Robert Pattenson had input on the suit design on what is comfortable to wear. They wanted it to look like he built it himself and its still evolving. Also Christian Bale told him to make sure you're able to use the bathroom easily.
Yeah back in his Twilight days, Rob was always begging wardrobe to make it easier for him to work. He hates anything blocking his eyes, like contacts... or white eyes in the mask. And I'm sure he wanted to have full movement in the suit. He's also a huge batman fan from way back, same as Matt Reeves. This is in good hands.

Ya know... Since this trailer dropped last night, I’ve probably watched it about 150 times. No lie. I’ve been searching for everyone’s reaction videos and watching them like mad last night and all today … And I have to say that this is one of my favorites. You reacted the same way that I did, and I loved it. I cannot wait for over a year for this to come out… This is insane. In the absolute most wonderful way. I love every single thing about it.

Finally a batman in his infancy.. Young, full of rage, hasn't quite learned how to control his emotions, doesn't have all the gadgets quite yet and the killer crazy batmobile.. And I love they actually show him still wearing they eye make up, instead of it just magically disappearing.. It seriously has that French Connection/Zodiac/Seven feel.. Gritty.. I love it

A perfect teaser trailer. BATMAN is just strolling around like in the comics in the dark, gritty atmosphere of Gotham the way it should be. What's even more amazing is that they only shot roughly 25% of the movie according to the director. They had to halt filming because of Covid. This movie is shaping up to be incredible.
This is by far the best reaction and I have been watching them since this trailer was released. It's genuine and really heartfelt because you guys reacted, in the same way, I did when Batman showed up at the crime scene as we remember him and the fight scene was the nail in the coffin with a topping of Riddler in the background talking. Absolutely one of the most amazing trailers I have ever seen.
It's almost poetic that right after the trailer ended, there was pin drop silence and you could hear sirens in the background. It's almost as if Batman was there.
What makes this trailer more amazing is that they only filmed 25% of the film so far and even with such little footage they had they made that trailer God tier👌🏻
That siren sounding off in the background at the end as the two of ya soaked in the afterglow ... you couldn't have written that any better. That I'm vengeance line ... that's a reference back to the animated series that was used in the Arkham Knight game as well; "I'm vengeance, I'm the night, I'm Batman"

I'm a 55 year old woman who grew up with the comics, the TV show, all the movies and...finally, FINALLY, the detective is really on the scene. The suit is amazing! The scenes are dark. The beat down is brutal, you can feel the emotions right through the lens! The muscle car look is absolutely stunning ( grew up with the muscle cars, had one myself as first car, so I'm partial to them). I'm not gonna lie, when my son told me who was cast as Batman I was shocked. I didn't doubt he could do it, Robert Pattinson is a phenomenally underrated actor. The pan to the head for me was that someone actually took proper notice! I barely breathed during this trailer. The sound of the last gasping breath almost had me out of my seat!
It’s perfect. I keep watching it. I honestly feel the way I did when I watched that first Joker teaser. Because it was really the same dynamic. They announce that Joaquin Phoenix is playing the Joker, and a lot of people are like "What the hell are they doing?". And they had just had Jared Leto play the Joker (badly) in Suicide Squad. People were not convinced about the casting. Then they saw the teaser and especially the following trailer, and people were like "Holy shit!" It didn't really matter about it being set in the 80s or if they changed a few details. They proved that they DEEPLY understood the character. If you have that, you can go anywhere with it and people will love it. And we did. It is the same thing here. They announced Robert Pattinson as Batman and people were (again) like "What the hell are they doing?". They had also just had Ben Affleck play Batman. They're still having him come back to play Batman. I thought Affleck's Batman in Justice League was ridiculous. It showed a complete lack of understanding of the character. They tried to make him Tony Stark. It didn't work. I hope the version of the character in the Snyder cut is vastly different. Maybe he can gain a little redemption there. Anyway, I think a fair amount of people didn't have high expectations for Pattinson. Then this. Just like the Joker, they seemed to say, "You don't think we understand Batman? Let us show you how DEEPLY we understand Batman." They nailed it. It is so good that it actually worries me a little. That maybe the movie doesn't nail it this well. But if it does. Holy shit. They got so much right. So much of the core of who this character is in such a short teaser. Again, if they have that, they can go anywhere and we’ll love it. Honestly, the most exciting thing for me is that if they pull this off, I think this could very easily be my favorite live-action Batman (character-wise). No other person who has put on the suit comes close enough to my Batman (the comics, Batman: The Animated Series, and the Arkham games). Keaton’s Batman was important. No one had ever taken the character that seriously at that point. The suit had never been black before. Doesn’t hold up as well today, but it was important for its time. Bale was okay. Kilmer was okay. Affleck was so-so (but probably bad writing), Clooney was bad casting in a bad movie. Adam West is his own entity. He was great, but in an entirely different way. He actually used to refer to his Batman as “The Bright Knight” and I think that’s a perfect way to describe it. But this? This could be the best Batman since Conroy, and that is the highest praise of the character that I can give.

