2. Affleck (I don't give a fuck what you Marvel fanatics say..not like I dislike Marvel's work..but please..Batman doesn't kill, and he just doesn't... Affleck's idiotic "world weary Batman" shit excuse isn't gonna fix it.
The music, the tone, That scene of him beating that fanatic and NOT saying “I am Batman” and instead “I’m vengeance!” God this is the Batman movie we deserve.
I hope he says the full line in that scene “ I am vengeance, I am the knight, I’m batman”

Bless Matt Reeves. Just based off this teaser I know the movie will deliver big time. Plus you can just tell that he is a talented and incredibly competent director from how he handled the last 2 Apes movies. We're in for a treat.
Hearing Paul Dano basically give a crazy There Will Blood style sermon but as The Riddler is giving me so much chills. He is the perfect choice as The Riddler.
I totally agree. As soon as I heard he was cast, I knew it was a great choice. He was incredible in There Will Be Blood and should have been nominated for best supporting actor. He's also really good in Prisoners.
Ronnie Henry Prisoners is one of the only movies I’ve seen that legitimately made me feel bad for a character and dislike him at the same time and that’s because of Paul Dano
Paul Dano is one of the most underrated actors of our time. He is incredible in There Will Be Blood and Prisoners. He has crazy range from his roles in Swiss Army Man to Ruby Sparks. Can't wait to see his twisted take on The Riddler.

Xensonar there’s a cover by at sea that was used for the last of us remastered trailer that is actually pretty good; but yeah - love the use of the original here.
The cowl off scene makes him look like the Arkham Nightwing.

This has always been my criticism/observation of the Nolan films. They are INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLEEE films, that is without a doubt! But they just...didn't feel like Batman films. No film ever has. No portrayal ever has. I was actually one of the few people who was immediately on board for Ben Affleck as Batman. I really liked his portrayal but I just didn't like what Snyder did to the character, it once again took out the essence of Batman. This though...THIS feels like Batman. Both appearance wise (someone tall but also lean and muscular who can be believably agile as opposed to the roided out Batfleck) and the visual vibe of the film feels right.
It honestly reminds me a lot of the nolan films in the dark tone and more grounded looking world
I completely agree. The nolan films didn't have a good bruce wayne, the batman was a very watered down batman, and it felt more like an inception series of films than they did batman films. Battfleck didn't even get a fucking movie. This actually looks like a batman movie.

Totally agree. I’m gonna come out and say The Batman will surpass every single other Batman film out. Robert Pattinson is gonna kill it. Matt Reeves is creating a masterpiece.
I agree with barrett this is like daredevil turned to 12. When batman said "im vengeance" it reminded me of the daredevil series right away for some reason.
@@DanV900 he's saying that the tone of the entire trailer is more similar to Daredevil than anything else. I completely agree and the movie looks fucking awesome.
Also the no cut fight scene kinda gives off hallway vibes
@@DanV900 It can have tones of both. The beating down by Bats definitely reminds me of the Daredevil series in conjunction of the gangster vibes & colour template but also the killer theme as with Seven
That first shot of Batman got all of our attention.
Paul Dano as a terrifying Riddler! I mean c'mon! Catwoman? Gordan? This looks like BATMAN. The tone of this trailer tells you everything you need to know about how they are approaching this universe. Also we have Colin Ferral's Penguin running around this universe for future movies. Wow. I am blown away. Let's go! Finally a real creepy and mysterious Riddler v Batman showdown.
I'm so glad I can FINALLY show this to the people I've talked to that said "Pattinson is trash" and "He's gonna ruin it". Can't wait to look at all of those faces and say "I told you so".

@@DJVEGAS1000 Pattinson is an excellent actor. The problem is that he isn't in a lot of mainline movies so people still see him as Edward from Twilight. I've been sold on his since the announcement and this trailer reinforced how good of a job he can do.

This trailer alone has convinced me that this film could potentially top the dark knight! the trailer is brilliant but i must give props to the score in this trailer! The trailers swelling score mixed with nirvana especially at the end alongside the logo was just gorgeous 👌

It looks like we’re about to get a REAL Batman movie! You have every right to be pumped! I jumped out of my seat when this came on!

This is Se7en mixed w/ a superhero story; finally a detective Batman movie. The trailer editing team did a great job making Gordon's dialogue play out like a riddle in the opening. This has the potential to be one of the best Batman movies. It's got that "grounded" look while not tossing out the element that make Batman.
Colin Ferrell also looks UNRECOGNIZABLE (he's the balding heavy guy in the rain w/ the Nixon-nose, also seen driving the car the Batmobile is chasing).
This is one of the best movie trailers I've ever seen
As a huge DC nerd and an even bigger Batman nerd I couldn’t be more happy with how this trailer presents the movie. I have high hopes for sure!
Someone finally mentioned it! the classic Batman silhouette with the "A" in "The BatmAn" was SO SO clever.

