14:28 Healing is not about forgetting. "It's about looking at what has happened to us and saying, 'This will never defeat me.' It will never defeat me, but I will not live in this."
Spoilers: It starts around 9:00. Here’s my own summary.... 1. Live with integrity - Liars don’t heal. People who deliberately says something to hurt others, people who blame others for their problems, etc won’t heal. Make the decision to live a life with integrity. 2. Don’t pass on your suffering, pass on the wisdom you learn - life will never be fair. Look at what happens to you and say that it will never defeat you. Turn into your source of wisdom. Don’t live in woe. Wisdom or woe. 3. The choice to take risks. Don’t wait for proof. Take risks. You will always hit the regret stage when you begin to weaken. How many of your greatest fears has actually happened? How many of the most wonderful things has happened to you?Don’t take the safe path. Don’t look backwards for guidance. Don’t look for over to chart new. 4. Choose new words - Words are powerful. Don’t use the words entitled, blame and deserve. 5. Choose to get up every single day and bless your day - not based on what you have or what you feel, just be grateful because you are. Everything that happens today in this exact way will not happen again. Be thankful for the day and present moment. PS: She’s amazing and I encourage watching the whole talk but hope this helps if you’re in a hurry or just want the gist as a reminder ♥️
funny u say it starts at the 9min mark as i happen to be at the 9 min mark but my spouse thinks of coursei t starts at the moment we at cuz no other way
The first five minutes may not be essential to most, but for me and perhaps some others, those first minutes gave me life and I especially loved the idea that the choices we may see as small may have the most impact in our lives. "Little" choices matter. We have to train ourselves to choose the right things.
The power of choice: 1. The choice of living with integrity. 2. The choice of not to passing my suffering but my wisdom. 3. The choice of taking risks. 4. The choice of using my words wisely 5. The choice of appreciating every single moment as unique.
Choice #1 starts at 8:55 - Choose to live with Integrity Choice #2 starts at 12:03 - Choose to pass on my Wisdom Choice #3 starts at 15:09 - Choose to take Risks/be in the Newness, not afraid of it. Choice #4 starts at 19:03 - Choose new Words/Extricate three words - entitled, blame, deserve - from your head. Choice #5 starts at 24:18 - Choose to be Grateful
Ive watched dozens of ted talks. I liked some, i loved a few, and there are a couple i can literally say i have taken some advice from. But non of them went through me like this one. Im sitting at home in bed with a cold, feeling down and regretful for the life i could of had. And realizing all of the amazing things that happend to me, i had nothing to do with them. From beeing adopted as a baby, and having all i ever wanted in life. It was all done for me. And here i am sitting here feeling sorry for myself? Thank you. This was just in time. Ill be back here in a year from today to update. There are 1440 minutes in a day which means 1440 times we can choose to do it differently. bless all of you. We are alive. 27.12.2022
I heard this talk maybe a hundred times since I don’t speak English well, little by little I have learned many interested statements. Thank you for helping me to change my life.
Just discovered this video and I'm utterly gobsmacked. So powerful, so timely, so wise. I can easily see this having an impact on me for years to come.
Greatfullness to heared you. Mam..❤.1 of the most High Vibration I Hearedd. My neourohearing acivate & rezonate to my whole BEING..Thank you So Much Blessed You Mam..
Thank you TEDx talks and Caroline Myss for this amazing talk I've listened to 2x this year already! My notes: 1. Live a life of integrity 2. Pass on wisdom [not suffering] 3. Choose to take risks [try something new; travel the road less travelled] 4. Choose new words + pick a word you'll never use again e.g. "blame, entitle, deserve" 5. Choose to get up every day and bless it
Listening to this 10 times now, and still learning. Oh my oh my. Since the beginning of 2022, I decided to listen to this daily. How amazing it has been so far. It has really helped me in my choices daily.
The thought that there are over 4.7 million views of this Ted Talk give me hope that 4.7 people are walking the planet more enlightened. Love her way of telling the truth. And I love the prayer--nearly had me in tears.
