Thank you Johnathan: I am a 76-year-old new golf player. And I found your series among the best, appreciate the effort, enthusiasm, that you put into every video. And believe me, I learn a lot. Of course with my age limitations. Keep up the great work. Hugo
You are the best pro with your clear and precise explanations. I recognize myself in this Video because I didn't turn my shoulders, only my arms. We need you to understand the golf.
Great drills Jonathon! This winter I have been working on taking the club wider on the takeaway & getting my left shoulder under my chin on the takeaway. Those drills are perfect for that. One other thing I have done to slow down my rushed swing is to have a slight pause at the top.
Hi Jonathon. Makes a lot of sense.. just want to point out that us less flexible golfers will have no chance of getting anywhere near 90 degrees on the backswing.. let alone past it .. cheers
@@JKMGolf I replied to this comment because I thought you would see my question. I'm wondering if you could tell me what software I can load on my laptop to view my swing in slow motion? My smart phone video is unable to play back in slow motion. I'd like to see my swing broken down so I can see flaws. Thanks in advance. I love your videos, they are some of my favorite for golf swing instruction.
Another well articulated instruction video. I often get that stuck feeling when I'm too tense, and that invariably leads to bad play. After playing badly long enough I quit caring about the result and this leads to this feeling you've described of having more rotation and the hands higher.
we need a lot more body awareness and functional training on the sports rather than just only focus too much into Technic and power , thank you Jonathan , this is what I need it .
🙌🏼🙌🏼👏🏻👏🏻💪🏼👊🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼 This video is so helpful for me . Wow, after many years, you are still putting out content that is helpful for me. Continue killing it, Jonathan
Johnathon just explained my problem to the exact detail. The short swing looks exactly like my current swing. Feel rushed with very little power. Going to start practicing extension and rotation.
Great video! Im only about 2 seasons in since I started golfing. Never quite understood the importance of tempo until just recently. And in turn, has made me into a more consistent ball striker.
Thanks for an excellent explanation of why I feel rushed and how to fix it. By the way I'm looking at inserts (hitting mats) for a simulator. Yours is perfect. Would you mind letting me know the brand. Many thanks. Steve
Great video! When I try to get a full shoulder turn and extend, I tend to stand up in the backswing and then throw my arms at the ball (chunking, thinning or flipping). Any suggestions?
It seems real difficult to turn the LEAD shoulder behind the ball (especially as I get older), and can result in breaking down (bending) the lead arm. Is there a feel (and/or a drill) to turn the TRAIL shoulder BACK? … which I assume produces the same result of rotation and extension … or does it not? 🤷🏼♂️ More good stuff 👊🏻 as always Keep up the good work
Thanks Jonathon. You are one of the best teachers on youtube.
THE BEST!

Thank you for another video
Quadzilla! Great tips mate
I’m a one of rushing down person especially driver swing. Thank you for your idea.
Jonathan, great video on rushing the downswing and very practical drills to slow it down to get back to square at impact. Keep them coming!
I don’t quite have this problem but I’ve learned to swing slower and calmer without a bunch of swing thoughts and it’s helped me tremendously.
Jonathan, please helps us with our short game….sandwedge and pitching wedge…..it is a challenge for me. I really like your explanations

I've been struggling to slow down my back swing and downswing and this video helped a lot.

Perfect tips for my problem. Probably one of the best teachers on youtube.
Wow, thanks!

Thanks Kim, you make it simple, but great for most golfers. Gorgeous
Exactly what i needed great tip

I see a lot of coaches teaching the 'stuck' version - tucking the right arm super close to rib.
Just what I needed. TY

With driver on the downswing can I unfold the right arm as I’m rotating or should I keep the right arm bent?
Thank you JKM! very helpful your videos and drills.
Totally made sense!
Awesome content!

Great video JKM. Now can you teach us again how to properly start the downswing from there?

as always
Keep up the good work
So for the 1st drill, how do you do this without falling into “reverse pivoting”. I feel like it’s a very fine line.
Tqvm👍👍
JKM I’d like to see you play with the Good Good team. You and Kwon vs Brad and Garrett. What do you think?
Haha that would be awsome! would love to collab with them for sure
My dude
Could not enough rotation and extension cause thin shots and no divots
Man...I haven't looked at your videos for a while. You have reeeeally bulked with muscle lately. Must be spending lots of time in the gym.
Great
