Happy for you Matt! Glad you love it!
Hi Tj!
Thanks TJ!
Maquires
Does the cruise control still work or is it disabled
Holy crap that torque gain! #GAINZ Great review man
Glad you did the Cobb tuner. I think it's the best bang for your buck. A guy at my local meet installed that and a new intake and on the dyno it makes 355hp
so excited to order the Cobb, I have a 2015 ecoboost stang, and this made my decision, thanks brother, keep up the great Work!
@Justin Ruehl wondering the same
@Justin Ruehl just looked at hos profile. He has a GT now :(
Oh how far you've come in these past 4 years brother 💪 Keep going strong man, you're one of the key inspirations for me and my channel 🤙
when you do 0-60 use the launch control feature that comes with the cobb accsessport.
Love the EcoBoost tech. They love to be tuned an respond really well. I'm sold! Thanks for info. #Ecoboost #Mustang
Super cool to see a before and after of a Cobb tune. You can always tell when there's even a slight change in the way your personal vehicle drives, so I whole heartedly believe you would've easily noticed something was different about your car had you not known it got tuned haha. I never really watched your ecoboost content too much, but it's dope that you own a Bullitt these days 🤙
How was your mpg after the tune?
A Cobb tuned performance pack ecoboost Mustang is now the best buy at around 30k for an all around usable performance car in my mind. Even more so than the Subaru WRX in my mind because of the better styling, rear drive antics, and the greater horsepower and torque.
Couldn't agree more.
time for you to meet ThatDudeinBlue at a drag strip and see how small the performance gap is between the little 4 cyl and the big v8!!
The V8 would still beat him by 3 cars length
+IMxYOURxDADDY don't think he would have a chance in hell at beating thatdudeinblue anymore his mustang is now pro charged
so awesome to hear how much you love the Cobb Accessport and how much extra power it has provided to your Mustang! now you need to get a better set of tires to handle the new power.
Your reactions never get old man. Love the content and will most likely be picking up a cobbAP in the future :)
His reactions is priceless =)
subaruwrxfan Sweet Matt! Glad your enjoying it! Who knows what it would be like with more hp, but im sure your not worried about that with your wedding and all that!
Congrats again on the house and wedding!
Have a good week!
Thanks Damien, I appreciate it! You have a good week too!
subaruwrxfan Your Welcome Matt!! Luckily my town missed getting hit by a tornado! We saw what looked like one near our house, but in the sky! Its scary thinking everything in your house can just be gone! But in all my 14 years in the area ive lived in tornadoes never hit us Luckily! And lucky enough we have a concrete storm shelter!
Stay Safe Matt! Who knows what the next thing to happen will be weather wise in this world, since July 1st brought Tornadoes near me, and July 6th did too! I have truly just learned to appreciate what I have and not take anything for granted, since one day they could all fly away
Damien Fraser Wow that's crazy, you stay safe too! Yeah, it's always good to be grateful and not take anything for granted.
subaruwrxfan Yep it was crazy and yes it is! And if something did happen, id still have myself and my health to be happy about!
+subaruwrxfan will this void my factory warranty
I'm a service adviser at ford in Maryland. And now that you put that tune on no matter what you do they can tell even if you re flash stock maps back
True!... He's screwed if anything happens and he needs service done. He has voided his factory warranty now.
They have to prove the " invisible " tune broke the car...
That’s true cdhrusso72, federal law says manufacturers have to prove the mod caused the damage. Otherwise the warranty is good.
Man Matt, the Cobb tune makes your car sound like my 3.6R and a WRX engines combined !!!!
How many times can you flash your vehicle before it locks out?
That's actually a lot more impressive than I thought it was going to be. I've always been a bit skeptical of some tunes, but this one looks like a winner. Have fun with it!
Thanks Matt I just bought it for my gt-r today. Thank for the review it helped my alot, and I can't wait to use it
Stanley Perez Congrats, have fun! I can't imagine how much crazier it would make a GT-R! Glad the video helped!
i keep watching these eco boost vids and am really liking what ford has done to this mustang. might be looking for one my self soon!
