    Prunes sweet potatoes and popcorn are a few fiber rich foods I barely reach 15 grams of fiber 🎉I found a high fiber whole grain low sugar cereal 🤤🥣 thank God I'm going almost normal 😔

      Goal fiber is around 30 grams. Some evidence that our distant ancestors ate 60g.

      @@MarkCooperMD I see my hair getting thicker and bald spot growing hair so I'm happy and definitely trying to reach 30 grams of fiber today it was prunes and plant fiber all day . thanks

    I’m focusing just on soluble fiber, since constipation is already an issue. I have been eating plenty of fruits and vegetables.

    Thank you, Dr Cooper, especially in regards to adding the fiber slowly into the diet. I believe that’s been my biggest mistake. Too much, too quickly. Does fiber help with Acid Reflux, my arch nemesis!!!

      One of my many arch nemesis.
      Fiber may have varying effects. Some studies suggest it help some note it slows gastric emptying which may not be what you want for reflux. Small portions shouldn’t overdistend the stomach. Over distending the stomach is one of the biggest contributors to reflux.

      Try watermelon with acid reflux. Sounds odd but it worked for me.

    It’s so hard to balance everything out cause I’m trying to gain weight too and then I have anxiety as well with thinking something is wrong but also guys don’t get too much fiber too quickly unless you want to do that but it will make it upset

    Just to highlight, even though you balance calorie, its essential to match your fiber proportionately to the amount of protein intake as well.

      ​@@MarkCooperMD Is there any golden ratio on the proportion. E.g. if one wants to maintain let's say 100gm protein per day, how much fiber is adequate per day

    Where is the data? Is fiber Really necessary? Do more of your own research.

      It’s important to distinguish research and reading. I highly doubt you’re going to research anything as that implies a scientific investigation carried out over the course of years. Such research has been conducted and across multiple studies the science favors eating fiber.

      Fo you, fiber is not necessary. Just keep doing what you do, you'll be fine. Have you also considered taking up smoking?
