Today I will be showing you how to make your Ninebot scooter faster (obviously only when your scooter is region locked.) This may not work for everyone, but if anything this should give you better torque. With this said, battery life might be worse after doing this, so proceed with caution. I am not liable for anything you do, and remember to check your local scooter laws so you don't break any laws!

Android Phone with working Bluetooth
A scooter that supports Bluetooth (E22, ES2, ES4, MAX & MAX G30LP)

99.4% of you are not subscribed, so there's that. But here are some things to note. First, I am using an ES4 and it's been a couple years since I posted this video. So this video may or may not work for even the ES4, and I have NO WAY to tell if a newer/older scooter model will work with this (I do not have the money to test every scooter lol.) Generally the ES4 has 2 batteries, which allow for enough power to bring this above the 15mph it is limited to. Would I recommend you just buy a scooter like the Segway P65 (amzn.to/3OTqnX1 all amazon links will be affiliate links btw) that already goes over 20mph stock? Absolutely, but you probably already own the scooter. But here is what I recommend. I currently have a Bird ES4-800, which does not pair with any apps because bluetooth is locked down. What I did is changed the dash board (amzn.to/3EcA7qg this is the one I used, but you want the green dashboard, like this amzn.to/3qHFpXR) and then followed the steps in the video. You should be able to use this app to get the same results though if the apps in the description aren't available (even though they are in the US) play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.peretti.m365tools&pcampaignid=web_share
Also borrow an andorid phone, this will never work on iPhones unless you make an app yourself. Ever.

What will you do if you cannot turn off and on your scooter after using these methods here?
To most wanting to do max speed make sure to enable No KERS, this ensures that you don't do a front flip when you let off the throttle at max speed. When going speeds above 15mph, the braking system gets a little wonky and seems to apply a lot of force that you need to physically change your posture to compensate
And lean towards the back always. Braking will always throw you forward regardless of what you're doing.

Thanks for this instructive video. Will this work with a Segway Ninebot E2 Plus, currently on sale at AMZN? It looks like xiaoflash app was updated in September '23 so I'm guessing probably. Also... what's the difference between this and cutting the "blue wire" as per that German video?
it works for the es2 ninebot just tried it on my own, only problem i ran into was not being able to download esdowng only because i have a newer andriod but i downloaded it through an apk file with no problems followed step by step was very easy to understand and it only took around 5-6min for me my es2 went from 15mph to 21mph in no time bro the look on my face when i tested it out said it all 3 years later and this method still works was just gonna spend 200$ on the segway battery to go 18mph but than this video came so thanks fam.

Thank you bro I did this last year in September and everything went well until I ran into some problems with my extended battery in may last month and i had to update the scooter since I fixed the battery and put it back on the scooter yesterday. After the update it went 25kph so I watched this video again so thank you so much.

Yo i have a question. So my ninebot es4 got a little to much rain yesterday and turned off , but i got it home and turned it back on and once i did it ran normally, BUT the one thing is for the red gear mode doesnt go top speed anymore ... It stays at 20:(

(Without 250lbs of me on it) Thanks for the help man! Any idea what the loud clicking sound would be on my ES3 when going over bumps? I tried tightening all bolts, and the stem nuts in the proper order. No luck.
Clunking noise is a normal operating characteristic of the front shock absorber (coil spring) according to segway. no need to modify or worry about 🙃

Mine was doing this, and was very confused. Thought I had a bearing issue or something loose. I took compressed air, blew out all dirt and debris from rear shock, sprayed some chain lube on spring. Noise went away
You just have to prepare for it and lean back slightly..I'm 250 too and I've learned how to smoothly let the suspension not sound like an explosion.

I have a ninebot bird 300. The BLE version is 0.0.0. I can't find the right flash from Xiaoflasher. When I try an attempt to flash It will cancel because of to many attempts. Do I need a ninebot display?
did you ever figure this out? i'm struggling with this also and scooterhacking.org doesn't say much about it.
Try some other flashers. It being a bird scooter might have an affect too. Try Either Xaioflasher or ES down g, (one is in the video) just make sure to create a new zip file to match the right flasher. But if it’s firmware is 0.0.0, it has likely been removed and is incompatible without a ninebot display
1.42 I have no option on xiao flasher to select a ble zip that section is not there for me my ble version is 2.1.3. I assume this is why i cannot check version in the later steps of the video on Es down G. Any help would be a greatly appreciated 🙏
Could you help me with this problem. I tried everytime to get the es4 zip version but instead its giving me de ESC2 zip file but everytime i press on es4 it will disappear when i press something else.

