    This Tiramisu recipe is truly impressive! I love how it manages to be deliciously indulgent while also being free from dairy, grains, and refined sugar. The presentation is spot on, and the layers look so tempting.
    The use of alternative ingredients showcases creativity, making this dessert accessible to those with dietary restrictions without compromising on taste. The step-by-step instructions make it seem achievable for even those with limited baking skills.
    The video quality and editing are well-done, allowing viewers to follow along easily. The close-up shots of each layer being assembled add a nice touch, making it visually appealing.
    I appreciate the emphasis on healthy ingredients without sacrificing the essence of a classic Tiramisu. It's great to see a recipe that caters to a variety of dietary preferences. Overall, a fantastic video that not only inspires but also educates on how to make a delightful treat with a health-conscious twist.

    Pro tip- you can sub any white bean (cannellini work great!) for the cashews in any WFPB recipe. Its a 1:1 ratio (eg 1/3 c cashews= 1/3 c white beans.) It's cheaper And lower fat- wins all around!! (*But the beans are cooked, ofc, so it wouldnt still be a raw dish, if that's important to you.)

    • @NutritionRefined
      @NutritionRefined  10 месяцев назад +2

      That's a great tip!! I heard about substituting cashews for white beans but never tried it. I bet it would be similar to black bean brownies. If you get a chance, it would be wonderful if you could copy and paste your comment on my blog under the recipe (nutritionrefined.com/raw-tiramisu/), so other people would know about it. Thank you so much!

      Thank you so much! I transferred the cream into a piping bag and let it chill. Then, I piped it (without any piping tip). I play around with recipe all the time. With this one, you kind of have to learn how quickly the cream begins to firm up in the fridge. If it gets too stiff, you won't be able to pipe (but in that case, you can just leave at room temperature until it softens again. Let me know if you have any questions :)

      I think a nut-free version would be doable, using seeds instead of nuts (or even oats if not grain-free). The cream would likely be a challenge because it would either have to be all coconut or - if you were fine with soy - silken tofu... you might need to click the bell to get notifications :) Thank you so much for your support!

You would also half the ladyfinger ingredients (since the printable recipe uses the ladyfingers as both the bottom and the middle layers). Please let me know if you have any questions.

    I understand why espresso powder is not raw (it's roasted) but how come maple syrup is considered raw (which is boiled)?

    • @NutritionRefined
      @NutritionRefined  10 месяцев назад +1

      A great question! You're right - maple syrup is technically not a raw ingredient. However, because it’s minimally processed and most of the nutrients are still intact, it’s used in raw desserts quite a bit. If you’re on a strict raw food diet, you can always replace maple syrup with agave syrup.

      A great question. What is being sold as “raw cacao” is fermented and either not roasted at all or roasted below 118°F/48°C. Some manufacturers also use adapted methods of grinding, pressing, and milling to keep temperatures as low as possible at each step. Unroasted cacao is then used to make raw chocolate.

    It has no dairy, but it has oil...

      You could possibly omit the oil is you use thick coconut cream. I used homemade coconut cream, which doesn't solidify as much, but if you use canned coconut cream, the recipe should work even without the coconut oil.

    This cant be called a tiramisu. Lets stop arbitrarily naming things what they are not.

    I'm a carnivore so this is not for me... even if it looks delicious 😊. Anyway as an Italian I have to point out that tiramisu (apart from ladifingers) is a raw dessert.

      Thank you for the kind comment, Debbie! Yes, I know that Tiramisu is not cooked or baked, but since the ladyfingers are not raw, I thought I would mention that this recipe is truly raw. I also read that nowadays, many tiramisu recipes use heavy cream instead of raw egg whites. Heavy cream is typically pasteurized and homogenized to kill harmful bacteria and increase its shelf life, so that would be another "not raw" ingredient. I assume that authentic Italian tiramisu recipes always use egg whites, so heavy cream would likely not be an issue, though. I love learning about recipes, so thank you once again for the comment!

      As an Italian, you sure don't know the meaning of 'raw'

      @@Amelia-qm6bk I followed the channel before you probably, it comes up in my newsfeed. And I read the description...
      So I commented, maybe if you read that too you wouldn't be wasting my time and yours with this question.

      @@silentbliss7666 of course I do.
      Raw means uncooked , unrefined and crude.
      I can teach English to foreigners with my Cambridge Certificate.
      We use raw eggs for tiramisu. We eat raw meat and fish and shellfish...
      So please, shush. 🤫