Thank you so much for your video. I am unfamiliar with this type of tuning as I was raised on 60's cars. Great Video and very helpful.
do a video showing the launch control and burn out functions
Thinking of getting the accessport for our 2015 Ecoboost. Do the custom maps affect the factory driving modes? Also I've been hearing from a lot of experienced tuners that you should combine this with a aftermarket inter cooler.
How confident are you in the stock intercooler running on this tune? I feel like if I buy the accessport, I would also need a new intercooler. Your thoughts?
you would need to
Two things you have to do now, do a burn out and a launch when its dry and as well go to the strip with ThatDudeinBlue and race the big v8 and see how well the turbo 4 holds up!
I, too, am curious about the Cruise Control once this is installed. They still work, right? I live on my CC to stay out of trouble. :-)
Yep it still works!
subaruwrxfan Guess I should refine my query. Does the cruise work with the Tuner plugged in? I've read where you can change tunes on the fly. Example would be in Economy mode for long trips but switch to the Power tune for passing.
Scott Thomas you can change tunes on the fly without the tuner being plugged in. But yeah, cruise control always works still.
subaruwrxfan Thank you for the clarification. Will you also be trying the Ford Tuner when it's available?
Fatboy66 Fatboy66 Do you speak English?
what happens to the drive modes? (Normal/Sport/Track/Rain) Will those still be available?
Wow they include a ton of features with that tune! I had an APR Tune on my Audi A4 and could change programs with cruise but didn't come with access port and those other modes. It did have 100 oct tune though, does that? I know a station that has it if you want to try it :)
At 8:34 is that the "natural" sound enhancement we've heard so much about? Still love the Mustang nonetheless. I drove an ecoboost for a few days not long ago and I had a blast.
I'm not sure why it sounds louder but I love it! Haha
Nice job ... how does the installation/re-flash impact the car's warranty?
Keep up with the Mustang Ecoboost videos. Love them and am seriously thinking of purchasing one in the recent future.
Checked out that LED sight you mentioned. Can't wait to get some for my Mazda
Is the cob tune the only thing that is not stock on your car or have you change the intercooler or turbos or both…? Thanks very much loved your video glad you’re enjoying the cob tune
Great review! Always get a kick out of your reactions to faster accelerating cars.
large intercooler for the next mod, its a must
can I use this while engine is on if you don't want the battery to die? what's the difference between 92 and 93 maps?
Man that grin when getting your eco boost tuned.. Great feeling haha
You should get some fatter tires as your next mod, i have 225s on my '99 bmw which is barely pushing 200hp.
Hashtag #GAINS Glad to see you enjoying that awesome car Matt.
I wonder how much HP this accessport adds. I'm debating between this and the WRX. I love the looks and speed of the mustang but I love the AWD of the WRX and the Subaru name.
The greatest thing about this then is the massive torque and the hp doesn't drop off after 5k rpm, with almost 70 hp difference at 6500 rpm
How did you do that on 8:30? Mine doesn’t do that
Great video!. I now have a better understanding of how the Cobb access port works. Nice job Matt!. Keep up the awesome job with your videos!.
You should also download there accesstuner race software as well.
Wats this
Nice Matt! Wonder if the Cobb will work for my 3.6R, all we have out here is 91 oct.
I'm getting mine tomorrow in the mail the only thing I'm nervous about is getting it dialed in to -1.00 could you expand on that for me bro
Which map are you running? There are 3 to choose from on the Cobb's website.
Does the Accessport improve gas mileage?
Do you think the extra power will necessitate a stronger clutch? I heard that a lot when I was in the VW GTI world.
Nice job! Your reaction from that 5 roll was great! Like always! Enjoy it!
Did u have any mods u had in the car before u installed the tune
Hello and welcome to under 301 club! This club is exclusive and exciting hence its recent popularity! We have cookies, pizza, burgers, cheese sticks, sparkling water and more! Feel free to join!