She is ordained in the Light reason she is spirit filled to tell the truth, i am ordained in the Light i am Living a Life of endless blessings and power
Thanks, Caroline Myss!! Top 3 Takeaways - 1. Decide to live a life of integrity 2. Decide to pass on your wisdom not suffering 3. Decide to take risks - don't wait for proof
As a 20 yo I have been watching Ted talks for 3+ years and they have taught me so much about what it means to truly live. I feel lucky to have access to such wisdom so early in my life. This one definitely makes the top of the list
Ok. I have self diagnosed myself as addicted to this TED talk. I’ve watched it now 4 times in 24 hours. This woman is brilliant and nails exactly what we all need to do.
I told myself 4 years ago before ever seeing this Ted talk, I would never use the word “confused”, again! Confusion surrenders your power to be discerning and since then I have been decisive about every CHOICE I CAN make. 🙏🏽✨
My BEAUTIFUL daughter died a few years ago ... I remember they were talking about her care, and lifesupport. All I could think was... its a beautiful day in july, and my girl will never see this again.😔 .she was 28. I miss her so much
I am so sorry for your loss I can't even imagine it I have a dear friend who has lost five of her six children and she is amazing! I just lost my baby girl dog 2 months ago and I'm devastated to the point that I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of her on my arm which is something I never thought I would ever do.
10:48 "Dishonest people, people who lie, people who have moral crises and do not get it, people who blame others for things that they do and they know it, people who make choices, and they know another person's going to pay for the consequence of that choice and they are conscious of it, they know for a fact that they're saying something that is not true, and they know another person's going to be hurt by that, people who deliberately say things to hurt somebody, believe you me, your body knows you did that."
I have followed Caroline since 1995, when my husband died suddenly and the pain was unbearable. She helped me get through that period with such Grace. The Quakers taught me about the mystical side of religion but Carolyn added depth and wisdom to that understanding. I start each day with a prayer of gratitude inspired by Caroline and Maurene St Germain (who calls herself the practice mystic). "Lord, thank you for another opportunity to co-create a day of Heaven on Earth and share it with all who cross my path". Thank you Caroline for all your wisdon, support and guidance.
This chat is so powerful, I even decided to quit my job and some things in my life inspired in this, and you know what? It felt amazing and I don't regret at all. I came back after a time of watching it, to remember and keep all this wise words in my mind. Thank you for sharing this.
@g quin - No, even labeling them "failures" is not uplifting and does not help us move beyond those experiences. Perhaps thinking of them as stepping stones in life, experiences to learn from and gain a better understanding of life and ourselves, and events or experiences that can lead to something better. The whole idea here is not to look at things in the negative and not to dwell on the past in a negative way. See the growth and the potential in experiences and keep looking forward and moving forward.
I clicked on this talk because the lady looked wise, was not dissapointed. She is a gem and one of the most wise and intelligent people I have ever heard. Must listen again.
I first listened to this shortly after my father had passed away and I was teetering on depression. I must have watched this 30 times over the next several weeks. Her statements helped me turn my focus into something I could use to move forward. I can’t say enough about how much this helped me begin to heal. I still watch it once or twice a month for a refresher !
I disagree that we are born knowing about choice. We learn about choices, we are not born with instinct lower animal operate on instincts, not human beings we are taught about choices some people still don't know that, for example I don't have a choice, see what I mean, that person never learned about choices.

Love how she says that a person who lies doesn't heal. I believe this. You can't heal or recover from something that you pretend isn't a problem. God knows. Preach it!
Okay..never have commented on any ted talk before. But this one straight up ripped my heart out and made me cry. Every word she said is what exactly is needed for anyone who feels confused afraid or sad. And the best thing is she gives the reality on how to truly live a life in the present and forget who you are in the. I watched this 5x.