Just based off the trailer, they absolutely nailed the aesthetic of what Gotham should be. It looks incredible. Paul Dano’s voice gave me chills

best part of the suit is that its literally perfect..afflecks suit was dope and flexible but the build made him look fat... the build of bales batman was good but he looks stiff, this suit is the perfect build and it seems like he can move very well in it
When I heard that He was going to be Batman... I knew that he would be the best. This kid is TALENTED.

I was 100% wrong about the suit. It looked great in motion. Also, the long holloween was a huge inspiration for this as well apparently, which has me stoked!
Seeing the red WB and The Batman logos makes me really want a separate Batman Beyond franchise already. Give me a Cyberpunk Gotham city directed by Denis Villnueve and Timothee Chalamet as Terry McGinnis and lets keep this rolling DC. They would work being released around the same time cause they’re completely different takes on Batman. Also I want Keaton as the Bruce Wayne on the chair for this. You’re all welcome in advance
Robert Pattinson wouldn't have been a terrible pick for Terry when he was younger.
Jared Berry I mean yea he wouldn’t have been either. And I actually think when he was younger, Taylor Lautner had a great look for Terry. But Chalamet has that long slender look that would work well for terry. Can’t be all bulky like you can be playing Bruce Wayne

Yes Joker did help BUT it also *helps* if the director is some type of fan of the Batman comics and has an idea of what type of character Batman has been over the years OR is a talented enough director to give a good story based on what he may know. Nolan proved that being a fan of the Batman comics.
Best part is the look of fear in those thugs faces after batman beats down that guy. ☆☆☆☆☆

i think people will be shocked by robert pattinson’s performance. this will be a great movie. i think maybe the best batman movie yet. this definitely gives me the arkham game vibes. as well as se7en, the crow, and the hush. the way the nirvana music goes into batman’s score. god amazing. i have never been more pumped for a dc movie. can’t wait.

I get a feeling that Riddler might think Batman is a villain and his soul mate. Also slight vibes of Batman/Hannibal Lecter with RIddler being Buffalo Bill.
All of a sudden I’m very excited for this movie.
I legit had the same look as Greg when i watched the trailer the 2nd time, wave of emotions flooding my heart and I could just break into tears anytime. This is the Batman story I wanted to be made into a big screen movie, the journey of an Angry young man who learnt all the skills necessary to seek Vengeance upon the very city that his parents loved.
Major "Netflix Daredevil + Se7en" vibes from this!

I appreciate that this Bruce looks disheveled and miserable. The suit naturally feels like an extension of that.
The suit doesn't look miserable or dishevelled, it looks too fresh and clean, while also not being really menacing or uniform to fit together.
It's like some random guy just modded a bike helmet and some basic body armour, added a cape and that's it.
Not really Batman's style IMO.

I wasn’t sure about The Riddler just because I wasn’t sure how they were going to depict him, but I’m all in on this psycho borderline serial killer version of him rather than goofy green suit gyrating around. Dano is a great piece of casting.
Andy's "bitch, fu- fuckin bit- bitch" when they're watching the beat down the second time is the A-tier color commentary that I expect from the kinda funny crew
I'm glad I had highs hopes right off the bat with Battinson and Reeves when so many didn't, and i'm also glad those people are now getting the overall point. This is going to defy every expectation, i am so fucking hyped.
This is just like when people were crapping on Christian Bale before 'Batman Begins' was shown. Pattinson is gonna do a great job.

It's an amazing trailer! I'm extremely excited for this movie. I hope people don't start picking apart the Nolan films now or comparing them too much. They're incredible good movies as well, and they made for a different period of time. Context matters a lot for films.
Also, the trailer reminded me of The Last of Us Remastered trailer that used a cover of "Something in the Way".
I think this movie will absolutely destroy The dark knight trilogy.

This is how Events should be done from now on. Just focus on what needs to be and not trying to go for Reactions they just take too long. With the way it is now you can breeze through and get straight to the points. Love this film. Can’t wait I had Zero doubts Robert was going to kill it and with no Surprise he does! Plus I love that his Cawl is technically a Nod to Batman: Gotham Knight which was the same sort of look at the poster then Gotham Knights poster and you’ll see what i mean since its too dark to notice here!

Carson Jay they already confirmed he’s going to be in the trilogy. I just am already digging this world and am excited to see all the villains they bring in over these 3 movies. "When I heard this guy was gonna be Batman, I was like nope, no way." - Yeah, how many times do you need to be reminded that your initial thoughts on an actor playing a Batman character are probably going to be wrong by the time you see what they do?
"I never thought we were ever going to see a movie that reached the levels of Nolans trilogy" - Why? Of course that was amazing, but why would Nolan be the only director who would ever be able to do an amazing Batman movie? It's like the people who said "Jack Nicholson is THE Joker. No one will ever be as good as Nicholson. Ever."... and then along comes Ledger and everyone says he's the best now. Same thing about the suits. Happens almost every time.