I tried it and did the same as you did exactly the same actually. Before he went 27kmph, former owner also tuned it up a little. Now he's going 23kmph max and I set the max speed on 40 like you did. But I heared stories 30 or even 27 kmph is the max it could go, so I had it on his top speed before doing what you did. Maybe it's because someone already made it run harder

the BLE on my scooter reads 2.1.3........the BlE options do not appear in order to flash....so got stuck at that point. if u have any suggestions, will be appreciated, thanks
Hi there. I followed your instruction step for step on my ES3 and unfortunately my scooter goes slower than when I first started. I went from 17 mph to 13 mph. I did the steps again thinking maybe I missed something and after 3 flashes to the scooter I'm still only able to go 13 mph. Is there anything else that you may know that I can try to get back to the 17 mph on Ninebot ES3?

Not sure how well it work on ES3 due to motor size. But you can use “m365 tools” to try to fix that issue.

Worked for me but I had to go back to version 1.06 even though I was currently on 1.10. Not sure if it would have worked for 1.10 but I couldn't get the check ver to work

@@sunnytoor5040 I used the ES4 preset for the ES3 and it works perfectly fine, just make sure to downgrade the BLE to 1.0.6 or else check version wouldn't work so that you couldn't be able to flash the new firmware
It works mad on my es2 since unlocking it with the duel battery full chargered it get up to 37km 🤙

Please can you do a vid on how to fix the led lights that run along the bottom of an E25e ninebot?
Will this work to unlock a Segway ninebot p65? Mine is region locked and won’t go beyond 25kph which is nuts for what it was built to do, and there’s no regional speed limit laws where I live.
Does changing the speed on the scooter does it deplete the battery faster on a ninebot max? I’ve been wanting to try changing speed from 18mph to 25mph but I wasn’t sure if it would interfere with the 40 mileage on a full charge

My ES2 throttle is too sensitive. I mean it is difficult to increase the speed steady. Turning throttle up to let's say to 30% of the entire range doesn't give any tork, then another 2-3% turns the power to almost maximum. Then small turning back turns the motor off. Is there any way to reprogram (or do whatever) to make the throttle behavior more smooth?
You may need to turn off regenerative brakes. I also know after so far the motor has a hard time controlling the voltage once the battery has been depleted a fair bit so it's either power down or full up.
@@TheFreshSpam The battery is full, Energy recycle is Weak. What else should I check to make your advice work?
@@vladimirchapranov I mean other than that theres not much else we can tinker without getting involved in the machine or using other software. Have you tried the other speed modes? Theres 3 options for speed and acceleration. You might be on sports mode, but you might already know all of this.
I'm otherwise hoping your segway is still under a year old? Becuase the manufacturer should honor a repair to either the accelerator, the control board or capacitors for free given you havent bumped it visibly and havnet taken it apart. It's a 1 year warranty from what I remember and people have options to extend to 3 years but most dont, if you dont have the warranty left I'll steer you in the direction of where next
@@TheFreshSpam Thank you very much. The segway is 1 month old. I just wouldn't want to spend my time on sending the device to manufacturer. It is usable, just not comfortable enough. I tried several other scooters of my neighbors, one is exact my model and all of them are moving much smoother than mine. So, I was thinking that I may adjust some settings to make it smoother. But as I already said it is usable.
@@vladimirchapranov Have you made sure your on the same mode settings as your freind? If you tap the power button its switches between acceleration modes. Like long range, standard and then sports. You may already know this though.
One last thing, take my opinion with a pinch of salt, If the acceleration issue is visible compared to others and you have a 3rd opinion agreeing saying it is different to another one of the same type I would suggest switching it and contacting segway as soon as possible, as much as it may be a bit of a hassle. it could be a hallmark sign of the start of a faulty board or chip, which could pop and break later down the line when your warranty is over or you've bumped it around more.
The baseline here is, if it's going faster to tops speeds than other normal ones, it's going to burn out faster, and if it's not programmed that way, it wont do it any good in the long run.

@@Vynien in my experience it’s not worth it , not too much speed and you’ll lose 40 % of the battery range in the standard mode .
I travel with mine 5.5 miles it leaves me with e bar and I would have to charge it up again always on sport mode has a good kick and speed I don’t recommend it if you are traveling farther than 5 miles also very dangerous during the day beneficial at late night hours about 20 to 30 min time to travel 5.5 miles unless you stop or wait at light, fastest I gotten home was about 25min non stop
I did exactly as u said in vdo and it worked my es2 segway scooter and last 3 days ago I had to change the front tier and locking handle and now it's back to normal again but this morning I did this again and it's looks like it worked but not like before this time my motor sound very louder than b4 any idea?how it fix?
Xiao flasher recognizes and connects but there is no information. The ble and everything else is blank.
Worked for me with ES2 on a Samsung Galaxy S9.
Also, anyone with a Error 21, it will still flash and you can use option "stealth mode" to stop it from constantly beeping. Since the wheel is disconnected from the board in the tube, it wont spin but it stops it from beeping and still works instantly when the wheel is reconnected. Once the wheel is fixed, reflash it without stealth mode to turn back on battery stats.

