I was lucky enough to be sitting dead centre in the 4th row. What a show. Almost 7 years ago. Felt like yesterday.
What a legacy. Thanks Dave and crew.
I am SOOOOOOOO jealous!!! Ok, I was sitting in the end zone when Franco caught the Immaculate Reception.
You lucky sod.
Lol legacy. Just a talk show host
Note to editors: There is no need to trim these down so much. A few extra seconds of applause and a bit of extra banter can only make this better. No reason to cut it short.
Then they’d have to pay for music rights.
@@dixol While this is an absolutely fantastic point, there are also moments in here like for example in between Dave saying Barbara Walters and her saying the line. In the full clip, there’s a drumroll and applause, and Barbara walks out too far and misses the mark, and it’s really funny watching her walk back and then start to say the line, but they cut it out here. That kind of stuff is what I think Kent was referring to.
Here here
Keep them short, some of us have stuff to do
Thank you, Kent Diego
Everyone else: There to roast Dave.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus: There to roast Seinfeld.
Back in the early 80's I paid over $300 for a VHS recorder just to not miss one episode of Dave!! It came on too late back then.
Good ones. In this case Julia’s was my favourite, absolute savage! Jerry’s (fake) reaction made it even better😄
Was it really fake didn't look like for me!
@@gillesmorin9439 you know they do rehearsals?
@@Nathan-gd7xq rehearsal of being fake
@@gillesmorin9439 I have no idea what you are trying to say
I thought Chris Rock and Steve Martin had the best deliveries.
Jim Carrey cracked all the comedians up! Winning!
Dave Letterman became that Jim Carey character after he retired
An all-star lineup you would ordinarily only see at a Hollywood funeral...
2:50 Well played, Julia. 😁
Oh and Jerry seemed rather displeased with her comment. He wasn't laughing. 😂
@@mangafq8 that's called "playing along".
Jerry pretended to be mad, but he's such a bad actor. :D
I really miss this show. Thanks for the clips guys, they keep me laughing and sane.
The best
Yep. It all went downhill from there. Like SNL, They shouldn't be able to keep the name.
Man that last shot is like the Justice League of America for Hollywood celebs!
Now I see whom Dave got the idea for the long beard from. Jim Carrey!
All these years later and the finale still gives me the feels
Miss you Letterman! One of only a handful of shows I never missed, hardly ever.
So much talent in such a small space! All winners!
I say this on every one of these but I'm going to say it one more time, my life is not been the same since David Letterman left TV!
TV hasn't been the same since he left TV.
only letterman could bring in these a-listers.
Wow! What a golden moment for television.
I've been searching RUclips for a list I know I once saw called "Top 10 words rarely heard on the NBC Nightly News." The only two I remember were "chocolicious" and "Walter Mondale," so it must have been very early on. Not sure why I have become obsessed with this, but I would love to see it again.
Gotta say, Peyton nailed the timing.
Peyton is really funny. He has hosted and made guest appearances on SNL and always knocks it out of the park (wrong sport, I know 🤣).
He's no Barbara Walters, though.
Wow, a stage full of funny people, and Jim Carrey too!
maybe don't edit the clips too much next time
the whole introduction was funny too
it's not like youtube is charging for the minute uploaded
Sadly, I think they have to edit the clips or pay royalties to the music publisher(s). It’s a shame, because it diminishes Paul’s large contribution to the show.
You see the same type of editing on Johnny Carson’s official channel. Doc who?
It really says something about Dave when you look at that line up. That’s very impressive.
Who doesn’t love Bill Murray? 😊💙❤️🔥
1:56 Dave secretly has beard-envy of Jim Carrey ...
3:42 "Don't touch me!"
such a shame he isnt on the air anymore..after conan left..noone else worth watching or listening to anymore
I miss Letterman so much!
You should air my Crazy Crazy Tax Laws skit. It’s hysterical. To me. 😂
Seeing Dave at his ol' desk again, and his old set...makes me a little sick with nostalgia & wishing so much we could all have everything the show was, - back (Dave & company too of course ✌💜).
I'm so glad I ordered a Dave mug back when the show was on (same as the dark blue one on his desk, in the later years).. I look at it after I use it & always remember how his stage floor was about the same color..💜😘 And can instantly hear him standing doing the monologue..making jokes about New York squirrels & their nuts 😅😅/it was soo hot today, that the squirrels were putting sunscreen on their nuts 😊Or the latest spotting of Times Square Spiderman.. Those were good days 💙❤ ..And always asking Paul questions at his desk segment :) It never mattered what he was talkin bout generally, or asking Paul - I always said to myself.. 'Alright, let's hear it Dave..' 😊😘😘💜💙
..Wish we didn't have to lose Alan Kalter last year too, though :L Thinking of you too, Alan! 😘✌
Dave definitely saved his best top 10 list for last.
making the grammy's look humble and self-aware
Wow that's so cool. Those people really loved him.
Glad to be in top 10 comments.
I always think I'm over how georgious Tina fey is, then I see her again
And you realize she doesn't look like George at all !! Georgious??
