    i have the mower ... my yard is not that big .. but my first electric mower would leave clumps on the lawn .. this mower catches everything even if it is wet .. I love the mower

    I have been using EGO for 4 years. My last neighbor was a Milwaukee guy. We put our mowers and chainsaws head to head. He switched to EGO last summer.

    I have to say, I am very impressed with the power and runtime that this mower was able to achieve. Ironically, I am an electrical engineer, but for the most part, I have been resisting the trend to go with battery powered equipment. EVs, lawn equipment, etc... As a recent homebuyer though, I have been considering the M18 multi-attachment trimmer. I have some battery powered hand tools, drill, driver, impact, sawzall, portable inflator, and soldering iron and have been very pleased with those. I do have a Ryobi trimmer and blower that was handed down to me after my grandfather passed, but they really aren't good. The trimmer is basically useless imo, and the blower is really only good for small quick jobs since you essentially have to run it on turbo the entire time.

    Just got the mower and it didn't disappoint at all! I would recommend for sure. Built well and cuts well. I mowed 2/10 of an acre and it didn't even go down one bar on the mower battery indicator.

      2/10ths? So like 1/5th? Haha. JK. But seriously, that's really impressive. My guess is that the next 2/10ths (or 1/5th) lol will probably drop a couple bars. RUclips must really be trying to get me to buy this mower. I've seen probably 6 videos today o. How amazing it is.

    Enjoyed the video. Just a word of caution for everyone- don't discharge grass into the road. A motorcyclist could wipe out on the wet/fresh clippings.

    Just ordered this mower. It came with an extra 12 ah battery (total of 3) plus a string trimmer for $1319 on a special buy of the day. I used a 10% coupon on top of it to get it to $1187 + tax. I can return the trimmer, keep the extra 12, and get it to $993. Since I already have a spare 12, this gives me a second set of batteries to use. I don't need the trimmer but if it's decent I'll keep it.

    Considering this mower and would like to know how long it takes to recharge once it's completely dead. BTW, I would never have believed it could cut that tall grass so well and for so long!

    • @WilliamsonRidge

      It takes just under two hours with the rapid charger that came with it.

    Can you tell me how much area you were able to cut in that time?
    Thanks

    How is the mower when cutting wet grass. Does the grass stick and clog up the deck? Thanks

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Год назад +3

      This is one of the best mowers I’ve used for not clogging, very rarely have I had it clog usually in just really tall damp grass and still not often.

    About how many sq ft did you mow on one charge? And how long to charge it from dead to full charge?

    I got mine and the self propelled does stop so I have to turn it back on to run again idk if it’s supposed to do that or it’s a a bad machine I got

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Год назад

      I think it has something to do with a safety thing or something because when it done it on me I pushed it forward or it would drop in a low spot and I would push it a little and it would disengage but I’ve been using it now over a year and on a normal lawn and I just let the self propelled so it’s thing and haven’t had any more issues with it doing that

      I would contact Milwaukee, that doesn’t sound right…mine would run and the blades would stop spinning…they paid to have it shipped back and repaired it at no charge

      Glad they took care of it, like I say mine hasn’t done it any more over the last year, so I didn’t feel the need to contact them hopefully if it does do it again it will still be under the warranty when it does

      @@WilliamsonRidge Thank you Sir from Australia. The deals we get here are pretty laclustre, but the local toolshop had a 20% deal yesterday. I purchased the dual M18 blower (because it came with 2x 8.0 HO batteries and dual charger). Thinking this would allow me to save on batteries for the lawnmower is only for household use. 👍

      Wow! Great machine, barely touched the dual 8.0s after doing front & side verge then using batteries in dual m18 blower. Made stupid quick work out of the grass cutting. Looking forward to more brownie points from the Minister for War and Finance ;)

    How does this Milwaukee mower stack up against the Honda HRN mower?

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Год назад

      Not sure it may be a apples to oranges comparison though isn’t the Honda a gas mower while the Milwaukee is a battery? But as far as power comparison the Milwaukee is up there with about any gas mower I have used, or at least In that 6.5 hp range.

    Why do so many people cut off so much grass at a time?

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Год назад +4

      When the grass is 10 or 12 inches tall most mowers won’t cut 8 or 10inches high to only remove 2 inches, plus this video is a demonstration of battery life in a more extreme and also a real world situation where someone may not be able to cut their grass every week, seems most people want to know how something performs in extreme conditions so they know under normal conditions it is going to perform better than expected plus the manufacturers claim certain specs but it is always under perfect conditions, I think these kind of videos show more realistic situations and what the consumer can expect

    The only problem I have with this video is why you couldn’t make the first 4 or so passes with chute facing in so you didn’t shoot grass into street 🫤😩
    But, I digress

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Год назад +1

      I didn’t want to recut the grass from blowing to the inside plus I always go back with the blower and blow it off the street.
