Homemade Larabars are a great alternative to classic energy bars or protein bars. They are soft, chewy, and definitely dessert-like. Made with just a handful of wholesome ingredients, Larabars are not only raw but also vegan (dairy-free, egg-free), grain-free (gluten-free), soy-free, and refined sugar-free.
These protein bars make a healthy to-go breakfast or a great snack to pack in lunchboxes.

I'm very bad at making stuff, my hands are use to mechanical work, woodworking, but the way you explain the steps, the background music, I'm like a chef dominating it's kitchen. Great video

I loved these recipes and will try them asap. I recently prepared your buckwheat granola and it is delicious. I highly recommend it. Thank You Petra so much 🥰
Aw, thank you so much, Grazia! That makes me so happy! If you ever get a chance to leave a comment/feedback on my blog, under the recipe (nutritionrefined.com/buckwheat-granola/), that would be amazing!!
The unsolicited food review at the end was great. Felt like Energy Bar Lady was getting frustrated. Great tension! Good stuff! Oh also the recipes are pretty good too.
Haha, love it! I am glad you like the recipes.
Thank you so much. Really. Much love and light to you 😻💚
Thank you, Lucho!
Hi there! J'adore vos recettes !! Love your recipes, another delicious one, thank you ❤
Merci beaucoup! :)
Looks delicious! I've yet to find a protein bar recipe that really works but this looks like it'll be the one!
Hope you love it! :)
Love it! These look so good!
Thank you, Andrew!! :)
Very nice video thank you- i have tried many times in the past but failed. I need a food processor💡! How to coat them with dark chocolate which isn't melty so i can carry them to work?
I absolutelly LOVE your calm feminine energy, Petra!
Thanks so much, Mike! :)
Iara bars have recently become my go to and I was just contemplating how to make them and make them high protein, so you are spot on! Can I make them with a Vitamix (don't have a food processor). And how long do they need to dehydrate for? Thanks
Hi Laurie - I haven't tried making these bars in a Vitamix blender. It might work, the blender is definitely going to be struggling. What might help is if you soak the dates ahead of time. You can dehydrate the Larabars at 115°F/46°C until dry to the touch, for a couple of hours.
Any ideas on how to pack/wrap these up like commercial bars for travelling? Paper, plastic ?
You can do either or.
Nice!
Thank you! :)
We love you.
Do you have a dehydrator and if yes what recipes do you do on them?
I do have a dehydrator. I use it for raw crackers, fruit leather, snack bars, veggie chips... I experiment a lot in the kitchen, so I have also made bread in the dehydrator and most recently a cake.
@@NutritionRefined any plans on sharing those on RUclips with us, pretty please? Thank you! 🙏🏼
Merci pour toutes vos recettes ! 🙏
Je suis juste un peu déçu de pas avoir entendu le "and that's it" à la fin. I missed the "and that's it" at the end of the recipes😉
Lol, I actually did say it at 6:40 ;)
@@NutritionRefined Ah ouiii ! Sorry 😅
I do prefer hard nuts instead of soft nuts
I’m new to your page. I bought all the ingredients needed for these protein bars, but I don’t see any specific measurements. Can someone help??
HI Diane - the recipe is on my blog, in the recipe box: nutritionrefined.com/homemade-larabars/
I read it's healthier to peel the almonds before eating or using them in a recipe. Is it true?
It depends. Almond skins are rich in fiber and antioxidants (mainly due to polyphenols),. However, the skins also contain tannins, which can prevent absorption of nutrients, and they're also harder to digest. So, it depends on what you're looking for.
@@NutritionRefined Thank you! 💗
Great recipe! I'll try it 😀
@@NutritionRefined Why not pre-soak and rinse the nuts to reduce the tannin?
Hmmmm..... I cannot eat walnuts or pecans. But everyone uses them for their magnificent properties. Have you any recipes without them? Any substitutes?
Sure! You could actually substitute any nut. Walnuts and pecans are soft nuts, so if you wanted to go with soft nuts, cashews would be an ideal substitute. However, almonds or hazelnuts (both are hard nuts) would work just fine too. You could even use sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds.
Do we need to put them in the fridge??
If you're not dehydrating the bars, yes, keep them in the fridge.
Looking forward to trying these bars . Can you please tell me where you buy your watermelon seeds for you protein powder recipe
hewwo you have the voice of an angel:)
Aw, thank you so much!!
Are these keto free?
If you mean keto-friendly, no, they aren't.
@@NutritionRefined thanks. Not sure why I said keto free 🤔.
Do you have keto friendly protein bar recipes.
Lol, no worries. Unfortunately, no. Not yet
They look delicious butvI would call them Petrabars.😊
These dried fruits and the dates raise your glycemic index the same as processed sugar. Just eat raw nuts, can keep in baggies in car, purse or backpack, etc.
..no muss or fuss and no raised blood pressure.
Beautiful! Jesus Bless You
Thank you!
Tanner is very priviliged husband
Haha, agreed! :-D
He deserves it.
What does your husband do for a living? He is very articulate.
He works with autistic children (social work)
@@NutritionRefined indeed he looks very calm and patient. Kudos to you two. I can't believe you don't have more subscribers with the content you put out for us. I always push a like on your videos. All the best forward!
Just tried this recipe and I wasn't able to lift it up after rolling it like you did. Less water with my ingredients perhaps?
Thank you so much!
Did you allow the bars solidify in the freezer for a little bit? You either need to dehydrate the bars or chill them.
Adding chocolate would have been better,
