    I just had a lesson with a former LPGA tour player and this is exactly what we worked on. When I mean exact it’s like I’m with her at the lesson again. Valuable stuff and giving it away free cause he wants his audience to get the most enjoyment out of this sport. JKM is the man!!

      A good rotation is a major element of an efficient golf swing. One cannot have a good swing without proper rotation. Unfortunately, too many utube videos digress to all kinds of tips to catch our attention.

    I think people have to feel free to lift their lead heel when doing their backswing. For me, it's just a natural motion to raise that heel....and it used to be pretty standard for golfers in the past. So many golfers limit their backswing....simply because they think they're not supposed to lift that lead heel.

    You absolutely NAILED my tilt problem, right down to how I look in my follow-through. I've been fighting early extension for months now, and I've figured out that, as long as I get both shoulders under or at the ball in my swing, I maintain my tilt throughout. I just have to remember not to lift my head during my downswing and make sure my trail shoulder passes under my chin BEFORE I move my head. Great tips!

    Another bad thing about flattening the shoulder turn in the backswing is that the hips then move forward towards the ball in order to maintain balance, then you lose all the space for your hands to come through impact. I noticed myself doing this in a recent video, when I rehearse keeping the left shoulder tilt in my backswing, the problem was solved. Hips stay back nicely and I finish in balance deeper into the left heel. Thanks for confirming this!

    Hi jkm
    My back normally has a curve in it at the lumbar region
    When you spoke of a straight back with examples did you engage your core and keep it engaged throughout the swing?
    I’ve had right sacro pain mostly if I hang back a bit and get after the driver
    Seems when I fully commit to move left posting left hip over left ankle the club naturally shallows and good things happen but I feel like center of chest is a bit passed the ball
    Anyway please address the core of u could
    Take care

    Great stuff (as always) 👍🏻
    Q. r.e. Knee Flex: should your LEFT KNEE move forward (toward the ball)? … or, should the LEFT KNEE kick in (toward the right knee)?
    It seems in an effort to get more hip turn and tilt in the backswing, some people let the left knee move laterally, which might make it difficult to get back to the left (weight shift toward target and post up on the left leg)
    Do you worry about the left knee?
    Should we?
    I have a slight tear in my left miniscus (pain), but it doesn’t seem to impair my ability to post up on it. But twisting (torque) in my left knee hurts.
    Keep up the good work 👊🏻

      Knee towards the ball is far preferable to allowing it to collapse sideways towards your other knee.

    • @JKMGolf
      @JKMGolf  Год назад

      It is ok for the lead knee to come in a bit because this can encourage you to turn more but ensure it doesn’t get behind the ball too much

    On the transition to the front is the left leg straightening before arms come down or are your arms and chest coming down which allows the left hip to go up and back.Great content as usual

    • @JKMGolf
      @JKMGolf  Год назад

      I wouldn’t straighten the lead leg before the arms come down. If you straighten out the lead leg too early you won’t be able to get as much weight to the left side. Usually the lead leg will straighten more through impact as the club comes closer to impact

    Love the content JKM! Just subbed! What do you recommend in terms of pressure in the grip? How hard are you gripping the club? and also which hand dominates/starts the downswing? I’m right handed and tend to grip the club harder with my right which ends up turning into not being able to keep my elbow leading and an early extension / steep downswing. I’m curious if hand pressure would help me keep the club more shallow

    • @JKMGolf
      @JKMGolf  Год назад

      I would still grip the club around a 7/10. One hand should not completely dominate.
