I loaded my video late in the evening and got my response early next morning . I still had to figure out how to record my screen since I don't have the same controller . However, looking forward to make the most of using the video upload service. I thought for a minute that I was going to fly my lil' guy without the dji care fresh. Hi and thanks for this video… I have a few questions… how do I open the app on the controller to start the screenshot? Are you talking about being on the app online on my laptop at the same time as I am recording… Do I need to take the laptop outside or do I start the process inside with the drone controller running and then take them both outside? Also, when it comes to the part where I show how the drone is operating, you say to tap on the top of the screen… In the instructional video on the DJI website, it says tap the upper left corner icon… which I do not see on the screen… I could not get that part of the screen to show the diagnostics of how the drone is operating… I have been trying to figure this out as I missed the 48 hour window by two hours while I was traveling… Any help would be greatly appreciated as I spent a couple hours trying to figure this out yesterday and there’s no one to get on the phone to help clarify.

I never would have guess that Bill Nye: The Science guy would end up teaching me how to insure my drone. But really, the process was easy. The site wouldn't let me submit my application, but DJI Chat support took a look at the video and accepted/processed my request and I recieved received that link to purchase the Care Refresh on the spot.

Absolutely. After you've linked the controller and drone to your DJI ID by signing in in DJI FLY or DJI GO4 simply follow the steps, do the video upload and wait for DJI to approve you for Care Refresh. Let us know how it works out!

Any ideas for when I get to the customer upload section, I input everything required, click submit, and nothing happens. Tried 2 different computers, several different web browsers... Just like the "Submit" button doesn't have a link attached to it. does absolutely nothing. No idea how or why an issue this stupid is stopping me dead.
I thought the "zones" of different countries, wasn't to exclude crash coverage, but to send it to the proper location in your "zone." So, In Italy, you would just send it to Canada zone, instead of Italy zone. But I never looked into it. Just don't make logical sense that it matters where it crashes. After all, you can choose expedited replacement, and they don't even ask where you crashed it. I've replaced probably 4 drones or more under the program.

I am going to update what you think was not covered. If your drone is purchased in Canada and you purchase your refresh in Canada, you crash it in Italy and you bring it back to Canada, it is covered.

Better buy DJI refresh, because there costumer service, sucks & once you start a complain even if you just bought the drone the'll stall untill your warntee periods is over as well then block that you can get DJI refresh care..! 2+ months of continue worst costumer service ever .. have even proven drone passed there verification video but other departments say you can't add refresh to a dammage drone ? You mean one that went to your authorize service center and deamed to have a controller issue but they said they fixed but issues still persists so ? 1 says drone good, 2 says drone can't do because damaged. But bit of you are DJI so ? Stall tactics bit more my warranty period is soon over ..!
DJI is a pain in the ass, incredibly ridiculous to not offer the CareRefresh when activating the drone - in my case the Mav3... No notice when unpacking the drone that you only have 48 hours or you have to go through all these hoops to purchase Care Refresh, its just a deviously planned fucking mystery, well planned by DJI - props to their little trap scenario for money spending customers; so people will fly it anyway without the warranty, crash it or lose it, and be shit out of luck, money spent, money lost, and you have to buy another drone, their journey to the dark side is complete! I am not sure if I will fly my Mavic 3 for a first time, or just return it to B&H and get an EVO and be done with DJI and their crappiness, like “oh, I can’t fly the drone here!?!?” bullshit.

Good question that provides an opportunity to explain the difference. This isn't the 'warranty' that is on a DJI product. It's the optional after-care insurance (like AppleCare) that covers other faults not in the warranty like pilot error, dropping it, getting it wet, etc. Since a warranty doesn't cover you for your mistakes, dropping things or whatever, DJI Care Refresh acts as separate coverage for those. And the after 48 hour requirement to upload a video prevent people who have already crashed their drone from buying the coverage after the fact. Appreciate the question, and thanks for being a part of our channel!

doesn't work on the new DJI Air 3. however, if you are within 15 days, you can submit a service request and get a replacement. on the replacement, you may be able to purchase the DJI Care. I just mailed mine in and hopefully, i'll be able to pull it off! stay tuned. ;-)

simply swipe down from the top of the smart controller screen to reveal the Quick Settings menu. Screen record icon is there, just tap it. A second way is to hold down the back button (top left corner) and click the record video button.

Note: if you're using an iPhone, depending on the model and iOS version you may have to turn on screen recording after the aircraft is connected to the controller. If you do it before, it sometimes will be stopped when you open up the flight control app.

Screen Recording is not in the iPhone's Control Center by default... you have to add it first.

No, DJI won't honor coverage for a crash that occured outside the zone of purchase.

Unless you have drone hacks installed you can't check these things without activation

Sadly no. DJI Care only works in the zone you are in!
Is this not an option for the Dji fpv drone? Went to the website and the “aircraft type” drop down menu has no option for selecting the fpv drone 😔
You can get it for the FPV, but it's totally not worth it. The price of the care package + repair fee is nearly as high as the price of a new drone...