Damn! No beer.
The supplies where limited..... Feel free to bring some!
are you stupid?
Bad Omen Is you high?
Does it have to stay plugged in for everything to stay tuned/work?
Hey man ! Love your video. I just want to know if I tune the car, can I still use the Cruise control?
Will you be doing a video on the launch control?
Yep!
WOOO! should be good! :D
what does tuning ur car do to ur cars warranty ? cuz i really dont wanna void it considering i just got my 2019 like a month ago i love it
subaruwrxfan How do you set the different maps on the car's cruise control? or is that set automatically?
If the cruise control buttons change the maps on the accessport, do they still work for cruise control
Great video! Your reactions to the gas pedal in ALL of your videos is PRICELESS! I know the feeling.. Keep it up. ;)
What about your warranty? Are you worried about that at all with the accessport? I got one for my 14' sti but sent it back because since I got the extended warranty didn't wanna have to deal with that.
Glad you like the tune Matt.
Thought you said that you will include a 0-60 run
It's raining in the video
reese c rewatch the video entirely.
gaivoron You want to just summarize it for me? He even mentioned that he's not going to hit wot because of the rain
which tune in the market right now will give the Ecoboost the most horsepower?
+IMxYOURxDADDY Livernois ran a 12.69 1/4 mile with a 2015 Ecoboost with tune alone and new tires that is unbelievable.
+FoolishTuning Think I will get the Cobb though because I got the full bolt on kit from MA Performance which would be more compatible with this Cobb V3.
Matt, I realize this is an old video but I am looking at it because it is relevant to today's mustang.
If you ever do another video like this, how about doing a 0 to 60 before and after. Much better than just saying it feels stronger
I just got a 2017 mustang ecoboost and was wondering if vibration on the shift knob is normal.
Yeah your driving stick right
No that’s not normal my 16 does not move at all
Where did you buy it off of and where was it from?
Nice video! Any word on whether or not this tune will void your factory warranty? I've been holding off to see when ford racing is going to release their tune.
Thanks
I believe the dealer can still tell that you have altered the settings once they put it on their computer, even if you reset it back. Which will definitely void your warranty.
Do you lose your cruze control function? When you use this
No
Sounds a lot better! Were you expecting that?
i really am debating on whether or not i want to do this on my 2019 ecoboost....I have never owned a sports car before so I know nothing about Tunings or ECU's, so I need to reasearch a lot of stuff. My question is, do you lose the ability to use cruise control when you do this? Does your mpg improve? Were you driving in Sport mode or regular Drive? Does this have to stay plugged into the vehicle? Or do you just install the mapping and you cant just throw it in the glovebox or something.
should I get an access port? I have a 2015 sti, I'm writing about ringland failure.
do 0-60
Hey Matt! Quick question. I just purchased the accessport. I have a roush cold air intake and a muffler+resonator delete. Would the stage 2 tune be okay?
Did this mod voided your factory warranty?
So i would install the stage one if my car is stock? If i were to buy a intake and exhaust, would still use stage one or would I switch to stage two?? Need an answer ASAP
That big smile tells me how amazing this tune is :-) good job Cobb
subaruwrxfan Hi! First of all, thank you for your reviews! I have an EcoBoost ordered in Italy and it should arrive in a matter of days :)
I have a couple of questions for you:
1) have you already tried 0-60 with all the different selectable tunes of the Accessport? (a video on that would be wonderful!!!)
2) do you think that US maps will be alright for an EU spec Mustang?
Thanks in advance!
wow awesome review !!! Do you have to keep the Accessport plugged in at all times?
sdcaljoe Nope!
What is better, cob or bama for the S550 ecoboost premium MUSTANG. And what is the pros and cons.
Damn 80 ftlbs tq on stage 1! GAINZZZZ!
LETS GOOOO....Get you some of that ford powa son !!!!
