  • The Engwe E26 is the latest 250W ebike from Engwe. It's a 26 inch fat tyre ebike meant for town and country riding, it's more than capable on road as it is off road and with hydraulic disc brakes it's going to stop well too.

    Hi John, brilliant review, very informative, just to point out to the viewers the bike weighs 35 kilos, the 43 kilos is reference to the weight as it comes delivered, box, packing, tools, etc, i have just aquired one, a quality product with unsurpassed attention to detail, even down to the packaging👍

    Looks like a great bike, there are some really good new ebikes at the lower end of the rices now. I have one very similar to that, but not fat tyre, I love it, go to the shops on it regularly and I live a mile up a steep hill. Once I get up to speed on the flat I often turn the peddle assist to 0, and I'm not a young fit thing. We are currently considering changing the Campervan interior to fit two ebikes in......

    Great review again John. I love the colour, it has an air of class about it. Its seems a great bike to use from home, but at 38kg, it's just too heavy for our van purposes, and as it would have to hang out on the bike rack, I'd be to afraid to leave it unattended given its value. Still, it looks a great bike. 👋

      Totally agree about not wanting to leave on an external bike rack, I’ve seen too many stolen from them sadly.

      @@GadgetJohn hehe, yes am familiar with that - but it would take up most of the interior of The Grey!!! Seriously though, the arthritis restricts the weight I can lift - it's all I can do to manoeuvre my rollator in and out of the van, and its less than five kgs. I am coming to terms with what I can and can't manage. Doesn't stop me dreaming!!! Yxx

    Oooh cool ill watch that later. In anticipation, if you were land based what would be in your garage? Smaller folder that could go in the boot, full size (like this one) or something in the middle like that stepthrough non folder you reviewed as a line up.of 4 recently?

    • @GadgetJohn
      @GadgetJohn  5 месяцев назад +1

      Full size like this would be my choice if I could ride to & from a house.

    Decent short review John my wife has short legs so I'm thinking that the step through would be best for her. Did you just try it on flatish terrain or have you tried it on some hills?
    It's a pity that you can't try before you buy and compare bikes from the same manufacturer.
    Come on Engwe get your act together

      Mandy is 5ft3 and she can ride this bike just about. I tried it on hills and flat and it’s great, though if you ride long hills you’d benefit from swapping the cassette over as I’ve done on my Engwe Engine X

      @@GadgetJohn Marilyn is a bit shorter than Mandy and approaching 70, she still rides her mountain bike but the hills are getting to be a tow for her. I can't ride at the moment as I'm waiting for a hip replacement.

    John just a question regarding your 12v cctv, can it see the persons face at night time?
    Some idiot came under my van and cuted the abs sensor, also the pads sensor wire.

    • @GadgetJohn
      @GadgetJohn  5 месяцев назад