Just done mine and fking exited about it, I got another problem if you could give me a hand, when riding without lights on, is all good 36km/h, but when I turn on the lights, it only goes up to 24km/h, and it been like this ever since the beginning(since brand new) never had the time to take it to warranty or like that. Any thoughts? Take care
It’s for safety reasons because if u turn the light on it means that it’s dark therefore the scooter slows down
@@yr7127 its not this reason, ninebot scooters are full of problems, its most likely the braking system that limits the speed, in time it can go to braking the scooter completley and you cant even move it, but its a tutorial on yt on how to fix it. Mine goes with 25kmh which is the legal limit

@@kaylabrewer8748 idk what people mean by brick, but a few times I didnt follow the correct steps and the screen on the scooter went black and would drive then randomly turn off . So I just reset it back to the earliest versions of BMS,BLE,AND DRV, and it turned back on, I had to do it while the charger was still in. I dealt with more of a Bluetooth issue than anything.
You can also use Ninebot Flasher app from a PC, and connect to scooter via bluetooth.
How did you get the file for that ? I can’t see it on the app

I had speed issues with my MAX scooter now runs its maximum speed. no downloading necessary or file transfers and that upload this blah blah follow these easy steps :
1* goto play store and type "ninebot flasher" install "xiaoflasher" should be the first app showing?
2* Install it, turn on the scooter and open the app. Select your device and then it auto reads your device details
3* simply change your region to the highest speed setting.
Its THAT simple. Cant beleive it worked! No one on the Segway community global app could answer me I was getting frustrated lol now it finally kicks ass! 👍

@@gladyslovesraney3637 I've discovered the flash app might cause the segway app to create new and independent profiles meaning : your mileage history starts all over again, basically its a whole new scooter history.. I'm chatting with the guy who showed me the hack and he's looking into how to merge the software... But have fun if none of your current mileage history means anything to you 😊

Hi if any on could help . I have a es 2 with the external battery , after I flash it I have to do about a distance of 2 kilometers roughly . Then the speed hack kicks in , is this normal , or am I doing something wrong when flashing , any info will be much appreciated

If it's error 15 ur brake is broken or smth because i have the same thing
The rear brake light on the back of the scooter always flash with the beeps when there is any error. While its doing this it will also flash a number or a variety of #'s but displaying 1 at a time but pay attention to what # or #'s it flashes to u cuz thats how u find out which part of the system is causing that error. Then u can look up the issue by error specific error on RUclips or u can google Ninebot error code list and save that list. Good luck!
Haha damn, my es2 went from 25 kmh to 32 kmh on a strsight line. Im 95 kg (heavy) so did not feel any diffrence with torc

Jag har också en ES2 med extra batteri men får det inte att fungera. Jag har dock bytt ut min original motor på 250w till en ny på 350w. Tacksam för hjälp:)

Why only 25km default while mine out of the box is 28km? My es2.
Do you know of you can just change region in Xiaoflasher up to 30kph? Seen a few things on the interweb where it's broking the unit. Is this the case only when uploading custom firmware? Is jist changing region not an issue at all? I'm in the UK and it's limited to 25kph

Had any experience with throttle response? The flash worked great, Thank you!! Butt it lags when I let off the throttle, it wants to keep accelerating for almost a second.
Yes, just something I have gotten used to. Might be related to the regenerative braking, or lack off.
I tried it just yesterday. Followed all the steps. The only difference is that I choose the 1.10 instead of the 1.06 because I thought it should match. (But maybe that’s the issue).
I had problems connecting with the scooter. Needed to press a button to pair (extra step) and eventually did upload the new file.

Yeah I have the same version and the same thing happened but I got like a 2kph increase on the speed mode and the first slow mode now does 20kph aswell.
The eco mode is to increase the battery lifetime by having a more calmer acceleration. The standard mode is a bit faster then eco and slower then sport. I guess it's for slippery roads or when winter is coming. So you could drive off much safer instead of landing on your face when you do a burnout with your front wheel, lmfao

What worked for me was to just use 1 app to do this in this case the first app he uses not the 2nd one
