This thing is beast when you have a programmable receiver and adjust the Throttle Exponential to something like -30... It allows for a more smooth throttle curve and makes the vehicle a lot more controllable.
Which receiver do you have? i tried Dumborg and it made things much worse. it now has no delay but still receives an input even after i let go for 1 extra second. I was starting to think it was the ESC then.

@@AsurasWrath164 I'll be honest with you I never realized it was called that. The way it's written on the transmitter without a space it just says DUMBORC so that's what i called it. Thanks for telling me though I appreciate it.

You are welcome! Thank you for the comment. I'm working on an upgrade video on it and it appears that even if you switch receiver and transmitter the problem persists so it might be an esc issue.
Double click the power button and recheck the speed, it's supposed to increase the speed

What version of model is this?
This one is the 1/14th scale mjx H16BM
I’ve got two of these and one H16P with the GPS. I love them and they are sturdy as f~€k! Took me forever to break one. I love running the two H16BM’s 3S and can almost outrun my dog! And the shock issue is partly due to oil, my shocks didn’t have any in one set and only a drip or two in the other, I always change out the oil anyway, I use Lucas hub oil from a truck stop or auto store and it works the best for me (use it in your diff’s too). Want to try a fun buggy? I got a KFPLAN 1:16 buggy on a whim, when I saw it I stopped to read it and something told me to buy it, I sure as hell am glad I listened to that inside voice because honestly, it’s been the best and most fun buggy I have ever got. It comes 3S, seems small for a 1:16 but packs a punch! The front shock tower broke but I just made a metal plate to screw on it and now the thing takes head ons at full throttle, although I don’t recommend doing that! Pick one up it won’t disappoint you! Good channel so far, glad I stumbled across you.
Isn't that the same buggy as the one mjx makes? also how did you fix the throttle response issue or did yours not have that? i tried putting in a dumborg transmitter and receiver but it made it worse.
@@JBRiderRC I did have a minor issue with the one and I couldn’t figure it out, the response to controls given from the remote to the receiver/ car was intermittently glitchy or slow or had a lag bug I’m but it wasn’t every time I ran the car, so I figured it was just a lower quality receiver and steering servo, but a friend of a friend I had run into at the park during a bash session advised me to do this when I’m about to power up the car/receiver and remote/transceiver:
1: make sure to turn remote on first
2: put the remote aside then turn on car
3: don’t pick up the remote yet, but turn the wheel one way, then the other way several times (he said doing that completes the pairing) and if the throttle is moved in even the slightest bit to power everything off and redo the process.
Now I can’t say that is what the problem is or that what he’s even saying is true, but it did help, actually helped it to the point that I didn’t notice the old glitches at all. Calm it a placebo affect or whatever or maybe I’m a little nuts, but hell, try it. What do you have to loose! And yes the buggy I was talking about is almost identical to the MJX. And I finally, well not finally but you know what I mean, broke something else on that buggy and it was the rear shock tower due to landing it on the roof after launching it over 25 feet in the air!

Your MPH readers off these only go 38 to 40 mph.
Gps is alwayes right only mayby mph off
I checked it and it goes higher than 40 i got 49 when driving in my car. From the looks of it it might cap out at 99 since there is no room for a third digit
@@JBRiderRC or it might roll over and start over, by that I mean it goes from 99-00, at that point 00 is in reference to 100 when it rolls over so 07 would be 107, 33 would be 133, ect.
@@andrew4403 when you say that you are referring to the cars only going 38-40 mph, right? Now are you all talking mph or kph because there is a huge difference between the 2. I had a friend that called me up all pissed yelling about how this piece of crap truck he bought on sale at the hobby store for around $300 misled him into buying it because it went 75 mph on a 3S battery, well we all got a laugh out of it when he figured out that the box advertisement said yes, 75 KPH not MPH! Because I am under the impression that if you upgrade some things and use a bigger more powerful battery than you can get a lot more speed out of thye car, I know when I use the bigger powerful vs the 2s I get a huge jump in speed and performance so the numbers he’s saying are about accurate, unless I’m mistaken, if I am then I’d love to know the real truth.

Thanks for the feedback. This is a new channel but I've been doing RUclips for a while and viewers favor having music much more except for when someone is talking and in this video specific i used it to mask the background and wind noise a bit. I'll experiment with lowering the volume a bit. Thanks again for the feedback.
