In my country, Malaysia, we make ice cream with coconut milk corn, green bean, red bean, black glutinous rice, it's really awesome. We enjoyed it since childhood and it's easy to prepare..❤
I have made this 3 times now and I used powdered swerve in the place of maple syrup. My whole family, including my junk food carnivore loving family LOVE this ice cream! Thank you sooo much!
Hey Kiddo. FYI, I found out by accident I can substitute one or two Tablespoons of organic "coconut butter" to my can of full fat coconut milk, in butter, cheese, and ice cream recipes, and I don't need cashews. It sets up in the refrig. This combo makes fantastic vegan butter. Take care.
@@NutritionRefined Wow. Thank you. You are very kind. I am just an ugly old man who stutters and drools and sleeps till 10. Who is going to watch me? @@colinkelley6493 I'd personally say you can't replicate what you communicate through a video on a website. Also, people tend to watch and not read. Plus you'll need to learn some things about posting on a website, while YT is fairly simple to understand. The biggest drawback is you wouldn't be visible on Google because it's a game of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) there, but YT will let people subscribe to you and they'll get notifications whenever you upload something you like
Loved it. Last month or so to enjoy the ice cream. Also Petra, I was wondering if you have some recipes with Beetroots. Sweet or savory....anything. Would love it.
The reason full-fat coconut milk works so well here is that it's high in fat. If you use other plant-based milk, the ice cream will probably be icier. Is there a reason you want to substitute coconut milk? You don't need to use canned coconut milk. You can use fresh coconut cream/milk made from fresh coconuts (I have a video on this channel showing the process). If you're worried about the coconut flavor, you could try using homemade cashew cream/cashew milk, which is perhaps the creamiest alternative.
Looks delicious! I wonder if there's a rich vegan ice-cream we can make that doesn't contain coconut or any nuts as my granddaughter who has dairy and coconut allergies, can't have this version obviously. So hard to find a commercial vegan ice-cream without coconut and I'd rather make my own without all the processed stuff.
Hmm, removing both nuts and coconut is tricky. However, I have made churned chocolate ice cream with barista-style oat milk (+ cocoa powder, coconut sugar, and melted chocolate) and it worked. I have never tried it a vanilla version, though. I can email you the recipe if you'd like. (Don't share your email here on RUclips. If you leave a comment/request on my blog under any recipe, I will be able to see your email and email you).
Cold but warm does not describe the flavor. 🙄Delicious is a great word to describe food. Sweet with a hint of maple not too sweet creamy smooth and yummy delightful satisfying idk gosh! Technical the first flavor u taste well most people taste the whole thing we can distinguish different nuance's but the main thing is does it taste good? Not well it's cold and warm and nutty with some maple. We c what's in the recipe, we can't however determine if it is scrumptious or yucky lol I have always enjoyed your video's and all of your recipes r so on point and look so elevated. I just wish the description of the flavor was a little more descriptive, we r not always wanting a comparison to the original item we r interested is it so delectable that our palettes will say yesssss! I hope I didn't offend anyone. Your husband seams like a sweet person and he is gracious enough to b your guinea pig lol so we appreciate him.

Does it taste like milk based ice-cream? I made a banana based ice cream at home but it had a distinct taste that I'd never seen before

Not offensive at all. Constructive criticism is always welcomed :)
Hi, thank you. How much saturated fat per serving? That’s a lot of coconuts in there.
In all the recipes
Looks so good, but how do you make it without the cashews ?
You could try substituting the cashews for a different neutral nut, such as blanched almonds or even macadamia nuts.
Your recipes look delicious and nutritious, but I can’t make them because you don’t show the quantities used. I’m not good at guessing. :(

at 0:11 I thought it's truly cashew based, but it isn't 😐 as there is a coconut product added which i can't stand
Ice creme
It's a pity that the measurement is not added.
I am autistic and absoulutely HATE the taste of coconut so I really do hope it doesn't taste like coconut just like your husband said
'promo sm' ☝️
Cashews are the worst nuts ever 😢
You could possibly substitute them for another neutral nut, such as macadamia nuts or blanched almonds.
