Fun Fact: Jojos Part 2 takes place before steel clacker toys were invented. Some would say this was an oversight by Araki, however in my humble opinion, it means Joseph invented steel clackers specifically to use them one singular time.
21:33 It's not a random flashback, it's an incredibly important part of the story, as it explains how important fate is in JoJo. The whole plot of Part 5 is about fate and what happens when you try to change it.
@@DavisFluke It felt like that to me too, it's only after the third re-watch of Part 5 that I looked into what that was all about, and it all made sense.
Despite what people say one of the important fact that I hooks me to this show is the art style. I love instead of going the traditional way they really play with colours and character designs and they nail it every single time. Also stands are a really fun power system in my opinion.
3:25 the reason all of the tropes seen in anime of the same type are so intense here is because of how old it is. It started in the late 80s and jojo's actually kicked off alot of them.
Part 3 is by far the funniest and hyped up season for its intro and end. To me no episode felt like filler because I enjoyed the journey so god damn much
I hope you catch up to part 9 The JOJOLands which is currently on going with a new chapter on the 18th of every month expect October, the hype is unreal every time a new chapter releases and the plot slightly progresses, but the downside is that you feel empty from the inside for the rest of the month and the wait feels incredibly long

@@DavisFluke Yeah, VIZ are really taking their sweet time officially translating the JoJo manga, although they did recently speed up the releases making em a new volume every 2 months, so SBR will come out in May of 2025
Hope you enjoy Part 6, Its a culmination of the previous parts, its also a cursed part, Araki said he reached his peak of creativity, it is a very mixed feeling part ever since the manga concluded, but overall it has quite the amazing and poetic ending and tale to a long adventure. I honestly loved Part 6 both manga and anime, I understand that due to release scheduling and issues with internal problems, the animation is a bit off in the early episodes but slightly before the second half of the season, you know the animators locked in and created a masterpiece.

I can agree that Joseph as a character is the most interesting JoJo in the series ... & Dio love hate relationship is unavoidable as he represents PURE evil ... I'm sure you are going to love part 6 but can't say it will be a fav but still as a conclusion it is a peak
I always love seeing new people joining the community. It's a really fun video, but you could have turned down the background music in a few places, it can be a bit distracting sometimes. I'll definately check out your future videos
Question: why no part 6 in the video? It feels weird to talk about “all of jojos” without discussing the 2nd intentional conclusion (part 3 was actually originally intended to be the end of the series, but when part 4 happened part 6 became the end goal)
He's watching it currently, also you're half right on part 3 would've been the original ending but part 6 wasn't planned to be when part 4 started... Araki neither was thinking of that until he was at his peak and opted to make part 6 the actual ending and restarting with something new which was Steel Ball Run.
@@Myne1001 Araki had also planned everything from part 1-3, it was by part 4 that he had nothing planned. He just had a vaguely idea of what he wants to do, in fact after Stone Ocean he wanted to make something new that wasn't another JoJo series, only later he make it as one for advertisement to the magazine.
To be fair, Dio's reasoning for hating on Jonathan isn't that cartoonish - he grew up in poverty and struggle. And when you come from such an upbringing, it's difficult to stomach a person of your age who grew up in luxury without any worries. Also, about Fugo: there actually is a reason why he's got so little time in the show. The thing is, he was meant to become a traitor working for Diavolo later (noticed how Choccolata + Secco duo has the "plague + raw physical power" concept?) But Araki was going through a really heavy depression episode when writing this part so he couldn't push himself to committing to this plot direction. Finally, about the flashback at the end of part 5 - it wasn't random, it's to show the symbolism of fate and determination which are extremely important themes in JoJo universe
I love seeing people’s impressions as they get into the series so much. Stellar stuff, and I think you’d love Purple Haze Feedback and some of the other spin-offs.
Great video! I agree pretty much with everything you said, but I cant agree with your statement about part 5 ending. It wasnt just a random flashback. You just didnt understand the ending. Although I can understand why this ending feels strange. Because after watching the first 4 parts you get used to epic and bombastic endings, thats why this one might feel strange and out of place. But if you understand the ending, you will see that it has its own beauty that the previous endings didnt have
yeah i definitely get what ur saying, i just think the flashback specifically could have been placed somewhere else, it was weird to have it half way through episode 38 and then half of 39 was also the flashback, like it was somewhere else in the manga
if you want to know about Fugo's whereabouts post part 5, I recommend reading the golden heart golden ring light novel, and afterwards the Shameless Purple haze (but it can also be read as a stand-alone)
The flashback at the end of part 5 initially really doesnt make sense, but when you realize that its showing the viewer the importance of fate in the jojo's universe it starts to really fit into the bigger theme of part 5, especially if you rewatch the part with that understanding
I’ve heard that the manga version of part 3 is way faster paced (it’s got less chapters than phantom blood from what I remember) but I completely agree with you, though it is a pretty good way to introduce stands into the story
On Wattpad I wrote one of the most ambitious Jojo fanfictions called Reimi's Bizarre Adventure: Pink Justice. It's about Reimi going back in time to the night she died & changing the future. While in Heaven she was given a Stand & the knowledge to use Hamon when she got back. It eventually revisits the events of Stardust Crusaders & by the end of the story she helps unify the largest alliance of Jojo heroes.