We know that the word comes from Old French gorgias, meaning "elegant," but beyond that it's hard to say for sure.
It might have something to do with fancy necklaces adorning the throat - la gorge in French.
If calling someone gorgeous isn't enough, pack some extra punch and say "drop-dead gorgeous" instead.
Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 replies above this comment I'm saying. :D Hahah. Nice. Both of you 😊 Well done, hahah. Informative ~and~ enteraining! 😆 No wonder you're Dave fans ✌👏💙✌
Really?
Gorgeous 😃 - spell check 😁
Very sweet.
Best Top 10 ever 👍
Magnificent- sorry I missed it the first time!
Greatness
Pretty much just about perfect
Good stuff. A little surprised Howard Stern wasn’t one of the guests tho
a lot of my favorites on tht stage
Nine huge stars, and... some guy named Peyton Manning.
Peyton Manning was an NFL quarterback.
Yea, putting at #3 is kind of a kick in the nuts to others
@@teofilstevenson How so?
love dave miss him
Dave thank you for top 10
Hey Dave! Rock ON!
Dave you are the best.
Jim Carry, damn!
11:yes Dave i like the lining
Gorgeous Julia once again
Wish jerry sienfeld had come out in a pirate shirt.
Imagine to have been there!!!
Wow, what a send off.
I must be one of the few that thought Seinfelds final show was good. And the only one to make a comment about something other than Dave’s show.
The only thing disappointing was the ending scene of them sitting there in the jail cell. I get the idea of bookending the series..but it was anti-climactic. There was no big laugh at the end.
@@bossfan49 There were some great moments on the witness stand with various side characters, but most of it sucked. I actually loved the final scene more than any other part, because it was the throw back to the pilot.
Plus, I did have a big laugh at Elaine dramatically telling Puddy not to wait for her and him giving her the....Ok, and quickly turning his head.
With apologies to Carson and Conan, Dave was the best ☺️
I miss sweet Barbara!😢
Top one thing I want to say to Dave: Get rid of that soup-catcher! For real!
I love Julia
They were all great except 1
No.
David Letterman - the richest man in town!
Tina fey is proof that women can be funny
Big Names . Wow
The last episode of New Adventures of Old Christine wasn't that bad...
She was talking about the series finally of Seinfeld
Surprised Howard Stern wasn’t on.
Wish Bonnie Hunt was included in this.
Power play.
It would've been better if Jerry Lawler made an appearance on this show.
Nice of Jimmy to dress up.
They needed to have Charles Grodin in this.
Norm MacDonald?????
Julia and tina
Does Jim Carrey look like the Unibomber?
Genesis 39:9b,
Exodus 20:14,
Who are these people? Were they staff members?
Jim Carrey stole it
Boy if I would have picked any night to rob ten people outside Dave's studio....that would've been the night.
Jerry would’ve provided the coffee and getaway car
I remember back when Julia murdered Jerry.
Not Julia - you're thinking of Alec Baldwin, right?
superkool
Who’s the biggest celeb?
Elvis is the biggest celebrity! 😊👑
Could’ve done without Barbara Walters, ugh.
Yeah. Regis would of been a better choice
Jim Carey looking like Dave would look like in the future
Bill Murray shoulda had a funnier line.
There has to be an alternate universe where Barbara Walters was never preening and bumbling around on television.
Wow, Barbara Walters does not know how to tell a joke. Which is interesting, because "The View" is one of the biggest jokes in TV Broadcast History.
Julia and Tina touching base.
Murderers row of comedy.
Look out, Alec has a gun!!!
Well, that didn't age well for Baldwin and the woman make jokes about a man who greatly improved his nation's economy.
The good old days, when late night shows were actually good!
Yep
I love late night! But,I sure do miss David!
Todays late shows are all just a daily update of what the old orange gas bag is doing/saying.
Julia gets hotter through the years.
This was from his last show. We need a 10 year reunion show in 2025. National security depends on it.
Tina Fey at #2 ahead of Seinfeld and Steve Martin?
His replacement killed the "Late Night" vibe and tarnishes Dave's legacy.
Tina Fey was the funniest.
She was almost the least funny. Only Baba Wawa was worse.
No.
Dave to Alec Baldwin: Thank you Alec, thank you . . . for coming unarmed tonight.
@@josephmartin8169
Just adding some topical commentary. 😀
@@josephmartin8169 I would love to see Trump do an SNL skit of Baldwin playing with yuge shooters
I think you should write comedy
@@mattep74
Thank you Matt, thank you . . .
HORRIBLE CLIP!
Makes me remember how LAME Late Night shows are these days...
and how much I miss DAVE!
# 10 i did not shot that woman?
I'm surprised Alec Baldwin line wasn't Dave I didn't mean to pull the trigger.
0:33 The murderer #MURDERER
Found the Trump nut job
He wasn't happy with Chris Rock's joke but he decided not to make a big deal out of it.
Wrong! David loved that joke bc it’s true!
Julia Louis-Dreyfus said what we all wanted to say about the *_Seinfeld_* series finale!!!
That also was the first time Tina Fey was ever funny!
