I have never commented on golf videos that I’ve watched from dozens of channels since I got into the sport a few months ago. I’d like to let you know this video, along with your playlists for beginners, are an absolute godsend. Thank you.
This year I have been lining up the ball on my left shoulder, moving my head behind the ball & tilting, using a wider takeaway & adjusting my tempo to not swing so hard toward the ball. It has made all the difference in the world in my driving.
Just got into the game at 43, and there are lots of videos on how to be a better golfer, but Jonathon your tips are the best I’ve followed and work. Although I’ve only been at the driving range, I still feel confident that my swings are pretty good for a beginner.
Thank you Jonathan! I really like your videos and it’s easy to understand everything. No annoying loud music, no excessively excited and loud voice like most of youtubers. 😊
I would not apply concepts with driver to a 3-wood. General rule is that anything that you hit off the ground you must be hitting down in it to some degree
Hey JKM, great video. I have found that I have a tendency to hit snap hooks when I try to stay behind the ball like this. Any tips on how to execute this without the snaps would be appreciated.
You need to ensure that the club face is not too closed at impact. Usually is you are not use to staying behind the ball so much you need to feel like you are holding open the face a little longer through impact
usually players that drop kick with the driver will swing the club too many degrees in to out or lean the shaft backwards to try and hit up on it too much

I’ve been getting around on courses with my 5w because my driver is absolute trash. This is the clearest video I’ve seen on how to hit driver. Thanks!

Love how you explain what we amateurs are doing and what we need to do to improve. Keep it up!!

Your videos have been so helpful, and I'm always looking forward to new ones.
Thanks Jonathan. That was brilliantly described and very easy to assimilate. I appreciate you.
Lately I’ve had trouble with driver. Can’t wait to use these tips this weekend. Thanks. Your drills are the best!

I would like to know in the down swing is it the trail arm pushing down or it is the lead arm pulling down ??
Your instructional videos are top notch, where are you located at?
I am based in Singapore
Nice!
Can you do a witb?
Does the club face have to be square to the target?
Question: Do you have a drill to hit the driver in the center of the club face?
You can use face tape or foot spray on the face when hitting balls to see where you are hitting it
@@JKMGolf yeah…hosel. Consistently
Do you have advice with dropkicking with driver?
usually players that drop kick with the driver will swing the club too many degrees in to out or lean the shaft backwards to try and hit up on it too much
