At the beginning of the video, I was only expecting to learn the method of how to do a text band around a curved shape, but after 10 minutes, I just can not believe just in this short time I got 5 different kinds of methods to do all diff kinds of text in Adobe Illustrator! Haven't even gotten through the whole video. Love love loved the part about creating the circle and using the scissors to cut it. This makes life way easier.
Great tutorial - probably the best I've seen yet in terms of speed, clarity and easy to follow instructions! When you discuss MESH warping, (around 11:52 onwards) IMPORTANT: If you just click onto a node and drag it won't warp. You have to click and release one node, then click on it a second time and it will warp. This drove me crazy (using 2019 Illustrator CC) until I figured it out. Click on it first, release, then re-click on the node. The first click seems to put the nodes into edit mode. Only need to do it on one node, then the rest are ready until you click away from main object.

Super helpful. 1. Tried the Mesh warp with Direct Selection Tool; didn't warp, just moved layer around. 2. I was going to ask if you could tell me how to scale warped text successfully, but when I tried typing along a path, the scaling worked -- at least when not combined with other layers. Amazing.
