This "Jerry Garcia Band" concert is considered exceptional !
Why ? Perhaps another "Hampton" outing, ... ?, Bruce Hornsby sitting in ...?, perhaps the commercial CD release ...? ... in any case, the music, energy and smiles are clearly there ! Indeed, a great JGB show.

thank god there is a super clear zoomed in shot of jerry solo here.... absolutely sublime and showcases decades of lead guitar knowledge.. jerry is simply the best.
'86 thru '95 was a sweet blur of Dead shows, with many memorable moments, but this show right here we still talk about. No amount of acid could erase this show, because it seemed to sparkle.
As much as I loved GD live, any true Head would tell you the JGB shows were the shit. I look back now and wonder how lucky we were to be part of the whole fleeting trip.

I was struggling to quit drinking around this time and was sober at this show.finaly quit 9/1/92 and have been sober since.my pleasure to be sober today.green and sober that is.

Yes, this is Jerry & band doing a great cover of a Bruce Cockburn classic. Gonna credit Bruce further now, which I trust Jerry would respect. I saw Bruce years ago live at The Keswick Theatre (outside of Philly). He had just received his Doctorate degree. After one song (maybe this one?), an audience member blurted out: "Thank you Doctor Cockburn". That was golden to me.
Incredible tune. I gather it was John Kahn who brought much of the gospel songs to Garcia, wonder’n bout this one
