
The demo just delivered on everything for me characters are spot on I loved the combat a nice blend of action and tactical strategy. It’s feels very fresh and new but still familiar everything thing is fleshed out. All my doubts have been layed to rest I preordered the deluxe edition with no regrets.
I only ever said this to Ryan George of SR's Pitch Meetings, but you, too, are a wonderful RUclips personality.
And this video is wild!
And I'm extremely envious that you got to play through Wall Market already.
The lighting Unreal Engine provides in the game is astonishingly good and now I know why. Just read an article about how the developers re-created Midgar from the ground up and this is what they said about the lighting - “We’ve used new tech to enhance the game’s lighting, to make the city of Midgar feel as real as possible. A network of over 100 synced PCs do copious physics simulations, calculations to work out the exact realistic reflection and how the lighting beams will bounce off any object in the game. Through doing that we managed to create amazing atmospheric lighting for the city.”
That intro transition 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Genuinely cannot wait. This game is why I love video games, it was my first experience with a game that had such a deep story. When I took control of Cloud in the demo I had to wait a few minutes to get over the nostalgia and the chills washing over me. It was so fun reliving the comparisons in my mind while playing. I'm so excited for more.
I personally played and enjoyed 6, 9 and 13. I was planning on playing 7 but then the remake got announced. After playing the demo, I don't think I'll miss out on too much if I only play the remake, it is gorgeous and very fun. I only wish I understood the combat system better!
@Bob Bobson if the remake is only part 1 play the remake first then finish the actual game for the story it's what I am doing
Gotta be honest, at first I was underwhelmed, somehow orig. FFVII was never a game I played much, my first real FF love was XII. But after replaying the demo I admit I'm ready for it, big time.
I'm the opposite, the demo underwhelmed me, but I was hyped before
@@charliemilroy6497 I think that's fair. For me it was only when I started to realise that the combat has some depth that I re-engaged honestly. Still not entirely sure about the non-combat stuff, I just hope the RPG elements have depth too.
Will rob do the option to remove the parts from airbuster though
Having played the original when I first got my PlayStation in 97, and seeing the remake playing before my eyes...Rob. I'm right there with you when all my memories of this masterpiece came flooding back like the Hoover Dam just broke.
Thank you SqareEnix. Thank you so very much
Question for anyone who knows. If I preorder and buy this game on release, will I have to buy the second and third parts when they come out or will it all be included and updated normally? Thanks
Yes perfect move to put rob discussing on this video comparison! Good job! 👍
5:12 Is this from the demo? I didn't encounter it nor seen Tifa in the demo.
I am SO EXCITED for this game! The environment and the world just feels so right and seeing the crew together like how they are, almost feels like seeing good friends again after such a long time. I'm looking forward how everything will unfold. Looking forward to see you talking about it too, Rob!
Honestly who writes the scripts for these videos, absolute masterclass
It’s interesting hearing different channels takes on what they got to play. All of the points Rob brings up (and love) are what others are not as keen on. I for one am loving every bit of it. I don’t think it’s “over produced” or the boss fight is “too tough”. Can’t wait for the full realest to see how it translates as a full experience! :D
I love many elements of both the original and what I’ve seen of the remake, but one of the most significant things for me is the music. I’ve been playing its music for well over a decade on the piano, and I don’t know that I’ll ever get tired of doing so. It’s so good. As are the story, characters, combat, and so on... it’s just all so good.
Man, watching the original intro it shows how much those two helicopters adds.
Rob, one can NEVER talk too much about Final Fantasy VII Remake. I cannot wait to immerse myself into this alluring and tragic world. Great video! Cheers.
My question is, are we getting part 2 and 3 on physical discs or will SE sell them via DLC?
Just got done playing the demo everything i expected and more! Great remake! Great justice to the series love love love it!!! It brought happy tears to my eyes just lovely!
I think I'm more excited for Rob than I am for the game itself!
Thank you for sharing your passion for the game, sir.
That initial transition into the remake from the original was rather beautiful 👏👏
After seeing this feature, i am so downloading that Demo when I get the chance.
I loved that transition, well played
I love this scipt. You have some beautiful metafores Rob Pearson :) “flirting with the gameover screen” that sentence just changed how i will look at these kinds of gaming situations forever ❤️
Wait my demo ended as soon as I left the first mako reactor?
I was 12 when the original came out. It shaped my childhood. Absolutely love the time they are taking to make sure it works correctly.
I'm so excited for this game to come out, a little more than a month and we'll all be swinging that Buster Sword!
I cannot wait to play this. My channel is named from this game
How did you get so much footage?
Wait how you do all this in the demo 🤔
I played that last and I didn’t even get to play Tifa is it play different every time you play? Is the game out alrighty am i missing something someone plz tell me ......