Part 5 made me cry, even the end, and that pre giorno series of episodes, it showed that they were meant to die, they were destined to (I’m not gonna specify bc spoilers for others)
I literally just watched part 6 front to back in one week and I was sobbing at that ending. poor emporio has to live eternally with no one remembering him
now finish part 6, read 7 and 8, catch up to the 9 and then you'll love it much much more, they are the best parts (btw I closed the video at "pt3 worst part")
If you want more development of Fugo, who's one of my favourite characters and imo has the coolest stand, you should really read the Purple Haze Feedback novel. It's short but a pretty fun read and while it's not technically canon, I like to think of it as such, as there's not really anything that disputes it other than a few minor details of Fugo's backstory.
Part 3 is great... minimum 8/10, its funny and has the strongest cast, really strong villain, the best music and fights in the series etc the issue is the the manga isnt actually the longest im pretty sure part 4 has a longer manga, but instead of pacing it like the other parts they made it slightly slower but its cool filled with so much stuff funny moments imo some of the coldest stands in the whole show and more, and also the deaths were really sad too
Dude you deserve more subs this video was really good and I definitely agree about part 3, the pros are really strong but the negatives are prevalent throughout the whole part and the pacing is not good. In the last 8 or so episodes the fights are so peak that in my opinion it makes up for the rest of it and puts it above part 1 for me but I totally understand your takes. (Also I'm looking forward to your video on part 6 especially the ending)
See fugo is one of my favorite characters in JoJo's period that is because what it was done with him because if you just read the mainline story, you won't really know the full thing. Originally, Araki planned fugo to betray the rest of the group but due to Iraqi going through a hard time, he ended up just writing fuga off leaving because he didn't want to feel betrayed by the characters who felt like his family at the time and due to works from fans and other things that Iraqi has signed off as essentially Canon to the story with purple Haze feedback being an amazing story and I believe there's one other that also comes to that adding to fugo's character, I think it makes fuga one of my favorite characters and I honestly think you should check out and read purple Haze feedback since you're loving Jojos
Yeah that’s actually cool, cause I was just confused why fugo never came back, but that explanation is very satisfying, as one of the main reasons this series is so good is because u can tell how much araki cares about the characters
Fun fact about the architecture: Araki puts a lot of effort in making it as realistic as possible. in one of his previous works, there was a train scene, that took place in a real life place, however aspects were changed to fit some plot elements. Arak, I believe, got people commenting on how the tracks were different and other stuff I don’t remember. This motivated Araki to make an apology as well as make sure all locations based on real life are as accurate as possible.
Someone else probably already said it here, but with regards to part 3's length, in the manga, part 3 is actually shorter than part 5 and 6. Part 3 is 152 chapters, whereas 5 and 6 are 155 and 158 chapters respectively. Part 4 is actually the longest of parts 1-6, being 174 chapters long. The anime likely still was figuring out how to pace parts since part 3 was still a significant jump up in length from 2 and 3. The anime actually condensed part 4, particularly the July 15th segment of the story. Btw for parts 7 and 8, they have less chapters, but after ch 23, the series moved from Weekly Shonen Jump to the monthly release of Ultra Jump, and with that change each chapter became about twice as long, so parts 7 and 8 are the longest.
