One of the best videos for beating the slice I’ve ever seen
... grip, hips, turn, takeaway, bowed left wrist, extension, ...
All the bases covered in simple, easy to understand (and apply) terms. Great job, Jonathan!
Keep up the good work 👍🏻
The only thing missing is shoulder tilt and “clearing the hips”.

Thank you, this information fills in the gaps of my current knowledge. I summarized your thoughts for later reference:
    1. The Grip. With a marker, place two dots on your left hand.
    1. One dot is placed on the meat of your palm, right in the center.
    2. For the second dot, extend your thumb out on you hand. Where the right side of the thumb connects with the wrist is little indentation. Just inboard from this point, place your second dot.
    3. For the dot on the palm, first place it directly on the front center of the grip and proceed to grip the shaft with your fingers with the thumb appearing a little more along the side. When you look down at the dot on the back of your left hand, it should appear more on the right of your grip or along the right edge of your shaft.
    4. If done correctly, it will allow you to close the club face through impact, reducing the slice.
    2. Upper body vs lower body. Pay attention to where your upper bode is relative to your lower body. Keeping your centers aligned, (head, spine) during take back will prevent the reverse pivot which makes it difficult to swing the club head in to out. Just be aware that you want to keep your upper body more away from the target relative to where your lower body. You should feel your hip staying left and your upper body turning away from the golf ball. Be careful not to physically move you weight more into your trail side. Stay fairly centered with your shirt buttons more to the right than you belt and it doesn’t have to be a lot.
    3. Club face down. Control where the club face is pointed in the back swing. As you go back, you want the club face angled down toward the ground. If your club face is pointing straight forward or higher, as the club is parallel to the ground, when you get to the top of the back swing your lead wrist will likely be very cupped and that’s going to influence your swing direction to be more out and across the ball. Whereas if you keep the club face more down or closed when you get to the top, it’s going to make your lead wrist is more flat or bowed, it’s going to influence the swing path to be more in to out. To affect this change, as you’re making the back swing, feel as though the club face continuously turns more down towards the ground. Don’t just angle the face down, feel as though the club face continues to turn more down towards the ground in the back swing. Feeling this exaggerated position will help you achieve the position you’re actually trying to achieve.
    4. Forearm Rotation. Control how much the club face is closing after impact. A lot of players with the driver show the lead hand above the trail hand with a wide gap between the elbows after impact. This is a sign that you’re keeping your club face open through impact. Instead, get the toe of the club to overtake the heel at a faster rate. The way to accomplish this is to focus on what your forearms are going to be doing through impact. As you’re going through impact, you must straighten out your trail arm and make sure that your trail forearm rolls more above the lead forearm leaving very little space between your elbows. As a drill, you could get the forearms of both arms to touch each other.
    5. Strike location. Pay attention to where you’re striking it on the club face. Spray some foot powder on your club face to determine exactly where the club strikes the ball. Work to hit more centered or toward the toe. Todays clubs are designed for more of a draw near the toe. Swinging over the top tends to drive the heel of the club into the ball first or if you have the club face open, that’s also going to make the heel of the club strike the ball first as well. If you take a foam noodle and place it pointing at the target and just outside the toe edge of the club. This will give you feed back if you wander outside the proper swing path.

You are (hopefully) reading these comments. Not everyone can / will pay for lessons. Yours are almost invaluable. I've read Hogan's book, Little Red Book, Green Book & the YellowOrangeBlue Book had there been one. I learned more in these 11 1/2 minutes watching your vid than those combined. No idea how you're able to cut thru the clutter and deliver multiple simple & powerful swing corrections so easily. At 70, imagine how bizarre it was to see my very first intentional draw. I call it my JKM draw--especially since I hit another with the next swing. It needed a better name than "holyshitIcan'tbelieveIhitthat".

Hi Jonathan Having discovered your videos about 10 days ago and having watched hundreds of golf instruction videos on RUclips yours are by far and away the most comprehensive, clear and detailed I have seen. In all the lessons I have had over the years no one has mentioned some of the things you have. They are like gold and have awakened my desire to improve using your drills etc. Please keep up the good work, as I now realise how bad my golf swing has become and if you are ever in Portugal then I will be the first in the queue for lessons. Just Brilliant.

this guy is simply amazing, I have gained more confidence in my overall game and swing from his instructions. I have taken private golf lessons and most of those guys are bafoons. This guy on here is AWESOME. I tried this yesterday on the range, turning my wrists over, I was finding I was turning them a little too early and everything was going left, but not right, which is good and I was hitting the ball solid on the sweet spot and wham, easy half back swing, easy tempo and couldn't believe how far the ball traveled vs. when trying to swing harder. Only thing I have to figure out is when to turn the arms/ wrists over, once I get that down, look out people

This is the best I've ever seen for anti slice driver tips. God bless this man and this content. I hit my 3 wood farther than anybody In my group hits their driver. 260 on average with roll out mostly straight or slight fade.. BUT I can't even pick up the driver without getting so nervous. I've hit my driver over 300 yards but 80 percent of the time I'm hitting slices to the other fairway. Releasing the club is my problem with driver I'm trying to push it straight. Can't wait to play a round on Saturday and step up and bomb my driver. Everything makes so much sense with the forearms touching . Rory McIlroy is prime example of the follow through. Thanks again!!!

After taking your tips for straightening out my faults I feel that you put your finger on my problem . I'm off out to the back yard to practice . I feel confident already that I can get back on track quickly . Your explanation is clear all I need to do now is work to achieve some sense of direction down the fairway . Many thanks for the tips . I do not know the reason why but ever since I fallow your tip and change my grip position at address then suddenly along the back swing and down swing seems everything are all fall into the "right position", and I need not to pay attention to anything else to produce nice drew with a free and speedy swing.