I may have missed it but doing this tune with the access port, will it give line lock on the ecoboost mustang 2015?
had full of people say that if you run the cobb tune for over a month, it’ll “blow up” your car. This sounds crazy but is it true? What do you think?
My Ecoboost isn't the performance pack and I've been 150 mph before on the autostrada with no tune. Speed limiter?
Hey there Matt r going to be in the NJ area anytime soon I have a sweet full bolt on 2015 SI that has 240 whp about 290-300 at the crank it's 165 whp 205bhp stock at 3,000lbs it's goes like stink
kamil grodzki I'm planning to make a trip to NJ and Philly in the early fall and will make a video once I have the dates finalized. Thanks for the offer! Sounds fun!
Haha against ur boosted SI no thxs
Hey man I love your videos!
Will you be upgrading the driveshaft? I know guys with V6s a few years ago ended up with broken driveshafts after they tuned their cars.
Jordan Pike the s550 has a very different platform than the s197 so far ecoboost community hasnt had issues with the driveshaft.. to soon to know...
People are running 500 hp on stock drivetrain with no issues yet. We'll see how long they last but at my power level I think it'll hold up fine.
How does this affect the car warranty wise?
i have a quick question fellas, does anyone know of a manufacture that makes a tuning map, for a 2002 lexus is300, i have looked everywhere and have found nothing. any informaion would be greatly appreciated. i wish ye the best of luck with your access-port, subaruwwrxfan, cobb makes great products so ye should not have any issues.
With naturally asperated cars, tune ups dont provide that much of a difference unless it is turbo or supercharged.
Taurean McDade really? Because i tuned my naturally aspirated k20 in my civic, and it made decent horsepower gains, nothing insane. But to me every bit counts. And im guessing ye have no idea where i can find one for an 02 is 300
Well yea i mean it does show gain in hp and torque but not by an amount that is really noticeable. Tunes are mainly for turbo cars to get the most performance out of them. But you should contact cobb to see what they can do or if they reccomend you to another tune
Brett O'Bryan. www.autoanything.com/performance-chips/60A4194A0A0.aspx this is the closest thing i could find. if anone can find something better message me, thanks lads
Please review the 2010 BMW 328i Coupe! Id really appreciate it!!
These are so much nicer than Hondata flashpros lol I hate having to haul a laptop out to do anything. Totally agree though, for most cars and especially turbo cars the first mod should always be a reflash, then reflash again as you add parts to get the most out of them.
I have a mustang ecoboost, the only thing I have one it is a Roush Cold Air Intake, can I still use the Cobb accessport I’ve never done a tune before
For Stage1, yes. But If you want to go stage 2 or 3, you need intercooler, downpipe, and Catback exhaust
I have one for my porsche but I'm selling it should I keep my accessport for another car will it work for a gtr I know i will need tunes for the new car but it so I don't have to buy a new port
So are you still on regular unleaded gas or do you change to premium with this tune?
Tesparza0218 I've always used only 93 in the car for the maximum performance.
subaruwrxfan where do you find 93? 91 is usually the highest.
see the funny thing about where I live is we have 87,89, and 93. dont have 91
subaruwrxfan what does the accessport do? I didnt catch that..
It monitors engine performance as well as load different maps to the ecu. It comes with Cobb off the shelf maps preloaded in it but you can also use it to load custom/pro tune maps to your car.
I currently run on 91 octane can i run the 91 tune with stock? no mods?
Can I use an accessport on my mk7 GTI to show car data? Like boost, rpm, air/fuel mixture, etc.
4 years later comment, why did you have to adjust it to -1?
what's your 0 to 60 time after the cobb tune ???
It has been raining a lot. When I can get a good run recorded I will.
subaruwrxfan thanks it would be interesting to compare stock vs. cobb tune times , with that tune the mustang now appears to be a bargain buy , when u consider its also the lightest Mustang as compared to the v6 and v8 , would make the perfect track car
How many miles do you have running on this tune?
