  • The speaker addresses the various disabilities that children can have, including Down syndrome, autism, physical, and cognitive disabilities. They emphasize that these conditions can stem from genetic factors, prenatal influences, and environmental factors. The speaker, an occupational therapist, highlights the increasing prevalence of these disabilities and shifts focus to the often-overlooked struggles of parents. The talk concludes by urging society to offer practical support and understanding to parents of children with disabilities.