First play through of FFVII Remake and scorpion sentinel kicked my arse. You have to be constantly looking at cloud's and barrett's atb gauge and switching between the characters. After defeating it second time through, I had more satisfaction than in the original. Thank you square enix, this game is going to be epic!
Knowing how much love SquareEnix has put into part one and the taster that is the demo, could you imagine the kind of things the future instalments will feature?
Beyond part one there are so many 'moments' I want to relive in 4K. Playing all of part one will be one big, amazing tease for the rest of the game. I'm looking forward to getting the full part one and sinking hours into it.
I was not prepared for that intro sequence
I've waited so many years it seems for this remake to come out. Not to play it. But to get the chance to watch how excited Rob gets.
😁😁😁
I was really impressed how tough guard scorpion was lol, went through almost all my potions
I love the effect when Cloud's sword heats up and starts glowing from hitting the mechs. Very realistic and immersive.
I know it’s a remake and cloud wasn’t able to jump around and dash back on the ps. But I was expecting something like FF15. Basically expecting cloud to be able to jump around and move like advent children. But that’s my mistake for comparing it. It’s FF7 Remake, and when I started seeing it as a remake of the original. I realize how amazing the game was. Same mistake I notice others do on mafia 3 and compared it to gta5. I realized the mistake and loved mafia 3. I appreciated the game for what it is and not for the achievements of others.
You’re not alone. I also kind of expected to be at least able to jump. I really enjoyed that in XV...
@@PhineaBlue you can i believe its circle in battle only you can hit those plant things in the air with cloud they probably dont tell you until later on but yeah give it a shot and thank me when you have even more fun
PhineaBlue I enjoyed it too. The way FFXV allowed you to move, and the way he moved in Advent Children. I was expecting him to move the same.
Only ever heard you make reference and whisper sweet nothings in our ear about how much you love the game, but never fully understood what the hype is about. This video properly had me appreciating the upgrades from the original, and those before and after shots really got me excited! You've convinced me, this in an important game!
A dream realised, never before have I seen such effort and talent working towards something I love, well done Japan.
I've watched this video about 10x's. And I'm still replaying it!!
Keep up the great work, I am busy playing ffXV and the more I listen to your videos about ff7, the more I want to push pause and switch games!!!!
I haven't played the FF series but seeing Rob's pure happiness is giving me secondhand happiness.
Id be lieing if i was saying i wasn't genuinley chuffed for rob. You can hear it in his voice, almost refreshingly filled with a type of nostalgic vigor that i rearely see from him. Chuffed for ya rob x
I've had FFVII on ps1, ps3 and ps4. Metal gear comes a very close 2nd to how much I love this game. First time playing the demo I got chills watching and listening to the opening sequence, like what I'd imagined in my head for years HD FFVII would be like had come true.
Awesome video. Time to play through the demo a couple more times before the game releases. I would like to get to grips with the new battle system a bit more.
I can hardly wait to see Cloud's Omnislash, or Vincent's limit breaks, in which ever part I will get access to them.
Jessie and Cloud's "That was cool" moment is great lol 😂👌🏼
Since there's no random fight like in the original one how do we level up? I'm a little bit worry about that. Do someone know?
You just level up normally through fighting enemies you come across and with side quests.
How do you access the second demo with the summons and tifa?
That was a press demo.
The only thing that makes me more excited for this remake than the fact that it's only a month away is hearing Rob poetically speak about his excitement with such passion, bravo sir
The one thing, I feel, you need to master is using the short cut, the character switch and co-op buttons. Base on what skills they have.
Once you got a handle on that the battles gets easier to manage. As each unique skill each character has in easily accessible.
I was not looking forward to this game. I did not want my favorite FF game messed up. Well I am now excited 😆!! That demo changed my mind. They did a great job with the combat. My body is ready!!
What I’m most excited about won’t even be in the part that’s coming out. It’s the fights against the weapons when they show up. I’ve never played Original ff7 but after seeing diamond weapon in ff15 and hearing rob talk them in bosses videos I can’t wait to face them. Especially with the new combat system
So unbelievably hyped I'm with you Rob.
Does nobody see that cloud has a fire elemental buster sword?!?
It's an effect of Fire Materia; Water and Thunder Materia have a similar effect
@@deathbykonami5487 Effect of fire materia linked to elemental materia*. Not just fire, cause then he would have the effect in the demo as well
thats what happens i guess when you use fire materia on your weapon?? idk man. but elemental weaponry would be amazing!
@@cherrydragon3120 Look up one comment. We already know how it works
@@cherrydragon3120 there is a materia that adds the element to the weapon or the armor. Fire alone is just for the magic .
I bet Rob had a blast making this
Alright, I need all the audiobooks this guy has narrated. I could listen to his voice all day.
Thank you Rob for being awesome.
love that cut to the new title at the beginning!
When does episode 1 end?
