Finally a tutorial that made sense to me. I created 3 objects, 1 for the top line. 1 for the bottom line and another to blend the both of them. I've been trying to GET this concept for over a year and managed to do it most of the time ... but now I really "get" it. I was trying to flip on the same path and it was never working. Now I create a new path for each - top and bottom and things are golden. Thank you!
No long intro, straight to the point. Thank you.
Perfectly explained. I have seen other videos on this but they are a little confusing. Yours is really good, and taught me everything I needed to know. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that your uploading anymore. Sad because your one of those very few people in life that can explain something to me once and I get it the first time. Your a really good teacher. I do hope your ok.
Alot of people just think they deserve to put content on the tube because they have some wack knowledge and a device to record them. I wish someone reviewed alot of the tutorials on before allowing them on. It would save alot of headache. You're by far the best teacher and channel on here as per topics relating to these type technical issues. Thanks for this great tip. I wish i could give your channel a super like. However, i just followed as well and you just earned yourself a super fan.
Blakey Don't stop making soft. I wished I started as early as you. You have a lot of years to learn!
went through when I first started video editing, now it's taking a whole new switch and learning soft will only boost my courage for the
Thank you very much. This was exactly the video I was looking for. I was needed a video which showed how to combine the strokes of a circle with a text. Thanks for showing this option 🙏🏾
FINALLY!!! straightforward and well explained, so many other videos overcomplicated this action, thank you!!
Lovely tutorial, I am fond of your teaching style. Precise and nice
Just the amount of info I needed to know to get both jobs done text on a path and the lines between them. - Thanks.
Best tutorial I have found on this and the simplest form to do it!
Holy shit thank you for this video. Every video I've watched before yours never talks about the ascender or descender options. Thank you SO much for helping a hella confused graphic designer out!
great video! im super amazed of this quality of videos being your first one, keep going and youll make it far! :D
The instruction is very clear, I'm now able to make text in the shape of circles. Thank you so much!
I'm so glad I watched this - I thought this would be more difficult to do! I got a lot more out of it - tiny tutorials on how to use the other tools, which is great as I am a beginner with Illustrator. Most other tutorials are so fast I can't see what they have clicked on and I'm rewinding multiple times. Thanks!!!
This is the best free software Ive seen. Respect.
Short, sweet and to the point. THANK YOU for a great tutorial!!
I love a video that gets straight to the point. I watched 3 different ones that were over 8 minutes and still didn't know until I landed here. #subscribed
07:05 holy shit , my heart just stopped for like 2 seconds , great tutorial tho
Apologies!
@@jimmypostierjr4549 ouch my ears
I had not made it to that yet and clicked the timestamp and laughed so hard!!!! still laughing
HAHAHAHAHA I died!
Love the detailed view
Why do I have the extra circle on the first design? When you said copy it, I don’t see you have the first circle still
EXCELLENT Thank you, been doing this the hard way for years👍
Nice video Jimmy, you explained this really well! To make things easier when moving the text along the path, hold Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac OS) which stops the text flipping to the other side of the path, which happens way too easily without holding Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac OS).
Very nice tutorial brother, i could understand it very quickly

You can use the baseline shift feature on the bottom text to fine tune text position on the line.

Excellent tutorial...had no idea about the "flip text"...that opens a whole new world for me. On another note, I'm trying to break into this biz with having completed a Professional Certificate from an on-line school. How do I build a portfolio now that I have no clients nor class assignments in which to create things. Do I make stuff up like food labels, posters, logos???? I have one piece that one instructor deemed "portfolio worthy." Help!
Great tutorial. How do you save it as an SVG file because when I do, all I have is a circle and no text
