    I've used this a few times myself, it went very smooth, DJI in China called me one time to see how my experience was, its a must to have this, thanks for making this, it was very informative

      @The Geistfeld’s they usually won’t give a replacement if it’s stuck anywhere. you almost always need to send back some part of the drone. DJI customer support has been really helpful to me over the past few years.

    Great video, 🤘 it definitely helped me! I too have a question lol. I crashed my Mini 2, the arm broke. Do I send it in with all the propellers or can I remove them? Only one propeller actually snapped.. wouldn't mind having extras, just wondering what your thoughts are.

    Can you tell me if the fee you paid in this case 99 dollarsa gets refunded or must you pay it? I have two fre replacement for a DJI osmo action 3 camera but it says I ahve to pay a pre authorisation of 200 dollars it doesnt say if I will get it back so I am afraid to go through with it essentially. Any help would be appreciated.

    Dunno if you will see this but my drone got hit by a bird during RTH but got lost in a river, no way of recovery and I have a 2 year care refresh. Am I screwed or can I still get a replacement... at a fee of course. Thanks.

      ohhh that sucks. i would download the flight log and send it to DJI support. the log can show where it crashed and why you couldn't retrieve it. they have been really helpful to me in the past. good luck!

    I just shipped my Mavic mini out today, I went to the UPS Store and They packaged the drone up and shipped it with The DJI Refresh Express Shipping Label they emailed me.
    Did I have to include the case number in the box or is the label enough for them to figure out which drone is mine? I'm just worried lol. I'm New to all of this and I never done it before. My Expected Delivery Day is Jan 10 to CERRITOS, CA US.

    So when I try this, all works fine until I get to select region and country section, and I pick Canada, since thats where I live, and it days “Your selection is not currently available”. What’s the deal? Do I need to do it through a Canadian dji site or.......?? Any help and advice would b appreciated. Thanks!

    G'day mate, just had to use my first replacement. Question - do you need to unbind the drone from the controller before sending? Cheers mate good info.

      hey thanks. you don’t have to do anything but you will need to bind it with the new drone.

    I own the mini se fly more combo. Do i just need to send the drone and one battery plus the RC or the whole pakcage which consists the 2 extra batteries, propellers etc??

      you only send in what doesn’t work. if the one battery is fine all you send in is the drone. so I usually send in just the drone. But I’d the battery got damaged then I send in the battery and drone.

      @@AerialMotionPhotography ur kidding! I crashed my air 2s this morning too! Have had for only a few weeks. And honestly Idk if it was an operator error. It just responded strangely! But whatever, I’ll gladly take the blame if it helps with getting a new one

      @@PTS328 it's part of the game lol. mine was user error.
      yeah if you except responsibility with DJI Care Refresh they will send you a replacement as soon as they receive your drone. It takes a couple/few more days if you want them to look into the case.

    Hi, I crashed my drone yesterday, I didn have this protection at the time of the crash, does it means that I can not buy it to repair my drone with DJI after the accident? I have a trip in 15 days, what would be the easiest way to have my gimbal repair before my trip? Thanks for your help I am a first time drone owner.

      ohhh I’m sorry to hear that! You won’t be able to use the insurance. you have to purchase the insurance at the time of purchase or within 48 hours after the first flight and you have to show it is in working condition.
      The option is to send to DJI to get repaired or send it to a 3rd party repair company. I have only had my drones fixed by DJI. If you send it to DJI they will evaluate the damage and give you a quote on the cost to fix it.

    Hey I recently crashed my drone and I did the exact steps but U haven't received a shipping label?? This yours take a while to receive? I see forum's with other having the same shipping label issue. Many say it takes 2 day to receive the label? What's your experience?

    How do you disconnect the drone from your dji app? I’m about to send my mini 2 back and I heard you need to make sure it’s not bound to your account anymore beforehand

      you don’t have to do anything like that. just send it in. I always write in sharpe on the inside of the box the case number that you get in the email from DJI just to make it easier on the employees if it gets mixed up. and also you don’t need to re-bind your DJI Care to the replacement drone. It automatically gets attached in their system :) hope this helps

      @@Andyrewky i believe if you fly recreationally you do not need to register the new drone but if it is commercial the registration is by serial number so you will have to register the new replacement drone.

    I don't understand the dji care refresh express thing lol so, instead of getting it fixed for free you pick express and just get a new one for $99? but if I only have DJI care refresh +, do I have to buy DJI care express? the wind blew my drone in a lighthouse lol and then fall all the way down on the concrete... and there's only a couple scratch, my gimbal don't work properly at fast speed and my LED landing light is not working anymore. I don't know what the best options is.

      So what I do is if I know the damage is going to cost over the $99 deductible then I do express. But if I’m not sure and think it may cost less than the $99 deductible I would wait to get an estimate. The estimate can take a couple days and then also more time for them to repair. Pretty much everything on a drone is expensive (especially the gimbal) and will cost more than the deductible. Hope this helps.

      @@AerialMotionPhotography awesome, I was not aware of that at all! lol I thought you were sending the drone for repair only and it was taking 2-3 months to get it back. I thought that they were just sending a new one if it was a flyaway and you had to pay like $400. I should double check my information source next time lol

    So I bought the $99 dji care refresh when I purchase my drone. Do I still have to pay an additional $99 to replace it now? Seems like the care refresh is basibally $200 then. Or am I missing something?

      yes you do have to pay the deductible. it is still way worth it. unless your damage is less than $100 then you may rather pay for it out of pocket and save one of your refreshes.

It crashed into and got tangled in some tress and then fell down and landed mostly on the front arm and gimbal. Now the gimbal is jammed back sideways and it’s saying gimbal stuck. I’m totally new to this and got no clue, but I’m guessing it’ll b over $100.

      there aren’t too many. a lot of the time you need the actual drone or parts of the drone to send back. it doesn’t cover lost drones unless the drone flew away due to a technical problem.

    When they ask for the propellers is that the extra propellers as well? What if i lost em during the crash? Also, for this instant my drone was hovering and out of nowhere started tilting right until it hit a wall and kept the motors running until it broke and crashed down (motors still on). Like why the fck would i pay for product malfunction?!

      what you need to do it’s download your flight log and send that to DJI support. they can look at it and it will show what happen and they will replace it for free if it was a malfunction.
      also you don’t need to send your spare props. I don’t know why they want them but when you get your drone back and it’s under warranty they will give you new props

Like i owned a dji mini 2 and i really wish i had bought refresh for that bc the crash was truly my fault and id been for paying the 100$ anytime but not for this instant

    Anyone know if I need to 'register' or 'connect' the new device to my account after using care refresh??

      I’m not sure but I believe you don’t have to re register it and DJI keeps track. But I do know that when you switch remotes or link a remote to a new drone it asks you to bind the remote to the drone. So make sure you do that. It gives you instructions on the screen on how to do it. You will need internet connection.

      check your email for a DJI invoice for purchasing DJI Care and there should be a code

      DJI emails you a prepaid shipping bar code you use to send it. You do need to use your own box.

    Wouldnt accept my claim even though clearly covered, pass the buck, you cant transfer to new drone either you pay twice for useless cover.