I love watching the reaction videos to this and ya’ll were one one my favorites. Speechless. This is gonna be an amazing movie. It’s got the vibe, the suit, the car, the director, the actor and just this perfect monster of vengeance that we’ve grown to love.
Jay and Adam, I saw a lot of reaction videos from this trailer, but your reaction from the minute 2:49 to me was one of the best and that was spontaneous. You were speechless for more than a minute after the Batman scene hit the guy and it looked like Bruce Wayne taking his anger out on a bad guy.
This trailer gave me goosebumps like the audio trailer for The Dark Knight did. Just enough to show you something, not enough to show you exactly what. But good grief did it deliver on every checklist I had in my mind.
Not to get overly hyped or anything, but titling this “THE Batman” has me potentially thinking that this could actually be THE best Batman film. Looking way forward to this!

To all the families with negative reactions to this film and it's dark tone, this film seems to be tapping into the mental instability of who bruce Wayne is. He was a boy that witnessed his parents murder in front of him, in real life those situations can form multiple mental health/personality issues, hence why he dresses up as a BAT to unconsciously try to save his patents as an adult. He's a disturbed individual, let's not get that wrong. If you want amazing batman content that's kid friendly watch the animated series, but this right here is a batman film more suitable for adult fans of the character and the dark iterations from the comic books of old. I think we can all agree it's a good time to be alive as a batman fan!

I'm not gonna lie, when my son told me who was cast as Batman I was shocked. I didn't doubt he could do it, Robert Pattinson is a phenomenally underrated actor. The pan to the head for me was that someone actually took proper notice! I barely breathed during this trailer. The sound of the last gasping breath almost had me out of my seat!
That silence after was amazing haha one of the best reactions.

I keep watching it. I honestly feel the way I did when I watched that first Joker teaser. Because it was really the same dynamic. They announce that Joaquin Phoenix is playing the Joker, and a lot of people are like "What the hell are they doing?". And they had just had Jared Leto play the Joker (badly) in Suicide Squad. People were not convinced about the casting. Then they saw the teaser and especially the following trailer, and people were like "Holy shit!" It didn't really matter about it being set in the 80s or if they changed a few details. They proved that they DEEPLY understood the character. If you have that, you can go anywhere with it and people will love it. And we did.
It is the same thing here. They announced Robert Pattinson as Batman and people were (again) like "What the hell are they doing?". They had also just had Ben Affleck play Batman. They're still having him come back to play Batman. I thought Affleck's Batman in Justice League was ridiculous. It showed a complete lack of understanding of the character. They tried to make him Tony Stark. It didn't work. I hope the version of the character in the Snyder cut is vastly different. Maybe he can gain a little redemption there.
Anyway, I think a fair amount of people didn't have high expectations for Pattinson. Then this. Just like the Joker, they seemed to say, "You don't think we understand Batman? Let us show you how DEEPLY we understand Batman." They nailed it. It is so good that it actually worries me a little. That maybe the movie doesn't nail it this well. But if it does. Holy shit. They got so much right. So much of the core of who this character is in such a short teaser. Again, if they have that, they can go anywhere and we’ll love it.
Honestly, the most exciting thing for me is that if they pull this off, I think this could very easily be my favorite live-action Batman (character-wise). No other person who has put on the suit comes close enough to my Batman (the comics, Batman: The Animated Series, and the Arkham games). Keaton’s Batman was important. No one had ever taken the character that seriously at that point. The suit had never been black before. Doesn’t hold up as well today, but it was important for its time. Bale was okay. Kilmer was okay. Affleck was so-so (but probably bad writing), Clooney was bad casting in a bad movie. Adam West is his own entity. He was great, but in an entirely different way. He actually used to refer to his Batman as “The Bright Knight” and I think that’s a perfect way to describe it.
But this? This could be the best Batman since Conroy, and that is the highest praise of the character that I can give.
The nerdgasm after he says, "I'm Vengeance", made me laugh so hard. Love this teaser!!!!!!

Jay and Adam, I saw a lot of reaction videos from this trailer, but your reaction from the minute 2:49 to me was one of the best and that was spontaneous. You were speechless for more than a minute after the Batman scene hit the guy and it looked like Bruce Wayne taking his anger out on a bad guy.
One of the best reactions I’ve seen for this trailer,....could not sub fast enough,....one of the few times that RUclips recommendations was worth it.

This trailer gave me goosebumps like the audio trailer for The Dark Knight did. Just enough to show you something, not enough to show you exactly what. But good grief did it deliver on every checklist I had in my mind.
3:12 look at the way 'A' in the logo is animated.
Not to get overly hyped or anything, but titling this “THE Batman” has me potentially thinking that this could actually be THE best Batman film. Looking way forward to this!

This reaction is beautiful and you guys are totally me, I love this trailer so much! Pattinson is crushing it and I'm so proud of him. I also have to comment on the young actor at 2:56, second from the right, because his one second of acting just standing there kills me every time. The fear, the emotion on his face, tears in his eyes even. Don't know if it's possible but I'm hoping somehow he could be Robin.
To all the families with negative reactions to this film and it's dark tone, this film seems to be tapping into the mental instability of who bruce Wayne is.
He was a boy that witnessed his parents murder in front of him, in real life those situations can form multiple mental health/personality issues, hence why he dresses up as a BAT to unconsciously try to save his patents as an adult.
He's a disturbed individual, let's not get that wrong.
If you want amazing batman content that's kid friendly watch the animated series, but this right here is a batman film more suitable for adult fans of the character and the dark iterations from the comic books of old.