Good Job! ❤ Caroline has amazing workshop on RUclips. I’m sure you’ve done that… I went to her workshop in Santa Fe New Mexico. If you love this, wait until you see her in person. She has changed my life. The love that comes out of her is truly life changing. Good girl keep up the good work ❤🌈✨✨
I never truly understood it when I hear people say, "live each day like it's your last day," or something along that line. Caroline described it so gracefully. It's true; you only get to experience each day once. Sometimes when I'm feeling drained and depressed, I see the day as just another day. Nothing special. Nothing to be grateful for. But now I see that there is a reason to see each day with gratitude and love. The next thing I know, I'm in college, working, or living in a new city. I'm wondering where did all the time go. What happened to those days when I can just call my best friend and talk over coffee. I thought certain people or events will always be there, but things change. I changed. It's not every day that we get to experience the same day every day. And if we feel like each day is just another day, then stop betraying ourselves and putting up a front to please others.
I think you might have misunderstood. Caroline Myss did not say to live each day like it's your last. People who say they live their day like it's their last day are usually the type who cannot bear to hold responsibility for their own actions (decisions and choices). The exact "type" C.M. just told us not to be.
@@whitedandelion9765 Nope, you misunderstood Home Sweet Crafting, as she didn't state that the speaker said as much, rather she questioned when others did so. HTH BTW, it always amazed me - the amount of times in life you said "I'll call you later" or "see you soon", or similar, yet neither of you had even the slightest idea that that was the last time you'd meet for decades at best, or for your entire lives afterwards, more often than people could ever realise...
Words are powerful. In the beginning God said let there be and there was. I love the verse that says "as a man thinks in his heart, so is he" Proverbs 23:7 I have learnt never to give up. I was born British but was sent to Africa as a baby. I came back to the UK in my early 20s thought would make money and go back home to help my family. It was not an easy journey. But l tell you, l finally have my own business after 30 years of non stop acquiring knowledge, (education) working & learning new things. Please Do Not Give Up!
This has changed my life. I have watched this over and over and over again and every time I discover something new. I love this! Best Ted talk ever! Thank you Caroline Myss
I’ve lost count…seeds have been planted in the foundation of my mind, through the experience of seeing & hearing this speech. And I just know, the garden that will grow & bloom as a result will be more enlightening than anything I’ve ever imagined
I didn’t take how seriously words affect your mental state until I was so frozen in anxiety and panic attacks. After months of meditation, my mind no longer fill with negative words. Now it just sings. Like if I was having a bad day, my head plays a song that reflects my mood. When I meditate and calm down, my head plays the Christian song, “it is well”. It’s lots of other songs my head plays and I realize the songs reflect my mood. It’s a much kinder and gentler way to communicate with myself. Stop the negative words in their steps, forgive yourself and try again.
9:39 "Im not going to betray myself." "I'm not going to compromise myself." "I'm not going to put myself in a position, or put myself in any circumstance, or if I'm in a circumstance, I'm getting out." "I won't force another person to be in a circumstance in which I know they're uncomfortable in order to please me." "I won't hold another person captive because that has no integrity."
Everything bad she said I nodded my head to, these are all things I struggle with now. The victimization, the wanting to blame my xhildhood, being inherently negative, not being nice and just being absolutely miserable in my depression. I've been working on turning it around, it's very uncomfortable to capture one of those thoughts, turn it around and swallow it. The feeling you get from being negative feels good and that's my problem. I've watched this video 5 times and everytime the universe reveals more ways to fight back and overcome what I'm going through. She's a very courageous woman
...And hold in your heart this prayer: This day of my life will never come again I will never see the people I am looking at again I will never see this sunrise again, And I will never see that sunset. I will never see the person I'm having breakfast with again just this way. No, nothing in my life like this will ever come again. That alone, that choice alone, should take out of your heart every bitter taste there is.
@@soslothful That is true but then it comes down to the talks subject. 'Choices'. So as you sit there thinking that you don't want to ever sit again with that person, experience etc..... YOU make the CHOICE to change it.
I have never seen such wisdom in any human being in my life. God has blessed her with such great wisdom and I struggled to write down all the great points she made. I’ll be back :).
Idk how, but as a very young mother and I was guided to always teach my children the importance of choice. One of the way's I did this was to say you're either part of the problem or part of the solution, each second of every minute, in every moment you have the power to choose. It's your choice... ..
