These mods are not about horsepower gains on top of the hp rated on this car (except for the tune). These mods are about keeping HP when your car needs it. I might make slightly more HP then stock Hp but it’s not a crazy amount. When a car heats up from driving, it loses a crapload of power. These mods are gonna help keep the hp the car came with. You can’t gain extra HP on top of your stock HP unless you force more air into the engine or aggressively tune the car. Both those things make this car super unreliable and I’m not all about that. If I wanted a crapload of power, I would of bought a c63 or another higher performance car. For this c250, you can only upgrade some parts to keep the car responsive versus being stock and sluggish after 10mins of driving. Also, all these upgrades will make the car ready to accept/support a larger turbo or a tune. Stock parts won’t cut it and will either maintain a lot of heat and/or prematurely wear. People run into issues when they try to make massive power with a tune or big turbo and they are running stock parts in the system. It’s still a fun car to mod and drive. I rather drive a slow car fast, then drive a fast car slow.
I've watched the video, which is great and really clarifying by the way, and I ran through the comments expecting to see the gains that you had with all these power mods and I realized that you didn't share the results in numbers, what at the end of the day is what matter most, in my opinion. I think that is pointless do all those effort, all those money without knowing how many whp or torque you won with it. Even because, by my own experience with turbo engines, there is some upgrades that can actually reduce your power (eg: when you push too much air and your cooling system is not efficient). But, again, is a great video and congrats for your project that is really really awesome bro! Hope too see some gains next time hahah

Did you have any major issues besides the power cutoff? i looked at one today and the engine had a slight vibration at idle. is that normal for these cars? i know there is cam shaft and chain issues. Tbh with u I have the same car as well If u keep up with maintenance it would be fine. Missfires can be a big issue with this car tho. I got mine at 100k miles it’s at 170 now only took it to the shop once

Not sure which duct you are referring. Every mod on my car in every single video i clearly mentioned what company is sponsoring the part, where the mod can be bought and I clearly say info is in the video description. Haven’t changed that format throughout my whole RUclips career.
@@TheFlexxGarage the duct tube where air comes in into the airbox. Yours look more stiffer and durable than my OEM one. I’ve already had to replaced mine twice because it fell apart.
@@anthonytran9488 buy some heat reflective tape and wrap it , also go to your local auto parts store and buy a exhaust repair kit which is pretty much some aluminum sheet metal and place in between your engine and air box and fold it over the air box like in a L shaped type and that will help alot !
They do different things and it comes down to what you need more. Do you want smoother shifts or you want more responsiveness outta the pedal? Me, personally, the pedal tune is the best bang for your buck mod that you can immediately feel a huge difference.

Flexx I have a 2014 MB C250 and I'm getting the P0068 code and can't find any problems. I was on a forum and saw back in 2018 you had the same code come up. What did you find to fix it?
I’ve actually answer this question many many many times on my sensor and throttle body video. I did a lot , turn my car back to stock, change the plugs, air filter, removed my pedal tune, changed all my sensors, cleaned my throttle bottle, rsmoke tested for leaks and nothing. The issue eventually went away by itself. I think it could be a glitch in software and the ECU might just need updated software. I was never able to find the reason. Car drove 100000% fine and I couldn’t pass emission cause of it.
Wow that stinks. I watched your videos. I actually just put in the tornado tuning metal air pipe and the turbo air tube's also with that I change the sensor in that air tube and the sensor just before the throttle body. I also cleaned the throttle body and relearned it. Cleared the code and it just comes right back within a couple of miles. The car runs fine (at least to me it does but I only own it for a month now and only put 1000 miles or so on it. I just don't know what to do anymore. Don't want to just throw new parts at it and it still won't fix the problem. Next thing I'm thinking is to get a new throttle body and see if that fixes the problem.

You just need to get it checked my a mechanic before buying. Have some money saved up for if it does fail. And do supporting mods before u tune the engine or fit a bigger turbo.

How did you know that you were getting heat soak? What are the indicators for that besides the engine temp being abnormal

Even if you don’t pass smog, you can always find a place that passes you regardless. Just be ready to throw extra $ their way.

Hahah. You can’t do that. The turbo muffler is what connects the turbo pipe to the turbo.
You can run different style turbo mufflers but you can’t run with no turbo muffler.

And I still walk away with a fully custom car that’s cheaper on insurance and gas. Especially when “racing” is not my goal.
All the mods on this car cost around 2-3k and the car itself is around 10k now. C63 is still 50k stock, plus with an amg everyone knows what you got.

I think it really just comes down to enjoying the outcome & what you like to put into it. It's your personal vehicle and it's just rather fun doing it. Simple as that..
