I love this video! I am happy that I have found your RUclips channel. I have two Yorkies and I groom my own at home. I have everything professional down to the grooming table. I used to have five once upon a time. They passed at old age. I miss them every day.
I love that the dogs feel so comfortable with you. Some breeds need a get to know the groomer time especially Yorkies! They love people but still need a minute to ease the nerves 😮😊
I just discovered your channel today. I am a 76 year old who just rescued a 4 month old yorkie found abandoned. I named her Elizabeth Rose. She is joining a 16 years old also rescue toy poodle who I have had for 15 years. I am starting over with learning to care for a different type of hair but I love learning. So far she is professionally groomed and looks adorable. I am so impressed with your handling of this little puppy and your patience. I have learned so much today from you. Thank you so much!
This little baby was very well behaved!! Great job! And good luck with the one you have coming in today after you've been groom-training him/her. That is one wiggly little pup!
Thank you for this video❣️. It was perfect for my needs. I love the idea of making a fun little collar for a fun look❣️. My male Yorkie pup has a thin top tuft of hair that is turning the steel blue color like this girl. Maybe a top knot won’t be good on him. I also want to scissor him for now and this will be my go to video in a couple of weeks. Clipper feet and eyes has me nervous but we will get there. He had his 1st bath this week but next time I will do the conditioner-shampoo first. I did leave the conditioner on for several minutes but his coat seems a little flyaway and dry but the heat is on non-stop here now. Anyway, so much great information and I am inspired by your calm insistent loving demeanor. Thank you so much for what you do. Awesome❣️💕
Wow! Wow! You are wonderful and I learned so much from you…Thank you for the grooming class. I look forward to seeing the rest of your videos. You are a great example of what can be achieved with patience and love
Beautiful cut! She is so cute! Thanks for sharing your work and tips. You are so kind and gentle, my yorkie would be coming to you for grooming, but we're in Alberta, Canada ❤️
Thank you so much -- I've recently found your videos. I'm so impressed with your patience, affection and respect for the dogs...and with your artistry taking into consideration each dog's coat qualities and so forth. I am hoping we will welcome a Yorkie to our family this summer. Whereas I did our last dog's haircuts myself after one too many bad experiences, he was an especially cooperative little Maltese-type dog. I don't know if I will be as successful with our new dog when he/she arrives. Your videos are so instructive and you are an excellent role model. If only I lived in your area, I'd trust you with our new dog whenever we get him/her. Whatever happens, I'll definitely be getting the puppy prepped for grooming in advance.
I really enjoy how patient you are in grooming this cute baby. You're so gentle and you don't push them like some of the youtube groomers. They are mean and they move the dog like they're nothing. One groomer was rough and she talks really mean to the dogs like they understand her. She says to the dog if you snip at me then I'll snip back, if you growl then I'll growl back, that's so immature of her. If I was the owner I'm taking my baby elsewhere. You are right that they are scare since this is new and you are a stranger to them. Once they trust the groomer and understand what you're doing then they become calm. Other youtube groomers should watch your video and learn from you.
I really love the tender care you exhibited with this yorkie. I have a yorkie that is 10 and I don't trust anyone to groom her. I have been trimming her myself. Where are you located? I would definitely feel comfortable with you grooming my baby. I am in NC, if your not, can you recommend anyone in NC
You made it look so easy. Looks WONDERFUL My little one never looks that good she wiggles i am in Bradenton can you recommend a groomer down here Thanks so much ❤❤❤❤
I have asked to join the Facebook page for ask a groomer. There was several and I didn't know which one was yours. So, I asked to join several of them.
Could you use thinning shears on the Yorkie to take out some hair ? Or would it tangle at the root , I certainly don’t want to make tangles, No Way . T Y
Desensitization from a young age and with patience, calm praise and/or rewards. At home, start w the touch, then sound, then sound and touch, then clip.
@lovetay7452 the only time we intentionally trim lashes is if we see they are causing eye irritation. We then also recommend they talk to the vet about it. Lashes are so adorables!
Veterinary ophthalmologists warn against that practice, they say that can actually trap undesirable stuff under the mineral oil making it difficult to rinse out.
I should learn but wouldn’t want to mess up a cut your voice as so and I watch your videos. I wish you were in my area. I think I spoke to you in messenger but you’re in Tampa are there any friends up in my area of Lake, Mary, Florida I just had my little girl groomed about three weeks ago and asked for the Asian fusion and the cut was not that instead of slanting down like what you call bellbottoms it went up it was wider at the top and shorter at the bottom. She looks terrible. I wanted to send a video to the shop so they can figure out how to do a fusion but I don’t wanna insult them so I guess I’ll just switch for groomers..
I have two small Morkies and I really appreciate how gentle you are with her.

I do indeed :)

That was amazing, I don’t have a Yorkie yet, but you taught some great ideas on the bathing part that I will use. Thank you! ❤️

I LIKE THAT ELASTIC BOW IDEA 💡 👌
I love the way she’s looking in the mirror like, “ I know I’m cute” 🥰
You are mesmerizing ! You have so much control in your hands . Could you tell me where do you get your energy? Amazing Work . T Y
I learned how to work hard from my mother. She could work circles around me in her early 80’s 😂
I had a feeling . T Y God Bless
I loved seeing this and how gentle and patient you are!! I am in training right now and aspire to be able to do what you do and how you do it!! ❤

Sweet dog ❤️
I have a tiny 4 lb yorkie like this. Sure wish I could find a groomer like you for her.
I have asked to join the Facebook page for ask a groomer. There was several and I didn't know which one was yours. So, I asked to join several of them.
We have changed the name to Dog Grooming Tips and Tricks
Could you use thinning shears on the Yorkie to take out some hair ? Or would it tangle at the root , I certainly don’t want to make tangles, No Way . T Y
I use thinning shears without any adverse effects.
How do you help get the puppy so comfortable with the clipper? Most dogsI know dont like electrical sounds as it bothers them or makes them antsy
Desensitization from a young age and with patience, calm praise and/or rewards. At home, start w the touch, then sound, then sound and touch, then clip.
I have a question: I might have missed the why, but why did you put conditioner on before the shampoo?
The technique is called Close Open Close. It is helpful for oily hair.
Thank you!
Where can we get the dog grooming harness that you have?
Thanks for your time

👏👏👏👍👍👍👍💜💜💜💜💜💜
Hi, she looks just like my little Yorkie 😍
Where do you get the paw mat? Thank you
PawMat.com
My Yorkie has beautiful eyelashes and I am so afraid that the groomers will cut them off 😭
@lovetay7452 the only time we intentionally trim lashes is if we see they are causing eye irritation. We then also recommend they talk to the vet about it. Lashes are so adorables!
Great job! My little boy is the same size and much harder at the groomers.
What’s the best brush to use for a 7 week old yorkie?
What a sweetheart. How much does she weight
3lbs
What type of clippers did you use on this puppy?
So sweet! Juliet is 5 months old and just turned 3 pounds! I think she will be small also!
Juliet is good with me doing a little grooming but giving her a bath is like wrestling a bull! Lol!
We’re you get your ear wash
Amazon
You can put mineral oil in their eyes just a drop in each eye that way if soap does get in the eye it won’t burn the eyes
Veterinary ophthalmologists warn against that practice, they say that can actually trap undesirable stuff under the mineral oil making it difficult to rinse out.

Every one has their own style. It’s difficult to find the right fit.