Yes all should have and give respect & fairness But not all will be given respect &fairness, not -alltimes all places all situations So “entitlement” seems demanding the universe owes one self these qualities
I came across this Ted talk just now and straight up made me cry. I'm doing the choice to take a risk right now and will follow every wisdom imparted by you in this talk. I'll be back again next year to comment and see what happens.
I first came across this amazing woman around 30 years ago when my Homeopath Doctor gave me some cassette tapes of her. I read her book "The Anatomy of Health" and others I can't remember. I saw her twice live when she visited Brisbane, Australia. Now all these years later I find her again. She is brutal in her honesty and continues to shower us with pearls of wisdom. Thank you Caroline for all you do. Much much love.
One day your childhood self and the kids on your block played together for the last time, but you didn't know it was the last time. You just enjoyed it. The ending made me think of that. I'm going to start picturing my life as a game of Frogger, each morning I'm going to choose to jump from one lilypad to another, yesterday to today.
Today, 2021, in the pandemic... I listened to you... I have tears in my eyes and I am ever so thankful for your words... I have so much to choose anew... God bless you and your wisdom.
She literally just described the power of knowing we’re mortal. My life didn’t start changing truly until I accepted my inevitable death.. it’s the motivation we all need lol
I've been saying this for years. It came to me as part of my journey and I kept hearing lovers (as they left me) saying they "deserved" this and "deserved" that, and were "entitled" to this, "entitled" to that. And they were bolstered and validated by dozens and dozens of books, podcasts, RUclips presentations, and more, extolling how we "deserve" this and "deserve" that. "Get the Love/Life/Money/etc. you DESERVE!" OMG! It's a frackin' EPIDEMIC that sets us ALL up for failure. WE DO NOT DESERVE ANYTHING. We are not "entitled" to anything. This is separate from gratitude and loving self, life, and others and acting in truth and with love, dignity, integrity, honor and more. We can savor every moment. We can see ourselves and the world. We can use our powers of choice, consciousness, grace, clarity, truth and being true to ourselves. We can share and practice empathy. Right ON, Caroline! Now, let's all eat some cat food and be honest!
I will not pass my suffering on, but my wisdom...Brilliant! This is how I live my life. My family can live their own authentic life and not relive my childhood at the hands of my abusive mother. My wisdom is to show that it is up to me to create the life I want. I've learned from the past, but I don't live there.
17:30 don’t take the safe path. When you’re making decisions on what to do, don’t look backward for guidance, bc there’s nothing back there. Don’t look at the old to chart the new. What you did before got you where you are today. When you don’t know what to do next... Do not go to who you were and what you did, bc it’ll pull you back. Be in the NEWNESS.
i wasn’t expecting this to be emotional but woah, i cried multiple times watching this because this is what i needed to hear after finding out recently that i need to be in the present more. this video is powerful, and life changing, thank you.
I don't have a great word to describe my feeling about this speech. I have been doing exactly what she said for years. People around me criticise me all about my thoughts, and choices, even including my parents. However, there is a voice deep in my mind telling me to follow my own rules. At very beginning, i don't have enough confidence to follow my heart and my decision. Later on, time proved that what I have done are the right things. Therefore, I became more and more blessed and happier. Now, this speech summary what I have done are absolutely correct. Thank you .
Listened to it all over again because I don't want anyone to be in therapy because of me. Thanks for this wonderful bit. I am going to take out lot of words from my system.
Where has she been all my life?? I’ve watched this three times. So far. Her words are spot on and yes, life changing if you own them and live them for yourself.
One of the best lectures and advice I have ever heard. Caroline Myss is always breaking her own boundaries and expanding perceptions beyond anything that's been explained before, she gives everything a new dimension. Much respect x
"Choose to get up every single morning and bless your day say i have no idea what's going to be in my day but it is blessed day "🙏 🙌 That is mind blowing. How every morning we get up and stress ourselves what will happen through out the day. She is amazing 👏
" I absolutely love words." What a wonderful thing to understand how important words, and understanding the power of using specific words impact yourself and others.
