Watching you and Padraig Harrington has helped out my game a lot. Appreciate the videos you post in the past and today. Your like the modern day Padraig Harrington. You talk about the golf swing in a more modern day golfer way. But, you cover all the same things he speaks about.

So, I have only played for the last 4 years, I started a little late, I’m 80 and really enjoying the game.
needless to say I have been hitting the ball all over the place. I’ve watched and tried to find some simple approach to just hit the ball correctly and in the right direction.
I found you on the internet mixed in with all the other golf advisers about 2 weeks ago.
Yesterday I played the best round ever, finally broke 90, shot a 87 and had so many great shots ( for me ) I was just so happy and thankful that I found you.
Your approach and demeanor is spot on.
    Thanks for the tips.

I turned 70 recently, and although I started golf when I was 35, I dropped it for a number of years and now feel like a complete beginner again (almost)! 87 is awesome, no way I could play to my former h/cap at the moment (16-18), you're doing well! Be interested to see how you progress... Best wishes from Perth, Australia 🏌🏾‍♂🦘

Why does a seemingly decent swing seem to suddenly "evaporate"? Why do I go from "having an idea about what I'm doing" to suddenly "lost", seemingly with no clue how to swing?

I also often have the problem of hitting the ground first, then the ball. This often happens when I'm focused on the ball, but if I aim my gaze 2 inches from the ball I hit the ball much better, but I'd rather be able to see the ball and still hit well than aiming for a point that's 2 inches from the ball another factor for that is of course my early release.

With your videos I notice that you don't talk about twisting the hips. Is that because shifting your weight and turning correctly is a bi product and the turning happen more naturally or do you still force the hips to turn. In otherworldly, I don't see a violent turn of the hips! Great lessons!

Club lag is key too. There are so many variables that it would take years for the normal person to master this. I’ve only started since February but I’m close to breaking Par. I’ve fished all my life and it has helped me immensely due to knowing your Swing strength. You can use 4 / 6 / 8 / Approach wedge and tilt angles to compensate for the missing clubs. That’s all I use.
