    I can’t thank Charles enough. I’m now at 24 months operating the NX2. It’s so damn fun. Was the last of all recommended mods for 93 Octane. WOW!!!! You have no idea how absolutely ridiculous fun it is! I get 40mpg at 65mph on a flat with the cruise control on. I have averaged 31.2mpg over these 24 months. Thanks for the absolutely brilliant product! And the HOWL it makes through catless MBRP race is 😎

    Charles, As you know, I purchased the Precision Turbo / Turbonetics NX 2 a while back from you folks. I also listened to your recommendations about the intercooler, waste gate, COBB, 3" downpipe, NGK Ruthenium plugs gapped to .0236, and the catch can. I run 91 Octane pump gas. I had the car tuned by Edge Motorsports in Englewood, CO. They are a COBB authorized tuner facility. They dyno tuned it. As you said in the video, with 91 Octane, I'm producing 354.1 hp at 5300 rpm and 376.4 ft. lb of Torque at the same rpm. BEFORE the upgrade my personal best ¼ mile time at Bandimere Speedway (track elevation 5800' ASL) was 13.29 seconds at 105.7 mph trap speed. At that time I had the intercooler upgrade and 3" downpipes with a CAI, stock turbo and a COBB State 2 OTS tune. I don't know what the pre-upgrade hp and torque were. Your video was a big help. Thank you for putting it out there. Our first track day here in CO will be April 9th weather permitting and another test and tune April 23rd/24th. I'll leet you know how it does. I also upgraded my tires to Mickey Thompson Street Comp 18" 255/45 R 18. The tires that came with the car, in a word, sucked.

      @FunctionFactoryPerformance  2 года назад +1

      Wow that DA is super high and trap speed is impressive. I'm sure with just a little meth that car will dip into the 12's with ease! Thanks for the detailed review and you're very welcome for the video.

    How much bigger is the nx2 vs the hpp turbo?

    • @natel4545
      @natel4545 Год назад

      I have an HPP the FP Turbo is 5% larger than the standard turbo but has a larger compressor than the NX2, but the turbine housing on the NX2 in addition to its efficiency makes a night and day difference. If you're contemplating between the two NX2 all the way. I got my HPP thinking the turbo would give me a small advantage and while its stock tune is 40% wider on a torque curve, it's simply not worth it. They are coming out with a 2024 next gen NX2 this year capable of 600+whpm I would honestly wait for that to come out and old prices will go down and then you can choose whichever one you want. The NX2 by itself won't do much. First mods should be catch can, intercooler (I went CVF Race, CVF TiAl CP's TS Raceport BOV) and then you definitely want a DP. I went CVF 3' Catted ($399). If you buy the NX2 install the TS 19psi WG before you bolt it on because your CP's and other connections will be in the way. My car comes with a quad exhaust and resonator delete and from what I know upgrading to catback/turboback exhaust doesn't gain you much power or many advantages and still sounds like shit. The tomei is a viable option only because you're reducing exhaust weight by over 100lbs. I would get a radium PCV baffle at that point and focus on reducing crankcase pressure. UPR also sells a crankcase breather that goes on your oil cap for $79.99. If you do the UPR DVCC by itself its $289 but with billlet check valves, magnetic drain plugs, clean side catcher, fully optioned out it's about $800. EMS is also selling Brisk plugs pre-gapped because the NGK ruthenium's are very firm and were a pain to get exact but they come at .30 so if you're gapping them there isn't too much to do.

    • @FunctionFactoryPerformance
      @FunctionFactoryPerformance  Год назад

      Almost 2x bigger. The HPP turbo is barely bigger than stock, and Ford wasted so much money retooling. Of course, without knowing the actual motive of what they switched, upgrading to the NX2 or BNR is the only choice.

      Unless you are willing to sign a contract, we do not recommend going this high on the stock block with this turbo. We recommend our Full-Race turbo kit with a larger turbo to ease cylinder pressure to achieve a higher horsepower on the stock block.
      To make this power safely on an NX2, you'll need a built EMS block with proper fueling or meth.
