Greetings from America guys. It's 3am here and I am researching a gifted a Hover-1 Alpha 1.0. I must have watched 12 E-Scooter vids, and you guys win. I understood your English perfectly, but the accents made me a new subscriber! The demo was clear and concise. Touch wires, slow. Cut wire, fast. Hear it? Yes. Check the gauge. It's faster! I will do a switch when I mod mine, push for turbo mode!!
Did you do yours yet? I just got the 2.0 but im an adult and don't want to fry the motor with the weight. I assume this scooter is for kids. Do you like your scooter?
I would recommend running a on/off switch to the limiter with some extra cable to handle bars so you can run limiter when you are going slower to give the battery and motor a break or you risk cooking both.
@@ArtemGradinar think it doesn't matter what mode you put it on after disconnect the limiter loop it will go full capacity in all modes so better to just fit a switch and switch on when not doing full speed also not a good idea doing full speed for extended periods without limiter or you will kill it.
I drive the exact same model since 2021, 7300km on it, stock battery (48V 26Ah model, „100km range“, realistic 50-70 km range) and unlocked since day one. I go nearly all the time 30-40 km/h continuous, also steeper (longer) climbs with 20-25 km/h and nothing fried yet except the cheap LED high beams. But i also used thermal compound to improve heat transfer from the controller to the frame as well let the motor cool off a bit when the motor overheat icon lights up the very rare moments in the hottest summer days. I have absolutely no clue how you all think this „unlock“ will harm the scooter in long term. If you have not realized yet, those scooters are normally made to be delivered unlocked from factory (thats why many have a connector instead of a bare wire to cut), it just happens that in many countries they are regulated to either drive anywhere between 20 (23 with tolerances) and 25km/h legally so they are delivered in those countries locked. When we talk about the battery…. you are absolutely right about long term damage, especially with the cheapest 48V 10-12,8Ah models with 1000W (2000W peak) motor, when the manufacturers have not used high drain Li Ion cells you can be pretty sure the battery will degrade „fast“, so probably less than 500 cycles even possible since you can discharge the battery entirely within 20 minutes (25km/h or more slightly uphill) (so 3C continuous)
@@harrison00xXx yeah alot of the cheapo ones have the not so great batteries in and generally won't do well with scooter draining full capacity I know lots of people who have done the speed limiter hack and ended up with a dead scooter. My speedometer has been damaged three years ago without effect to speed control. What could have cause my max speed to be limited from unlimited.
I know that it can be done for many years, but I also know from many years of experience in electricity that if you cut the wire or remove the limiter, you will create a problem with the engine and the engine will catch fire like a flint, the factory puts a limit to protect excessive overheating or full throttle up the hill if you give it from a place, then if there is no limit, the engine will struggle and this will cause the coil to catch fire, there are many more bad sides to that!
I was thinking this. But also thought that the limiter is there as a default safety mode for various countries. Obviously the battery life will not last as long too I guessing?? I'm going to give it a go as my scooter is getting old and have the feeling that the battery is in its way out as it's 2 years old.
Update the "Controller Firmware" via the "Thunderbolt Port".. Not saying any motherboard will have that port, but mine did, there's algorithms hidden in there on files accessible through the laptop via the connector, did take a good bit of trial and error mind you !! Best option, leave it be because the Guards seized mine due to it's speed.. It's GONE now I'm afraid 😨

i have several diff color bkue wires and dont want to cut the wrong one. can you help me? i have a hyper skute brand scooter..pls help
It’s not an engine 😂
@@twiztid83222 it is an engine. Engine and Motor are the same thing. In this case, an electric motor.
Hello thank you for the tip! Will this method work with a Valk eScooter?
Hi guys. Would it be possible to do this to the SEGWAY NINEBOT F25E ? Thanks.
Your English is better than some Americans. Great job 👏
Hi my e bike Andersson 7000 gos to slow I wonder why.how to make it faster ?
Gratings Beck.
Only 45 !!! I managed to get mine to do 73kmph and it was originally 25kmph.. I didn't cut wires though.. Little bit of reprogramming involved 👍👍
How
Update the "Controller Firmware" via the "Thunderbolt Port"..
Your going to kill yourself dude.
How’d you do that ?
Hallo Meister
Ich habe ein Zwheel T4 würde das bei dem klappen ?

Hi, i have a EU-version Navee N65 with a maximum 25kmh that i want to change to 32kmh. On aliexpress that says you can change the speed by just changing the dashboard/display to a US version dashboard/display. Do you know if i only would need a US version dashboard and wont a new controller also? Thank you for advice and help
Same as me! only just received the scooter, but would like to get the most out of it - did you find a way to do it?
@@andyknowles666 Yes it works actually. Took the chance to only change the dashboard. It works. 32km/h
Can I do this on the Evercross A1 800 WATT electric scooter
Hello is it always a blue wire or what exactly should I follow how to know which wire it is ..I own an electric scooter Sencor Scooter one 2020 ( model name e9pro) I split the bottom cover where the cables are located but I do not know how to know which one is the limiter and I do not know if it is even possible to find the wire . I have read that some models have a software limiter. as far as I know the first models of this scooter were going up to 30kmh but after the update they are only going 25 and I can't change it even in the older version of the mobile app where the speed increases but immediately goes back again... Could you please help me ? Thank you.
Hi guys. I found my scooter's wires but not sure which one to cut. Where can i send you couple of pictures so to advise me?
I wonder if wiring a pedal or dial of some kind could be viable.
It would be like shifting gears on a ten speed bicycle and it could also help keep the motor and battery cooler.
on my scooter I have two blue wires, a thin, one and a thicker one. Which one should I cut?
Cut them both to see which one removes speed limiter, the one that isn t the speed limiter, connect it back
