Love the sound with the straight pipes but a bit too loud for me, thinking about doing a res delete and x pipe, is it street legal to do that? I can’t find a clear cut answer online and I know states differ just wanted your insight. (I just got a 2011 C300)
Ryan Cormier i had the resonator delete and x pipes along with magnaflow racing mufflers on the set up i had before this. It is the first clip in the video. Personally it can never get loud enough for me but anyways yes it is legal. As long as it is past the catalytic convertor you can do whatever ud like from there. I help off on that for over a year thinking it was illegal but turns out its not and thats why everyone has it done
Not entirely true, it depends on where you live. Some states require a muffling device with 2 baffled chambers; those magnaflow mufflers do not meet that requirement. That said, almost all of the sound you're hearing in the first clips is actually from the x-pipe, not the mufflers. Mine sounds just about identical with stock mufflers (that do meet the 2 baffled chamber requirement) and just the x-pipe. You'll have to find out what the laws in your state are. The issue with these cars and aftermarket mufflers is that the recess where the mufflers sit under the car is very small and most aftermarket options are either not intended for street use, like the magnaflows, or are too large to fit in those recesses. Luckily, the stock mufflers are not the primary sound deadening device on the car. Fun fact: there are 2 more resonators behind the cats that can be removed for even more noise. They look like cats but they are after the O2 sensors and ar just resonators. They can be replaced with straight pipe. This is all only pertaining the the 3.5l V6 models; earlier C300's with the 3.0L may be different.
cummins24421 i just thought there were 2 sets of cats. Do you have pictures you could show me of those other resonators. Ill bring my car in asap if thats true
Do you mind telling me what things you put on your c300 for example your rear diffuser as well as straight pipe and stuff, as well as how much they costed? I'm trying to get stuff for mine and trick it out, but idk the cost of all that.
I have an x-pipe that’s been sitting in my truck for like 3 months and never got around to installing it, my plan is to chop off the 2nd converters and then replace the resonator with my x-pipe and then have it straight piped all the way back cuz I’m going to chop off the mufflers too
Dejan D no but i only straight piped from the cats back. Im going to cut the 2nd cats soon i should get any sensors then either. There are no o2 sensors on the 2nd cats
nice videos, i know it gets drony inside with 2008-2011 w204's but do you have drone with 3.5L 2012-2014 w204s? Also do you plan on taking 2nd cats out with xpipe and no mufflers?
Artyom Kim with the muffler and resonator delete already its extremely loud but i absolutely plan on cutting the 2nd cats once I can find a shop to do it for me. It can still get drony though but i honestly dont mind I love how loud it is

How do you put quad tips on a straight pipe you just weld it to the pipe ? Cuz usually the tips come off the muffler but if I chop my muffler off and add pipe I just weld them on then?
Ethan Grossmann in the descriptions if a few other videos i have some parts for my old mufflers and quad tips with x pipes. I still have them and waiting for someone to buy them off me. Mine was second cat delete, resonator delete, and muffler delete. No x-pipe. Sounds better without it. If you cut out the primaries you'll get error codes because there are o2 sensors connected to only the primaries and not the secondaries