15:18 and I’m absolutely rocking to chase, it’s literally my favorite intro possibly ever (unless you’re talking about ghibli films but that’s beside the point because ghibli films are just pure excellence)
You’ve GOT to read part 7 Like not only because of the amazing story and characters BUT BECAUSE OF THE ART Araki’s artstyle in the manga is SO AMAZING, his illustrations are actually insane
Fugo does come back technically during the chariot requiem scene and he also has his own spin off novel named “Purple haze feedback” which is a really good book you should give a try
Im reading part 7 after a year of putting it off because I didn’t wanna have to watch an English dub audio book online, I thought that it wouldn’t be as expressive and exciting. Boy was I wrong…
I don't like anime, so when my partner forced me to watch JoJo I found it to be pretty good. I really liked Jonathan being the peak good guy because I kinda feel like the deconstructed multi-faceted anti-hero has become an exhausted stereotype, so having this Victorian gentleman hero was actually really refreshing for me personally. Also Part 3 dragging on makes a little more sense when you realise that it was originally intended to be the end. Also having the Part 5 crew being fashionable twinks is really funny when you consider that Araki wanted a female lead for Part 5 but his editor talked him out of it (he of course ended up making Jolyne in Part 6). The big issue I have with the series is the naked children. Like I get it, having a villain menace over a vulnerable child is a good way of saying "Hey, this guy is evil" (especially with the pedophile orang-utan who can't talk) but it really, really skeeved me out. A big reason why I don't like anime is it tends to have these really bizarre sometimes gross sexual undertones to even innocent stories (e.g. the utterly unnecessary panties shots in 'My Neighbour Totoro'). Especially Emporio's nudity in Part 6 (literally no reason why) and of course poor Lucy in Part 7... Overall I'd say 7/10 its pretty good Part 4 is best purely on 90's nostalgia & using Savage Garden for the credits
I was confused when you said 5 parts until I realised parts 1 and 2 are crammed together because the former only had 8 episodes and part 2 is the last time Hamon and vampires were the main focus
17:12 btw second is fighting gold, and very very close behind it is either bloody stream or the second part 5 op... oh wait I just remembered the chainsaw man op, that has to go somewhere just due to the cinematography, still lower than chase though
I can see why part 3 is less enjoyable for you but the cast of characters was just so much fun and the fights start getting really good the main problem for me was all the 2 part episodes most stand fights could be 1 episode which would have made it feel less long.
Fugo was actually supposed to come back as a traitor, but he Araki couldn't bring himself to do it, so I think that's possibly why purple haze feedback exists, which I haven't read, I just know the plot
Fugo never returns for a very good reason. He was actually planned to backstab his friends and return as an enemy that the main cast would have to kill in battle, but Araki was going through a really depressing time back then, so he cut that part entirely.
part 5 is imo the best part because it somehow mixes the bizzare nature of jojos with subtleties so extreme its next to impossible to pick up on with just one watch. Part 4 is my favorite becuase it does the same thing, but as you said jojos itself is art, and I think part 5 does a better job of being that art. every character is so well written, the first time i watched part 5 i hated when fugo stayed behind because i really liked him, i thought it was a dumb way of just getting rid of someone, but after watching it again i realized he kind of had to go. infact if he didnt it would have made less sense. Fugo is extremely smart, and i think the only person whos iq is stated. and right up until buccarati takes trish to the boss, they are all working for the boss. they all know they have the most powerful man in italy backing them if anything were to happen, giving them a strong sense of security. when buccarati tells everyone theyre now traitors if they step on the boat, nobody even thinks abt going at first. Over some random girl? Who cares? Nobody above room temp iq would even consider betraying the boss, that is until buccarati and giorno convince them with their ''unwavering resolve''. Mista's js the goat so ofc he got on and lived, despite ''dying'' like 4 times. Abbacchio, may he rest in peace, got his redemption and resolution to his story. narancia was such a good death too because throughout the whole story he was constantly improving and growing, just to get the quickest death in jojos all to prove the point that Diavolo is fucking scary. Abbacchios death sets the tone of ''oh shit its happening'', but narancias death really put into perspective how fucked they actually were, especially after the immense win against secco and cioccolata. anyway, back to my boy fugo, as the smartest person in the group he knows a couple things. 1. He doesnt want to die, and if he was to go agains the boss, lets be honest, rip my mans. and 2. while yes, man in the mirror separates the stand from its user, it is only stated that fugo has ''more'' control of his stand usually, and not full. This is because his stand represents a lot of pain bottled up in fugo. he has anger issues and despite trying to control them, he fails, and takes it out on those around him when things get to him. this is also why his stands ability effects everything. basically, because of his issues and his power itself, he is a liability to the team. (ps it breaks my heart why his stand is obsessed with being clean, i thought it was just a goofy trait at first). to sum up, he would probably die, and if he didnt he would probably hurt his team. TLDR: fugo stayed behind bc hes smart. watch part 5 again bc holy shit its peak.
oh i forgot, you asked why koichi was there. the whole point was just to transition to part 5 and show who giorno is basically. koichi went because jotaro heard rumors of giorno being dios son. koichi went to get hair i think to test if he was, i forgot how, but it was confirmed giorno is dios son, jotaro told koichi to gtfo, but then found giornos a non threat and actually js a good guy trying to stop drugs getting sold in italy.
Correction: It's not the anime that change Stands (and every other copyrighted material) names but it was the Western(?) Localization because in my country it used its original name... until Netflix just made everything localized. Also, idk why you nitpicking a cameo's appearance because Koichi's purpose is already fulfilled in the beginning.

