Hello Suzanne, Debbie Hayden here. I have a little shark Shitzu. She is fine with me. But wants to always bite my husband. Also she only will sit with me. Now when I was in hospital for 3 weeks she did get up on my husband knee. He was so happy. But when I came home she went back to her old ways. Now when we got her,she was very growly and still is. I have tried and tried to get her to stop but no way. Since it was me that did shhhhh shhhhh softly to her.my husband tried to do it too but nope. When he picks her up she gets wild snapping growling. I can say hey now and she settles. Is there anything I can do to get her to stop. I home groom her I don’t want her to get any bad habits. Or bite groomer.

Thank you for explaining hematomas so clearly. I was so upset with myself as a new groomer when a matted dog developed them. I blamed myself, and felt very guilty. As a more experienced groomer I always warn PP at checkin about the risks before the dog ever goes on my table. Now if I see really tight ears or a possibly dramatic client I just refer them to the vet. I’ve noticed dogs with veins visible are high risk specifically if you see a lot of blue. Also watch out for the ear getting very warm at the tip.
I had been wondering why we didn't see you using the clipper vac much. :) She turned out adorable!