Im only 1/2 way through and I wanted to say this is one of the greatest messages I have heard in a LONG time... and I scour the Internet for inspiration. Thank you
I had to watch it twice in a row. There is so much to learn. When she said "knock it off" about the lying and blaming, I knew she was an important person and I should listen up.
I absolutely love this one. Especially the prayer at the end. This is how I look at things. And I have become more grateful for everything in my life because of it. Thank you Caroline Myss. ❤❤❤
What she said in the beginning was that this was a compilation of 30.5 yrs of her observations, condensed to 25 minutes. When she speaks about past traumas she doesn't discount them at all. She talks about grief, pain, suffering & the horrendous things people have to heal from. She talks about healing process. It was a 25 talk on vast amounts of info, VERY condensed. Of course it takes time. And she says we never forget, move forward and heal. Life is in the now. Following a spiritual path that is an important part of it. Daily goal. Not perfection. In order to have the capacity to live in the moment, healing, connection to true self, & Source are all a part of it. My "philosophy" - take what you want & leave the rest. If you don't like, there are buttons for that. She asks in the beginning, to see if what she says sits with you like chicken soup. This was a suggestion. There was nothing being rammed down anyone's throat. Scary? Have you seen what is on youtube & fb 24/7. Lol.
I enjoyed the talk and am also enjoying reading the various reactions and responses, in particular the “negative” ones because these are from people whose voices matter, too. When she said “chicken soup,” I wondered how many vegetarian eyebrows were raised. o_O
This woman and this Talk are Huge Game Changers! I'm a HUGE fan & lifelong student. I completely relate to daily gratitude Sessions. To quote This amazing, insightful person: "...If I ran the world..." I would make watching this talk mandatory on an annual basis for everyone. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us in the hear and now. The WORLD needs you, ESPECIALLY Now! Namaste 🙏😘
It is insane how much she speaks from my heart. But sometimes things and situations are flooding me with such negativity that I fail to stay in character and loose myself to depression. I then need to be strong and remember who I actually am and want to be. this TED Talk reminded me again and I am grateful! Thank you
I think I have listened to this more than 200 times. Whenever I am in a funk and feeling self pity start to creep in - when a negative thought spiral is starting, I listen to this a half dozen times (at 4x speed). I can loop specific parts of the video with a chrome extension when I need to blast something into my sub-conscious. Caroline Myss - thank you so much for giving this talk!! It helps me more than I can say.
Funny enough my sister said to me that in her therapy sessions my name is used a lot. It was a wake up call for me as I realised I had made judgments on her and was not even aware of! Our words can effect people, be quick to think and slow to speak …. I now choose my words carefully, this ted talks is priceless. The symbol of a butterfly has always been a sign that my angels are watching over me. 🦋🦋
I especially love the ending. Putting gratefulness into that kind of perspective grounded me like nothing has ever before. I've always heard the phrase "live like it's your last day"; but when you truly think about the uniqueness of every single moment, even the moments that seem routine or mundane, its gives you such a deep sense of 'wow'. No moment will be like this very moment. Every moment will pass and never come again, and tomorrow I will be a day older and experience moments I have never and will never experience again. This really hit me. This was a great tedtalk.
I came here for inspiration and I was not disappointed. I was hoping to renew my vision for life, and find some clarity as to how to move forward in my life, at this point, and it's all here. We do need teachers to help us out at all stages of life. I cried, I laughed, and for me, Caroline's teaching here is a perfect blessing . All the best to each person as we journey on the Road.
I LOVE THIS WOMAN. Dearly. In all the workshops, teachers, classes I have listened to, Caroline Myss has been such an eye opener. She talks straight up. There is no cheesy love bits, no pacifying. It is all to the point and a whole lot of endearment. Her lessons are more than just light work or shadow work alone. It is the divine balance of both, and seeing the lesson for what it is-A LESSON. The first talk I heard from her was rough, I wasn't used to listening to someone giving love in such a different way. And now I can't get enough of her! As I raise my awareness, the cheesy stuff gets old, its a beautiful thing but when you hear someone say it so plainly, yet filled with so much inspiration it hits the soul in a different way. I admire that.
