I own a Neon and I am replacing the battery. Thank you for saving me time and frustration. I have en joyed my scooter and have ridden it almost 200 miles I am year and a half. Yesterday after riding it twice it failed to start and run. I did find that if I pushed it and pressed the power button it would give me error codes 2 and 13.

That's great to hear. I'm glad the video was useful to someone. Goodluck with your issue. It is the battery, you are in the right path.

Have you had any charging problems with their proprietary charger? I contacted okai and they no longer sell the charger. Currently have a $900 weight.

you seem to know your way around this scooter, I bought the same one but in Switzerland it is limited to 12 mph... Do you have a solution to remove the speed limiter ??

I don't know this for a fact, I've never tested my theory. But my theory is that the small blue wire that is attached to the middle of the circuit board on the speed controller is the speed sense wire. Not the big blue wire under there but the small blue wire. Clip it and see, if it was wrong, just put it back together. Roll back the grip tape from the front, remove the speed control unit, clip the small blue wire. If I'm correct, it will no longer know how fast it's going. You'll most likely lose your speedometer and possibly the front regenerative braking. Over here in the USA they are limited to 20mph, 12 is a selectable option. We just cycle through the speed options by double tapping the power button. Though I have never actually tested my theory. I can tell that it is capable of over 20mph because I feel the computer holding it back. So, don't be surprised if it goes stupid fast when unlimited

Thank you for the video. I just bought one and I am expecting it to arrive in the mail soon. What do you recommend I do? Return it, purchase another brand and stay away from this company? Get an extended warranty?

Yea. Thats a good question. And I'm not sure really. I had a problem and what shouldve been an easy resolution was a shit show. I think that the best path forward would be to buy it from Best buy and pay for the extended warranty. Then if you have problems you vould just return it to best buy and avoid dealing with the manufacturer. There was no way I was just going to be ok throwing away 900 bucks. So my own arguably immoral option was going to be. To buy another one from best buy and then put this junk in the box and return it for a full refund a week later. Sooo. Goodluck. I have repaired mine and it has been fine so far. Regardless, I had to go through to much for me to be ok with it.
