Just ordered the Engine Pro 2.0! First E-bike. My parents just got Ride1UP Portolas, which are awesome and I was very tempted to get one of those. I wanted more off road capability and rear suspension, so took a bit of a gamble on Engwe, hope it pays off. Great review=)
Hello. I'm interested in this E-bike and have checked out the various reviews. There were many good reviews, especially yours. I'm not a native English speaker, but your description was easy to listen to and visually very informative. I just made a purchase using the discount code you are offering. I'm looking forward to receiving it. Thank you, I appreciate it very much!!
Any ideas when this bike might launch in Europe? I can only see it on the US site. Also, do you think you'd fit a child seat on the back easy enough? Great review as always!
Hi David. Thanks for watching. I will ask ENGWE to see if I can get an answer for you. Hmmmm. depends on the child seat. The rack is thick (which I really like) but it does have that weight limit. Since I don't have young kiddos to test it out, I would say, that if the child seat fits on a rear rack, it would fit on this.
Perhabs you may be wanting to look at the Engwe Engine X? 🤔 it has the throttle on the right where you twist it, just like an moped. The Engwe Engine X got 250w, the Engwe Engine X is made for the EU restrctions on e-bikes, so the Throttle will be disabled when you first get it and top/max speed WILL be set to 25 + the Engwe Engine X got the CE certification. So its legal in the EU. Theres videos here on youtube showing how to enable the throttle and unlock the max speed) I would suggest you to look at some reviews of the Engwe Engine X. Hope this message helps :)
Hi I got the bike and it wouldn't start Ik it's full charged because of the green light on the charging brick. And when I would hold the start button it wouldn't so anything. Do you know what the problem could be?
Great review Scott. This looks like a really good bike. Would you be able to provide the length and grade of the test hill you use as well as your average speed up the hill? I feel like the info would be super helpful.
@@scotthardesty According to Google Gemini: "Yes, there is a difference between hill grade and hill degree: * Hill grade is expressed as a percentage and refers to the steepness of a hill. It's calculated by dividing the vertical rise of the hill by the horizontal distance traveled, then multiplying by 100%. * Hill degree is expressed in degrees and refers to the angle formed between the slope of the hill and the horizontal plane." With the original Engine Pro, it has 3 different settings providing you 3 different amounts of power. So it's like getting 3 bikes in one. With the 2.0 they are not able to do that. I feel that both bikes are nice but I did really like the fact that you could most definitely get longer mileage out of the original Engine by setting it in ECO. Besides that, they both ride the same.
Damn... I really liked them both. But the original version is like 3 different bikes. If I want to set it in eco and use 250w of the motor I can, or maybe I want a little more power I will put in normal mode for 500w. If I want all the power I put it in Sport mode and just go. The Engine Pro 2 doesn't have those options. The 2.0 does have a great torque sensor tho and its a more natural feeling when pedaling. I can't really decide to be honest.
@@jaroslav841 You would have to change the controller, add the torque sensor and new display. I think that might be expensive and I don't know if it would work.
@@mhmh9302 My link was to their website, so if its not on there I guess you need to ask them directly. I try to add it in videos but sometimes I miss it.

If it had twist throttle to 30 MPH I would get. But my money is on the PVY 1,000.
The Original Engine Pro will do 30 throttle only.

Why do you like the PVY?
Hi I got the bike and it wouldn't start
Ik it's full charged because of the green light on the charging brick. And when I would hold the start button it wouldn't so anything.

You have to put the key in the battery and turn it on. Did you try that?

at 14:25 I put a title that says the hill varies from 15-20 degrees. Lower right hand side. No clue the length yet.
@@scotthardesty I missed that, thank you. I thought there was a difference between the "degrees" and "grade percentage" though?

What is your opinion, which is better old Engin or Engin 2.

Really enjoyed the review, thanks man 👍
My pleasure!
Is this bike water resistant? Can it be ridden in the rain?
It can be ridden in the rain, just don't dunk it in a pond.
Unfortunately the UK model is restricted to 15mph and 250watt power pity I was considering buying one 😢
Yeah, the UK has different laws than the US.
I have a uk version of the older bike. You can enter the settings menu and completely derestrict the bike for full power.

How to claim this offer in Bangladesh 🙂
No idea.
Wait you guys have electricity and stuff ?

Can the speed limit be changed?
Yes
If you change the speed limit will that increase throttle only speed?
@@HeyFriends314 No. That is locked at 20mph.