I came across the prayer at the end, and decided to use it to accompany a video of a crazy adventure experience I had. I then watched the video and was touched by it. This was just days before my wife would cheat, and leave me, and my life seemed to fall apart. But I leaned heavily on God, and this message. Its relevance is profound. In good times and bad.
It's funny, I didn't get engaged into this talk at first, but I swear it's gonna be one of my all-time favorites as she got going. Amazing knowledge this woman has. Bless your day.
Thank you, Carolyn. I needed, so much, to hear your loving words. I’m so grateful that I happened upon you on this channel. I needed your guidance and, gratefully, you appeared, like my guardian angel. Peace and joy to you!
"Choose new words", "When faced with making new decisions....Don't look back there", Choice #2, and on and on. Every time I listen to this TedTalk, I am gifted a new tool to implement in my daily life. Thank you Caroline. ;)
The more you listen the more powerful her message gets. Listen close, she is a smart cookie so don’t feel bad if her words flow a little faster than your brain can handle haha
New Years Day 2022 AND I Just landed on this talk - so ON POINT - her message is so powerful and timely - I am listening to it for the third time in 24 hours - So much to take away ... Commit to live a life of integrity; Don't just speak your truth, TELL the truth! Stop compromising and betraying myself - Remove yourself from bad circumstances, Don't look backwards for guidance, that part of your life is over. Look for the newness in your life - TAKE RISKS! ThankYou Caroline, this message is a game changer for me and came to me at the perfect time in my life xx
Caroline, you are a great mentor, a great teacher, thank you for making our society better than yesterday. I need to listen to it again, again and again.
I love your work Caroline. As a recovering addict and depression sufferer (past tense), you helped me dig my way out of a hole I perhaps dug for myself in a way. You have helped me have insight and foresight I never could have imagined. You have become a sort of mystical guru in your books, seminars and personal truth. I find you so intellectually stimulating and emotionally/spiritually provoking. Much of what we talk about in a narcotics anonymous group I attend is incidentally based around much of what you teach and infuse in the sense of prana and human grace. Even in times of hardship and personal calamity, I have turned to your many works to infused betterment in myself and self progression. Alongside this. I have regained intuition I thought was lost. I have better insight into myself and mentalisation of the behaviour of each and every human soul thanks to your insightful meaning and infused belief. Thank you my beautiful and empathetic fellow human. The capacity we have to both hurt and also heal and enact the guardian of compassion as you describe in Sacred Contracts. Searching within ourselves for the truth and that voice that never settles even in my darkest days of thought. Behaviour and loss of life lived. My name Jason has a certain mythology of the Golden Fleece and healing connotations to it. You’ve made me rediscover and respond to a sense of innermost peace and tranquility at times like a human essence of Valium. But without the negative psychiatric consequence and with more of an empathetic and glowing sense of insight and personal growth. I can only hope to present the best of myself by way of what you teach. My sense of spirituality has found a grounding and a newfound belief in your inferences and spiritual logic/beauty of holy language. Intuition is real, strong and powerful. Sometimes to the point of hurting myself in life to escape it. You are an anointed figure by way of sacred contract and you’ve helped me respond to both myself and others with a sense of decided wisdom ( versus woe) and retain belief in the possibility of change and personal or soulful fruition. Blessed be.
Really really powerful. She is an expert. I have to say I love the fact the way she closed her message...a prayer to bless your day. To be thankful because you are alive...to be thankful for just you are, speaks a lot to me. Thank youu Caroline Myss.
I started replacing the phrase "I was bored so..." with "I was curious so..." and that shift of perspective changed my view and my conversations.
“I won’t force another person to be in a circumstance in which I know they are uncomfortable in order to please me.” This is pure gold.
Yes. Every parent needs to read and memorise this before having a child.
That's an understanding of real love, eh?
@@Kiwiwanderer Agreed!