Part 3 is great... minimum 8/10, its funny and has the strongest cast, really strong villain, the best music and fights in the series etc the issue is the the manga isnt actually the longest im pretty sure part 4 has a longer manga, but instead of pacing it like the other parts they made it slightly slower but its cool filled with so much stuff funny moments imo some of the coldest stands in the whole show and more, and also the deaths were really sad too
Agreed
Dude you deserve more subs this video was really good and I definitely agree about part 3, the pros are really strong but the negatives are prevalent throughout the whole part and the pacing is not good. In the last 8 or so episodes the fights are so peak that in my opinion it makes up for the rest of it and puts it above part 1 for me but I totally understand your takes. (Also I'm looking forward to your video on part 6 especially the ending)
Thank u for the support, and I’ll definitely be getting that video out asap
Yeah that’s actually cool, cause I was just confused why fugo never came back, but that explanation is very satisfying, as one of the main reasons this series is so good is because u can tell how much araki cares about the characters
part 7 is PEAK have fun reading it :)
JJBA, the anime that has everything as a reference, a masterpiece...
Yesssss
even after watching part 4, you still think Ceasar is the best JoBro? that's crazy
Fun fact about the architecture:
Araki puts a lot of effort in making it as realistic as possible. in one of his previous works, there was a train scene, that took place in a real life place, however aspects were changed to fit some plot elements. Arak, I believe, got people commenting on how the tracks were different and other stuff I don’t remember. This motivated Araki to make an apology as well as make sure all locations based on real life are as accurate as possible.
Do part 6
Dude thank god, I’m reading part 7 right now and loving it, I’m only like 15 chapters in but I was so sad it was only 90 chapters
15:18 and I’m absolutely rocking to chase, it’s literally my favorite intro possibly ever (unless you’re talking about ghibli films but that’s beside the point because ghibli films are just pure excellence)
Great video man
calling part 3 boring and repetitive for the same things that happen in every other parts is blatantly stupid tbh
Ima re-watch Jojo ( again)
You should try dorohedoro I have it in my top 3 with jjba
You forgot about part 6
You still need to watch Stone Ocean, im also curious what you think about SBR
Part 7 is literally top 2 rated manga behind berserk itself but you could read it online if you want because it's legit absolute peak fiction
"So this means that the world and star platinum are the same type of stand"
You’ve GOT to read part 7
Like not only because of the amazing story and characters
BUT BECAUSE OF THE ART
Araki’s artstyle in the manga is SO AMAZING, his illustrations are actually insane
You aint ready for part 7 and 8 they the best in my opinion
That’s so hype, I’ve heard the best things about p.7
@ yeah i like part 8 more but most people say 7 is the best one
Part one is like one of my top three favorite JoJo parts and I’m glad someone finally understand It’s not Boring because of not having the stands
Fugo does come back technically during the chariot requiem scene and he also has his own spin off novel named “Purple haze feedback” which is a really good book you should give a try
Maybe you could even read dios book about heaven
If you liked the previous 5, then the ending of part 6 WILL make you cry.
Part five is my absolute favorite. It's just so good.
Peak
Bro did not want for six yet he did is gonna be even more surprising 3:47
Finally someone who understands. Jojos isnt a cheap form of entertainment. It is a delicate handmade piece of art made with love and care.
Underrated channel
I appreciate that 🙏🙏
I can see why part 3 is less enjoyable for you but the cast of characters was just so much fun and the fights start getting really good the main problem for me was all the 2 part episodes most stand fights could be 1 episode which would have made it feel less long.
True
Fugo was actually supposed to come back as a traitor, but he Araki couldn't bring himself to do it, so I think that's possibly why purple haze feedback exists, which I haven't read, I just know the plot
Just a bit of a note higashikata is said a bit more like He-gah-shh-ka-ta (at least in the japanese version)
You didn't mention Daddywagon he the real mvp in Jojo
Fugo never returns for a very good reason. He was actually planned to backstab his friends and return as an enemy that the main cast would have to kill in battle, but Araki was going through a really depressing time back then, so he cut that part entirely.
part 7 easily clears anything mentioned iin this video btw
part 5 is imo the best part because it somehow mixes the bizzare nature of jojos with subtleties so extreme its next to impossible to pick up on with just one watch.
Just wait when bro is about to summon his stand
Correction: It's not the anime that change Stands (and every other copyrighted material) names but it was the Western(?) Localization because in my country it used its original name... until Netflix just made everything localized. Also, idk why you nitpicking a cameo's appearance because Koichi's purpose is already fulfilled in the beginning.
I wish i could forget this show so i could watch it again it was so good😭
3:06 song ?
^^
Bro kakyoin is a smash
I’ll allow it
Part 3 is peak best group best story best final fight
“what was the point of even spending time with koichi and fugo” brother😭😭😭
That was just a small nitpick, and now that I know why Fugo never came back, if I were to make this video now I’d probably just leave that point out
And music goddamn slaps the dub vc did a great job too
What about part 6?
6:17 wait till part 7 my friend
This whole video is equivalent to the time of 1 episode of jojo's
This video makes me feel I’ve gone back to 2017-18 cuh 😭
peak show