And also, don’t force yourself (this is for everyone) to be in a circumstance which makes you uncomfortable just because it pleases somebody else ✨

Update please.
How it going with your decision ?
I heard this talk maybe a hundred times since I don’t speak English well, little by little I have learned many interested statements. Thank you for helping me to change my life.
This talk changed my life five years ago, no exaggeration. Looking back now, I’m still in awe.

2. Pass on wisdom [not suffering]
3. Choose to take risks [try something new; travel the road less travelled]

This is boring.
This is enough to depress you, not energetic at all.
@@maxinemoore8119 Here’s my own summary....
@@maxinemoore8119 I've made decisions that create a butterfly effect in my life, too. And I dont see how to undo that.

I always come back to this whenever I am down or up and wanna stay there
I never truly understood it when I hear people say, "live each day like it's your last day," or something along that line.
Home Sweet Crafting Lovely words of wisdom. You have a beautiful mind and heart ❣
HTH
BTW, it always amazed me - the amount of times in life you said "I'll call you later" or "see you soon", or similar, yet neither of you had even the slightest idea that that was the last time you'd meet for decades at best, or for your entire lives afterwards, more often than people could ever realise...

I agree. I watched several times
You sound like you're an aware human being.....and kind.....you're on a good path I reckon.
...And hold in your heart this prayer:
This day of my life will never come again
I will never see the people I am looking at again
I will never see this sunrise again,
And I will never see that sunset.
I will never see the person I'm having breakfast with again just this way.
No, nothing in my life like this will ever come again.
That alone, that choice alone, should take out of your heart every bitter taste there is.
Sometimes one might be glad for the above.
@@soslothful That is true but then it comes down to the talks subject. 'Choices'.
So as you sit there thinking that you don't want to ever sit again with that person, experience etc..... YOU make the CHOICE to change it.

“You’re not entitled to anything.” Hearing this truth makes me grateful for every single second, every single breath. 💕

When she said “chicken soup,” I wondered how many vegetarian eyebrows were raised. o_O

This lady was the first ted talk to actually drive me to change, she got super real and her honesty was so harsh but needed.
Somehow Caroline's words penetrate directly to my soul. She speaks wise truth that cuts through the armour of ego. Thanks for being you.

Hello Sheila
How are you doing?
"Choose new words", "When faced with making new decisions....Don't look back there", Choice #2, and on and on. Every time I listen to this TedTalk, I am gifted a new tool to implement in my daily life. Thank you Caroline. ;)
What kind of tools have you implemented?
The more you listen the more powerful her message gets. Listen close, she is a smart cookie so don’t feel bad if her words flow a little faster than your brain can handle haha
true...I should write every wise word and advice Caroline has said here....I am listening to this lecture, again and again...
That's exactly what I felt listening to her evey word.
New Years Day 2022 AND I Just landed on this talk - so ON POINT - her message is so powerful and timely - I am listening to it for the third time in 24 hours - So much to take away ...
Commit to live a life of integrity;
Don't just speak your truth, TELL the truth!
Stop compromising and betraying myself -
Remove yourself from bad circumstances,
Don't look backwards for guidance, that part of your life is over.
Blessed be.
Yes! Blessed Be ⭐😊❤️
she's not afraid to confront people and that's what I love about this woman. start with spiritual health and go from there.
Emma Ferguson I just read your post two years on and wondering how you are doing? Are you living life fully?
THIS goes high on my Ted Library! She is rare; direct, unapologetic, & spiritual.
Waking up happy for no reason are the best days!

I don't like that she's right, but she is....in a world of self-rejection....just words!
Haven't felt like that is a very, very long time.
So True 👍❗
Happened to me only once in my life
Really really powerful. She is an expert. I have to say I love the fact the way she closed her message...a prayer to bless your day. To be thankful because you are alive...to be thankful for just you are, speaks a lot to me. Thank youu Caroline Myss.
This is a Ted talk that we need to watch over and over again, there is so much wisdom in it...thank you for this great talk
